We could not have been more pleased with our first visit to Rancho Del Oro Vet Hospital.  Dr. Morris and her staff were very pleasant and treated our 'little guy' gently and with care.  The way Dr. Morris handled our dog while checking him out put us at ease.  Aside from addressing the issue we brought him in for, she also provided useful insights to other items we needed to consider for our pet's benefit  In summary, it was a great experience for us, and our dog received the medical treatment he needed. We always take our Doberman/Shepherd mix (Axel) to this location, and have never been disappointed. We recently adopted a new 1 1/2 year old Labrador/Shepherd mix (Simba) and we took him there for a check up...for a newly adopted pup, he was so comfortable at Rancho Del Oro Vet Hospital! The staff were so friendly with him, and truly allowed him to feel warm, welcome, and safe. That is very important to us. Also...as a truly obsessive dog mother, I call Rancho Del Oro Vet Hospital weekly with questions about any and everything regarding my boys!! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left my dog and I were very comfortable in Dr. Morris' vet. The last vet I went to was absolutely nuts so this was a nice change of pace. I had good experience with this vet. She literally spent 15 minutes at least checking every inch of my 113 lb black lab. She sat on the floor and communicated to us everything she was feeling and seeing in my dog. She didn't try to up sell us anything. My dog is allergic to everything and she suggested Costco food not some high dollar prescribed food. My anxiety attack on what the bill was going to be because of the great service was quickly heeled by the very reasonable bill. Read Less

I've been taking my babies to Dr. Morris since 1997 and I wouldn't take them anywhere else. She is amazing. She goes above and beyond to care for our beloved pets. Her staff is absolutely wonderful. My boxer baby ended up here for the first time after her ear was damaged by another dog at the dog sitters. Dr. Morris did a great job with Nico and explaining things to her worried "mom". We were so happy with her care and her friendly staff that we switched vets immediately and she became Nico's PCP.  After some of the typical boxer lumps were found and surgically removed recently, I had her also clean Nico's teeth and they were so spotless with healthy pink gums and no knarly dog breath. We recommend them to all of our friends and neighbors on Camp Pendleton! We use the base vet for inexpensive medication and vaccinations, but all of our routine and emergency care is brought here. They deserve every penny of our business! We have a dog with Addison's Disease. Dr. Morris is very knowledgeable and tried to keep our dog on the lowest dose of medication -- Which I appreciate after reading up about the disease and the long-term side affects of the drugs. I've always had pets growing up and with my family -- Dr. Morris is the first vet I've met that is wonderful with both people and animals. The office has excellent customer service. I'd never thought I'd post anything so sensitive as a Marine Veteran. This past week my family decided to let our dog Kane go after nearly 12 years of being with us. The staff at Rancho Del Oro were so sincere and genuine with us during my unexpected difficult time of letting Kane go. I didn't think this would be so difficult but Rancho Del Oro staff didn't rush it and were very empathetic to our decision of letting Kane go. I took my lab in for an ear infection and asked about a microchip while we were there. I was told it would be $56.00. They did the chip, and gave me a bill for $64.00, plus the ear infection costs, and told me that all I had to do was call and register. As soon as I got home i called, and the man at HomeAgain told me that the vet should have sent the form in, especially at that price, and I could send it if I wanted to but it would be an additional $14.99. I called the vet. They returned my call the following business day to inform me that they would not be paying the $14.99, that was "completely seperate." I adopted my dog from a rescue group that told me they would reimburse me for up to $20, and they said I shouldn't ever have to pay more than that for a microchip. I paid $64.00 and even though the HomeAgain people say that at that price the vet should send it in and pay the fee, they refuse. I feel like I've been taken advantage of and ripped off. In addition, they originally quoted me $56 and charged me $64, and quoted me $18 for an ear rinse and charged me $21. Does this sound right to you? To say the least, it does not sound right to me. I will not be taking any of my other dogs to this facility, and I highly recommend that you do not take yours either. Read Less
