Every experience I’ve ever had at the cat care clinic has been wonderful. I’ve used 4 of the Drs and the are all great. They take so much time making sure that you understand exactly what is going on and are very gentle and compassionate. The nurses at the front desk and the ones who bring you to your room are so friendly and sweet. They genuinely care about their customers. The kitties and the purrents are well taken care of here. I had never been here before but needed a place that was open, and on my way to work, and AFFORDABLE. This place had very friendly, understanding staff, cleanliness, easy parking, and very peaceful atmosphere for such a procedure. I am sad to say that I had come in to put down my cat of 18 years. My first cat Donna, who was all white with beautiful blue eyes and paws that stayed pink till the day she left me. After calling a few places, this was the most affordable, as some wanted $200. I didn't choose to keep ashes but was told they would be released over ocean. I believe the process was painless for my cat and I had lots of time to be with her in her last moments. Dr. Wexler is very attentive and intelligent, she took the time to explain my cat's diagnosis to me; and spoke to me with clarity and directness, something I really appreciated after dealing with another vet location that left me with no answers with two days of testing and hospitalization. The staff I encountered there were all very friendly, and respectful, and you don't get the sense they are just trying to make a profit. What makes this place so special is the fact that they specialize in cats, so you get really targeted and informative care. I wish I'd know about this place sooner, I would've saved time and money. Dr. Wexler literally wrote the book on cats, and her standard for professionalism and dedication to feline care is true of all of her staff as well. The staff was very accommodating in finding an appointment time for me to bring my cat in for her first check up. Also, our cat was extremely curious about the office and the doctor and her staff very nice about letting her basically roam around the room during her visit even though I'm sure she just wanted to finish up and go home (We had the last appointment of the day). I would give this so called cat clinic a minus star rating if I could. I took my cat here because he was experiencing some sort of allergic reaction. He was put on medication for some temporary relief. He was never put on a more long term plan because we brought him this last time because he was straining to urinate. They took him back after keeping us waiting for over an hour. They discovered he had crystals in his urine. After an over night stay where the doctor recommended he stay in their care and NOT in a facility where he would be monitored throughout the night, we received good news... our cat pulled out his catheter throughout the night and was urinating on his own. He was ready to come home! We picked him up, after a HUGE vet bill and a lot of medication, we were on our way home with our baby. Well a couple hours after we arrived home, the cat began exhibiting strange behavior; stomach contracting, deep meows, and trouble breathing. The clinic was closed so we rushed him to emergency where we were told he should have never been sent home. With this issue, they recommend cats to have a catheter in place for at least 48hrs and to be monitored, as well the medications sent home from the cat clinic were not the proper dose. So we almost lost our cat because of their negligence in dealing with our cat. They called us the next day to check on our cat and we explained what had happened and to speak with the Vet. Well she was conveniently on vacation which leads me to believe she was eager to send the cat home before she left. The office manager would review our case and call us back as we felt we needed some sort of compensation or reversal of payment for almost killing our cat. They never called back. My husband called and they felt they had done nothing wrong so they weren't going to compensate us. I am so deeply disgusted by the way they handled our situation and will NEVER take my cat there again! Be ware! Read Less

Only place i trust with my 4 legged child. The statf at The Cat Care Clinic make me feel safe and secure leaving my cat with them. I feel they are very knowledgeable, and they genuinely care about the cats that come into their care. Now for certain services the price range may seem steep but not much more than other places that offer similar services. And i rest easier knowing my cat gets the best care possible. Most services, especially grooming, i feel are a better deal than most places ive been. They make knowledgeable recommendations and don't just give you the most expensive packages they can push on you. Only what seems necessary, gor the most part anyways.Read Less

Came here a while back to board my girlfriend's cat for a night. In order to be boarded the cat of course had to be updated on their vaccinations, but also have an exam from a vet if it's their first time there. Very reasonable to ensure the health and safety of the other animals, the staff, and of course for liability. Our cat is a rescue that has probably been rehomed as many times as years she's been alive, so we weren't too sure about her medical history.The staff at the front desk were polite, helpful, and on point both in assisting us over the phone and in-person. The doctor and assistant who examined our cat were incredibly skilled and professional. They were also highly empathetic which was appreciated.In getting our cat there she was terrified to go into the  crate as she had been neglected and traumatized by some previous owners. When we picked her up the staff suggested we use a mild sedative the next time to relax her. They used one before we picked her up and charged us for two additional pills to take with us for whenever we needed to take her back.We appreciated all the assistance and advice on being good pet owners. For someone like myself who is new to owning a cat I found that too be invaluable.Highly recommended for the excellent and caring service. Read Less

I have been taking my animals to vets around Orange County for the past 20 years and have never had a more horrible experience. My cat was misdiagnosed and we were sold something that we did not need. We getting a second opinion on both of our animals, another vet could not find or replicate the problem. When contacting the clinic to try and return the product, we were told that it could not be returned because the box had been opened. After informing them that the box was still sealed, they would still not refund us or even give us a credit to the clinic. Horrible service, horrible doctors, and they definitely lost a customer for life. I hope the $130 was worth it to them... Read Less

The Cat Care Clinic is one of the best around. I have brought both of my cats here for boarding, exams, and vaccines and they have always been well taken care of! All of the doctors are awesome as well as the staff. Now that I live in another state, I am hesitant to take my cats to any other place because of the high standard of service I have gotten, I don't think anywhere else could match it! I brought my cat Tubby in for major surgery (leg amputation to remove a cancerous tumor) and the clinic did a wonderful job! The staff was very friendly and answered all of the questions I had about the surgery. Dr. Wexler took excellent care of Tubby both during and after the procedure. She also took the time to keep me updated on everything and ensure that he was as happy and as comfortable as could be post-surgery. After checking out several, I settled on The Cat Care Clinic in Orange run by Dr. Elaine Wexler-Mitchell. Her practice is clean, quiet (so easy on my cats), fully up to date and staffed by the most sincere and knowledgeable people you could hope for. Everyone from the front desk folks to the tech staff and doctors are completely dedicated and a joy to see. As it turned out, one of my cats developed a serious condition? YIKES? but Dr. Wexler-Mitchell pulled him through. Her whole group went the extra mile. Now Boo Boo is back to his healthy ways once again, thanks to Dr. Wexler-Mitchell. I must say that I found the service to be outstanding. All of the staff were great. Amanda must have answered 20 minuets worth of questions before I had even set up a first time appointment. The Doctor... Dr. Starr was so caring and seemed to give you true answers not just what you wanted to hear. Our family cat is fine but I am sure I just formed a lifetime care giver for Yoda... I took my cat to the Cat Care Clinic after my former veterinarian told me there was nothing I could do to treat her skin condition. The doctor there took a biopsy and found a new treatment that cured her problem. The staff was super nice and helpful. They really love cats there. Read Less
