Nohl Ranch Animal Hospital

I have been to this hospital several times, but my first time was based on reviews and I felt the reviews were spot on. The staff and the DR here always treat my pets and myself with care and understanding. I know with time seeing it all it happens that they could become cold to things but not the case here at all. They all have a very caring attitude. I have been to many animal hospitals over the years but this is the last. If you are looking for great service and a personal touch give them a try you wont be disappointed. Read Less

Absolutely without a doubt the BEST animal/vet hospital. The staff are so caring and understanding. Vets are willing to work with your income. Cara and Julieta are just so dear to me and my animals. I have 3 cats, 4 dogs, 2 parakeets and now with by babies, a total of 5 finches :) Read Less

Nohl Ranch Animal Hospital is amazing. Their staff is extremely helpful, courteous and personable. They are always on top of everything and are very attentive to the animals. The parents of Lucky  took him to get checked up, because he has acquire some kind of Irritation on the backside due to a dog bit. To start off Kara the front reception can come off nice but will flip too unprofessional/ customer services sucks, and I even think I heard a ehhh underneath her breath just cause we made her get out of her chair, and who the hell wears flip flaps too work! Ghetto!!!Sure enough they wanted too insert JP drains too remove the pus and spoke of surgery we were looking at almost $600! But little do they know his father is highly educated and in the medical field! Truly top notch and top tier service. They are amazing at what they do, and the hearts and compassion behind their work, is just as amazing. My boy Linc Linc was brought into Nohl Ranch Animal hospital through Mutt Hut Rescue, who I am fostering through. Lincoln was in such bad shape, not only did he not trust anyone ... but I wasn't so sure that I had faith or trust that ANYone could make him better either.I was surely wrong. Between their top notch veterinary care  and the love they spread towards every animal that walks into their door, there was no way he couldn't get better with them. January 29th was the first official day I got to take Linc home to spend the nights with me. Cara, wanted to make the transition easy and told me to go ahead and drop him off in the mornings before work, not only so she could monitor him, but more so that she could just LOVE on him while I was at work. Crazy, I know right?! She's amazing. It was hard enough building my bond with Linc and I truly don't know, without the efforts of Cara and the rest of the staff at Nohl Ranch Animal hospital, if Linc would have come out on the winning side of this battle. I have 2 other dogs of my own, we have since switched vets to Nohl Ranch [it's 25 minutes away from our house too] and I will never trust my loves with anyone else! Read Less

VERY POOR SERVICE! Not to mention KARA (front desk) was completely rude! Here is my story!...I came to the Nohl Ranch Hospital March 21,2017 (Tuesday) to get my puppy checked out because he broke out in patches on his body with hair loss. After getting his skin grafted they told me he was positive for Demodex Mange I got scarred and was trying to find out details on how to handle this..  The staff was completely rude to me when I was concerned about pricing and the type of treatments they were wanting to apply on my 5 month old puppy and wanted to figure out my other options and do some research..  BUT! Kara assumed I just couldn't handle it and attempted to ask to take over my puppy. I couldn't believe my ears that someone would jump to take my dog away from me before actually knowing me and or helping with suggesting on doing my research for the best interest of my pup and me just because they wanted to take my money!I was told I will get a call the next day for the other results on another test they preformed and never heard back till I called the end of the next day. After talking to the doctor about the results I was told I would get another call on prices for the antibiotics and yet heard NOTHING till I finally walked in on Friday asking what happened I haven't heard back and I thought you made it seem this was urgent to get him under treatments.. Kara the front desk was rude and kept rolling her eyes at me and wouldn't even give me the time of day.. I don't understand what her problem was but either way I took my puppy somewhere else and asked for the paperwork..  Kara proceeded to tell me then don't have paperwork for me and she would work on getting them to me before Monday... Well Monday came around and it was already the end of the day and I had another puppy appointment with another vet and even after calling them that morning to remind them I had to ask the other clinic to help get the paperwork.. She still didn't have it and said she would get it to us.. after 3 more calls in one hour my new clinic asked to please tell her the report verbally so they can help my pup out.. I then called Tuesday about noon and said I don't understand what is taking so long and we are trying to get help she said she would get it to me via email and nothing till FINALLY she had sent it later Tuesday....I just can't believe it took her a week to even get back to me that is very poor customer service and yet their prices are over rated! If you want to get better service with people who care and also get better prices then I suggest going to Yorba Lake Pet Clinic In Yorba Linda, CA! Read Less

I find the front desk staff to be so sweet & understanding-you can tell they love the animals. The vets I have seen have been very good and explain things clearly. I had to euthanize my 14 year old dog who was suffering and they were so kind & understanding. They did a wonderful job with my cat who had a very bad abscess & she is doing very well now. I first started going to Nohl Ranch about 3 years ago with my kitty, Tifa. I had a bad experience with a couple of other clinics in the area where I had felt pressured or guilt-tripped into paying for lots of expensive tests to basically torture my already-dying cat to death. Every time I have gone to Nohl Ranch, they have been good to my kitty, and good to me. They have the pet-skills to make my cat feel at ease, and the people skills to realize that when owners are taking their pets to the vets, it is an emotional time, and there are no easy answers- They gave me all the information regarding the options available that I needed to make the best decision for my pet and for my family. Sadly, Tifa recently passed (She lived to be a very old 19 years!), but Nohl Ranch cared about my pet (and about my family too until the very end). I am sorry if others had a bad experience here, but my personal experience was as good as it could be, and I would highly recommend Nohl Ranch. Read Less

The doctor was very rushy , they were not gentle with my cat at all, The took him back to give him a shot & clean his ears & brought my cat back out to me HOLDING HIM BY HIS ARM & NECK he was like dangling from the guys arm & then I looked at his ears & one of them had blood all over it & my kitty did not want to be touched after at all! Very upsetting very! For the sake of you & your loved ones Do not go here . Read Less

I have been going here since 2001. I will never go back! Let me explain. Dr. Nasre wrote a prescription for my dog. Working with the vet we got Skippy itchy skin under control. When the prescription ran out, I learned that he was on leave. Jeanne Rickey, the female vet that is covering for him, required a visit before renewing the prescription. Let the nightmare begin! First, she would not renew the prescription. She wrote one for a new drug. When I tried to fill the prescription I found that it was 10x the cost. I called the Nohl Ranch and was told that I could pick up a prescription for the original drug on Monday. On Monday, I was told that Rickey was not in and it would be Wednesday before I could get it. I called on Thursday and again the vet was not in. It had now been over a week since my dog had his medication. I went in on Saturday and was finally told that she would NOT write the prescription! 10 days without medicine! Had they told me this in the beginning, I could have gone to another vet and my dog would not have suffered for 10 days. I took Skippy to another vet. He is very nice and spent the time to explain things to me. Skippy has his medicine and I have found a new vet.Read Less

I took my cat for his annual shots and a bath and they did an an absolutely Awful job. They had groomed him when we had not asked for him to be groomed . I t looked like some one had practiced on my cat for the first time. His fur was unevenly cut and it was all in knots . The matted fur was really bad. They also over charge they quote you one price and charge you more when you pick up your pet. Their service is terrible and I will never take my cat there ever again. I have read the other reviews and can only come to the conclusion that they were written by the employees who work there. If you love your animal, don't take it here, the Vet has absolutly no compassion for your pet, and I question his credentials -ie: treatment. Are they cheap, yes, I'm sure they charge much less than other Vet Clinics, but in this case, you get what you pay for. Read Less

I ended up taking our dog to Nohl Ranch AH for vaccines because the price was half of what other places were. And then I was surprised that the price included a FREE full exam by the doctor and deworming! When I got there I couldn't believe how friendly the staff was! It was out of my way to go to NRAH but well worth the drive! Read Less
