I took my dog Sammy in to this place because I noticed he was sick. He had bad diarrhea, was vomiting, not eating, and itching a lot (it looked like he had a rash). The tech did the normal check up, weighed him, took a look and asked what was wrong. She left and said the vet would be right in. Waited maybe 10 minutes before the vet and tech returned. I let him know his symptoms and the vet said he wanted to test for giardia and a few other things. Meanwhile the tech took a stool sample and we waited for the results in the room. The results came back positive for giardia. The tech came back in and went over what it was and said that the vet was going to prescribe oral antibiotics. When I went to the front they handed me the medication and gave me another medicine to help harden his stool and one to help clear his mouth out from the parasite. Mind you this is how they described each medicine and how to give it to my dog correctly. They told me to come back to give another stool sample 7 days after his last round of antibiotics.
Second visit I dropped off his stool sample and while waiting for the results I asked for the vet to look at his rash again. I asked if it was because of the giardia to which the vet replied yes, also informing me that the antibiotics would clear clear it up. I asked if there was anything I could do to keep him from itching. He said he could prescribe a spray to help. Went back to the front and the tech said he tested positive again and that they would have to prescribe a different antibiotic. I asked if it was stronger and they said no just that it would work better. I paid and left. Meanwhile I took my boyfriend's dog to a different vet for an unrelated issue. While there, the vet and I got to talking about my dog Sammy. I mentioned that I had to return to the original vet the next day to get him retested (this was 6 days after his last round of the antibiotics). The vet there was confused and told me that with giardia you aren't suppose to test that soon and that it's actually 30 days after the last round of antibiotics. They explained the reason why they don't test before then is because it will come up as a false positive. So I called around and asked 6 different vets in the area and did a lot of research online myself. Everyone I spoke to, and all the literature, confirmed that a retest should be done after 30 days and warned about false positives being an issue.
I was upset and confused so I went back to orange hill and asked to talk to the vet. The lady in front told me he was with a patient which is understandable, so I asked to speak to the manager and she said that was her. I told her what was going on and that I don't understand why he would ask to test so soon when its suppose to be 30 days. She got really short with me and said that I'd need to talk to the vet about this since its "his policy to test this way". I asked when I could talk to him and she said he would call me and took down my number. I waited two weeks and received no call.
I called again and asked to speak to the manager and the woman on the phone said she wasn't available but offered to help me. She was very nice and listened to my concerns and apologized for the trouble. She then noted that on my account it says for the vet to call me. She said he was on lunch and would catch him when he gets back and have him call me. He never called. Call again and even went back in and never saw the vet again. Asked for a refund, the tech there helped me since the manager wouldn't for whatever reason. Left and will never go back. Protect your pets. The vet obviously does not care.
Mind you if you look at other reviews on here and Yelp with lower stars the vet will attack those reviewers and threaten to post billing statements, which I find to be very unprofessional. Not to mention if he has the time to get on Yelp and comment on reviews, why didn't he have the time to call back a concerned customer?

First time going with my puppy. All staff was very friendly, and explained everything in detail from what shots my dogs need and importance of getting her spayed to pricing. Pricing is also very reasonable especially if you get their special puppy plans. I’m very pleased and happy to say they are my puppy’s vet.

Unethical and poor customer service! They were running a special on dental cleanings so I signed up through the Facebook offer. Put in all of my information and a voice mail was left for me the next day to call back and make an appointment. I called back and we were all set to with an appointment. I had to reschedule so they asked me for a deposit, understandable. I get there as requested with my two dogs at 8:30am. I had been there once before years prior for vaccines and they tell me the dental special was for new patients. I wait 37 minutes for them to get a hold of the doctor and he refuses to approve the procedure, because the special was for new patients. The receptionist was rude and told me I should have told them I was not a new patient. Why didn't they ask? Why didn't they advertise it was for new patients? They couldn't refund my deposit because the manager was not in, so now I'm supposed to call back tomorrow when the manager is in. Maybe this is why they need new patients, because they are unethical and have no idea how to treat customers. I took the day off work to be available for my dogs and this doctor only cares about making money not relationships and caring for animals. I hate when places play bait and switch! Horrible service!

Monica is rude and not reliant. Carly is the only one who cares at that place. No one does there job but her. Never have been treated so rude in my life. Everyone told me to leave the place even the guy who used to work there at the front, but the doctor told me to give it another chance so I did. My dog is in much better hands now thank God. Please don't let you dog come here!!!! Cruel service to people and animals!!!!

The staff is so friendly and informative. We found this place through yelp and they are fantastic. This is our first time with cats and our first time at a vet. We brought our little 9 week old kittens after we discovered they had gotten fleas. (From petco when we got their first round of vaccinationa) After nearly a week of flea baths and cleaning struggles, we gave in. We are so happy we did! We were able to make an appointment same day on a Saturday! When we got there the wait was extremely short, the facilitys are clean and the staff was friendly. They were also able to tell us one of our little girls was a little boy!!!We ended up buying the monthly kitten package to take care of their first year of vaccinations, spay and neutering, deworming and office visits, plus a lot of little great extras. Only $35 a month and today's visit was cheaper then quoted, They are totally worth it.

Dr. Rana is very knowledgeable and very personable. You can tell that he really cares about the well being of your pet. All of the staff members are also very nice and professional. I have taken my 3 year old dog and puppy to them for shots and check ups and I do not have a single bad thing to say. My dogs actually like going to the vet even with all the shots. My puppy is a rescue and was spayed very young so Dr. Rana even took the time to keep an eye on her development when she came in for vaccine clinics. I would definitely recommend Orange Hill Vet Hospital to anyone who cares about their pets.

I love Dr. Rana and staff. In the last three months I have had to take in my cat Zoey and my shepherd mix Baron for a variety of issues and the staff and Dr. have been patient and helpful. For my cat I was hesitant to spend the $800 right off the bat for diagnosing her issue so they worked with me and helped me determine the correct course of action. Dr. Rana takes his time and gives detailed explanations of the possible issues and solutions. I also received a follow-up call from the very kind Anya to see how she was doing.My hot mess dog, Baron, had a follow up on some stitches he received and they took me as a walk in. Again, everyone took their time and gave amazing attention to my concerns. Dr. Rana and staff have me as a customer for as long as they continue to be this awesome.

I feel like it's hard to find a knowledgable veterinarian that you trust, but I've found that with Dr. Rana and his entire staff. I've brought my boyfriend's dog and now bring my own dog to this practice as well. My boyfriend's dog has asthma, and Dr. Rana helped us develop a cost-friendly treatment plan to control his asthma symptoms. Plus I like it when he explains the medical terminology/physiology of whatever medical issue we're concerned about - helps to put my mind at ease because I'm not left in the dark, wondering what a diagnosis means short-term/long-term wise. Would recommend this office to anyone.

Right away Dr. Rana explained what was needed, how the procedure works, and gave me an estimate. Dr. Rana was professional, informative and his business is clean and the staff are very nice. Why can't I find human doctors as easily as I found a dr for my pet?? Dr. Rana and staff are easy to work with and aren't afraid to tell you like it is. Their facility is clean and well kept, they even decorate for holidays and once had a bird or something in the giant space attached to the window in one of the rooms. Unfortunately, spiders forced them to relocate the bird.They always treat my chihuahua, bruno, very well and even have neat pet books to read in the waiting room.My dog has pretty bad allergies and he chews on his paws like corn on the cob. I visit dr. Rana and staff about once a month and everything from picking up prescriptions to exams are efficient and easy. Considering i just moved here a few months ago and found them on my first try, i consider myself lucky. Now..... if only it were that easy to find a doctor for myself.

I'm very impressed. My dog was just spayed and took out some baby tooth today. She got home with just a little groggy but it's much better than my past experience from other vets. She even has appetite to eat. This clinic does give provide option for IV during surgery and blood work before surgery. It's not required but they do ask if you want it. I think that's fair as I'm sure some people do not want to spent extra money for the procedure. The doctor was very nice and spent time explaining. When I pick up my dog, the nurse was very careful and make sure I would hold my dog appropriately without hurting her.

Dr. Samuel and his assistant David were the epitome of professionalism as well as compassionate about my dogs situation. They allowed me to view my dog under sedation to draw the same conclusion's they had already come to. I was shocked that they would allow me to see there was no abcess. Other Veterinarian's would have pulled the tooth that needed not to be removed or padded the account with non-existant other health issues. These people are kind and caring professionals that deserve an A plus 5 star rating. I intend to reccomend them to all my dog and cat loving friends. The front desk ladies were also kind to be bombarded with my phone calls and remaining polite and informative. This place ROCKS.

Dr.Barbara Burrows & her asst. John (St.John to us;-) & Xenia (front office angel) provided the best of care for my beloved service/assist 12-yr old German Shepherd, SOPHIE, who had become quite suddenly, severely & mysteriously ill----her 1st illness ever.
Dr.Burrows came highly recommended by our fellow animal-loving/activist friend who was confident from her own experience (& others) that Sophie (ppl too) would be in the best hands there. As much as we wanted to pull out all the stops for our dog, realistically we did not have resources for unfounded testing / false hope, nor did Sophie have the strength to withstand invasive exploratory procedures. Dr.Burrows respected this & never misled us.
From the very start, Dr.B put Sophie's well-being 1st, all the while remaining realistic & keeping us clearly informed at every step. She phoned almost daily for progress reports & to lend support---even on a Holiday when the clinic was closed! Also, her exceptional asst. JOHN extended his home/cell # to call anytime w/?'s or "just to talk." Really....who does that?!!
For the love of Sophie, after several wks of treatment & waiting, it became evident that it was time to relieve her suffering. John shed tears, too. To us, there is no doubt that They Care about their patients, about their work, & about how they affect those of us who place our trust in them (especially when we are most vulnerable).
Anyone who's lost a pet KNOWS how hard this is----yet even harder is the memory that their treatment was based on inferior standards & priorities. In the aftermath of this loss, we have so many wonderful memories of the 12 yrs spent w/ our beautiful, loyal & gentle soul, Sophie -- along w/the peace of knowing that, in the end, she was given every chance.
The words "Thank You" seem too small considering all that Dr.Burrows & staff provided:
Medical expertise,
Clear & honest communication,
Emotional support,
Compassion.
Better to "pay it forward" now by taking time to share this experience with others who are in search of an honorable veterinarian. Hope this info reaches whomever needs it.

I let him know his symptoms and the vet said he wanted to test for giardia and a few other things. Meanwhile the tech took a stool sample and we waited for the results in the room. The results came back positive for giardia. The tech came back in and went over what it was and said that the vet was going to prescribe oral antibiotics. When I went to the front they handed me the medication and gave me another medicine to help harden his stool and one to help clear his mouth out from the parasite. Mind you this is how they described each medicine and how to give it to my dog correctly. They told me to come back to give another stool sample 7 days after his last round of antibiotics.
Second visit I dropped off his stool sample and while waiting for the results I asked for the vet to look at his rash again. I asked if it was because of the giardia to which the vet replied yes, also informing me that the antibiotics would clear clear it up. I asked if there was anything I could do to keep him from itching. He said he could prescribe a spray to help. Went back to the front and the tech said he tested positive again and that they would have to prescribe a different antibiotic. I asked if it was stronger and they said no just that it would work better. I paid and left. Meanwhile I took my boyfriend's dog to a different vet for an unrelated issue. While there, the vet and I got to talking about my dog Sammy. I mentioned that I had to return to the original vet the next day to get him retested (this was 6 days after his last round of the antibiotics). The vet there was confused and told me that with giardia you aren't suppose to test that soon and that it's actually 30 days after the last round of antibiotics. They explained the reason why they don't test before then is because it will come up as a false positive. So I called around and asked 6 different vets in the area and did a lot of research online myself. Everyone I spoke to, and all the literature, confirmed that a retest should be done after 30 days and warned about false positives being an issue.
I was upset and confused so I went back to orange hill and asked to talk to the vet. The lady in front told me he was with a patient which is understandable, so I asked to speak to the manager and she said that was her. I told her what was going on and that I don't understand why he would ask to test so soon when its suppose to be 30 days. She got really short with me and said that I'd need to talk to the vet about this since its "his policy to test this way". I asked when I could talk to him and she said he would call me and took down my number. I waited two weeks and received no call.
I called again and asked to speak to the manager and the woman on the phone said she wasn't available but offered to help me. She was very nice and listened to my concerns and apologized for the trouble. She then noted that on my account it says for the vet to call me. She said he was on lunch and would catch him when he gets back and have him call me. He never called. Call again and even went back in and never saw the vet again. Asked for a refund, the tech there helped me since the manager wouldn't for whatever reason. Left and will never go back. Protect your pets. The vet obviously does not care.
Mind you if you look at other reviews on here and Yelp with lower stars the vet will attack those reviewers and threaten to post billing statements, which I find to be very unprofessional. Not to mention if he has the time to get on Yelp and comment on reviews, why didn't he have the time to call back a concerned customer?

Unethical and poor customer service! They were running a special on dental cleanings so I signed up through the Facebook offer. Put in all of my information and a voice mail was left for me the next day to call back and make an appointment. I called back and we were all set to with an appointment. I had to reschedule so they asked me for a deposit, understandable. I get there as requested with my two dogs at 8:30am. I had been there once before years prior for vaccines and they tell me the dental special was for new patients. I wait 37 minutes for them to get a hold of the doctor and he refuses to approve the procedure, because the special was for new patients. The receptionist was rude and told me I should have told them I was not a new patient. Why didn't they ask? Why didn't they advertise it was for new patients? They couldn't refund my deposit because the manager was not in, so now I'm supposed to call back tomorrow when the manager is in. Maybe this is why they need new patients, because they are unethical and have no idea how to treat customers. I took the day off work to be available for my dogs and this doctor only cares about making money not relationships and caring for animals. I hate when places play bait and switch! Horrible service!

Monica is rude and not reliant. Carly is the only one who cares at that place. No one does there job but her. Never have been treated so rude in my life. The staff is so friendly and informative. We found this place through yelp and they are fantastic. This is our first time with cats and our first time at a vet. We brought our little 9 week old kittens after we discovered they had gotten fleas. (From petco when we got their first round of vaccinationa) After nearly a week of flea baths and cleaning struggles, we gave in. We are so happy we did! We were able to make an appointment same day on a Saturday! When we got there the wait was extremely short, the facilitys are clean and the staff was friendly. They were also able to tell us one of our little girls was a little boy!!!We ended up buying the monthly kitten package to take care of their first year of vaccinations, spay and neutering, deworming and office visits, plus a lot of little great extras. Only $35 a month and today's visit was cheaper then quoted, They are totally worth it.

Dr. Rana is very knowledgeable and very personable. You can tell that he really cares about the well being of your pet. All of the staff members are also very nice and professional. I have taken my 3 year old dog and puppy to them for shots and check ups and I do not have a single bad thing to say. My dogs actually like going to the vet even with all the shots. My puppy is a rescue and was spayed very young so Dr. Rana even took the time to keep an eye on her development when she came in for vaccine clinics. I would definitely recommend Orange Hill Vet Hospital to anyone who cares about their pets.

I love Dr. Rana and staff. In the last three months I have had to take in my cat Zoey and my shepherd mix Baron for a variety of issues and the staff and Dr. have been patient and helpful. For my cat I was hesitant to spend the $800 right off the bat for diagnosing her issue so they worked with me and helped me determine the correct course of action. Dr. Rana takes his time and gives detailed explanations of the possible issues and solutions. I also received a follow-up call from the very kind Anya to see how she was doing.My hot mess dog, Baron, had a follow up on some stitches he received and they took me as a walk in. Again, everyone took their time and gave amazing attention to my concerns. Dr. Rana and staff have me as a customer for as long as they continue to be this awesome.

I feel like it's hard to find a knowledgable veterinarian that you trust, but I've found that with Dr. Rana and his entire staff. I've brought my boyfriend's dog and now bring my own dog to this practice as well. My boyfriend's dog has asthma, and Dr. Rana helped us develop a cost-friendly treatment plan to control his asthma symptoms. Plus I like it when he explains the medical terminology/physiology of whatever medical issue we're concerned about - helps to put my mind at ease because I'm not left in the dark, wondering what a diagnosis means short-term/long-term wise. Would recommend this office to anyone.

Why can't I find human doctors as easily as I found a dr for my pet?? Dr. Rana and staff are easy to work with and aren't afraid to tell you like it is. Their facility is clean and well kept, they even decorate for holidays and once had a bird or something in the giant space attached to the window in one of the rooms. Unfortunately, spiders forced them to relocate the bird.They always treat my chihuahua, bruno, very well and even have neat pet books to read in the waiting room.My dog has pretty bad allergies and he chews on his paws like corn on the cob. I visit dr. Rana and staff about once a month and everything from picking up prescriptions to exams are efficient and easy. Considering i just moved here a few months ago and found them on my first try, i consider myself lucky. Now..... if only it were that easy to find a doctor for myself.

I'm very impressed. My dog was just spayed and took out some baby tooth today. She got home with just a little groggy but it's much better than my past experience from other vets. She even has appetite to eat. This clinic does give provide option for IV during surgery and blood work before surgery. It's not required but they do ask if you want it. I think that's fair as I'm sure some people do not want to spent extra money for the procedure. The doctor was very nice and spent time explaining. When I pick up my dog, the nurse was very careful and make sure I would hold my dog appropriately without hurting her.

Dr. Samuel and his assistant David were the epitome of professionalism as well as compassionate about my dogs situation. They allowed me to view my dog under sedation to draw the same conclusion's they had already come to. I was shocked that they would allow me to see there was no abcess. Other Veterinarian's would have pulled the tooth that needed not to be removed or padded the account with non-existant other health issues. These people are kind and caring professionals that deserve an A plus 5 star rating. I intend to reccomend them to all my dog and cat loving friends. The front desk ladies were also kind to be bombarded with my phone calls and remaining polite and informative. This place ROCKS.

Dr.Barbara Burrows & her asst. John (St.John to us;-) & Xenia (front office angel) provided the best of care for my beloved service/assist 12-yr old German Shepherd, SOPHIE, who had become quite suddenly, severely & mysteriously ill----her 1st illness ever.
Dr.Burrows came highly recommended by our fellow animal-loving/activist friend who was confident from her own experience (& others) that Sophie (ppl too) would be in the best hands there. As much as we wanted to pull out all the stops for our dog, realistically we did not have resources for unfounded testing / false hope, nor did Sophie have the strength to withstand invasive exploratory procedures. Dr.Burrows respected this & never misled us.
From the very start, Dr.B put Sophie's well-being 1st, all the while remaining realistic & keeping us clearly informed at every step. She phoned almost daily for progress reports & to lend support---even on a Holiday when the clinic was closed! Also, her exceptional asst. JOHN extended his home/cell # to call anytime w/?'s or "just to talk." Really....who does that?!!
For the love of Sophie, after several wks of treatment & waiting, it became evident that it was time to relieve her suffering. John shed tears, too. To us, there is no doubt that They Care about their patients, about their work, & about how they affect those of us who place our trust in them (especially when we are most vulnerable).
Anyone who's lost a pet KNOWS how hard this is----yet even harder is the memory that their treatment was based on inferior standards & priorities. In the aftermath of this loss, we have so many wonderful memories of the 12 yrs spent w/ our beautiful, loyal & gentle soul, Sophie -- along w/the peace of knowing that, in the end, she was given every chance.
The words "Thank You" seem too small considering all that Dr.Burrows & staff provided:
Medical expertise,
Clear & honest communication,
Emotional support,
Compassion.
Better to "pay it forward" now by taking time to share this experience with others who are in search of an honorable veterinarian. Hope this info reaches whomever needs it.
