They ripped us off, they’re crooks. I took my dog here on a whim because his regular vet was booked up. My dog had what looked like a soar between the web of his paw and the last time he got that, two years ago, his vet gave him antibiotics and cream for $85. I took him into this vet thinking it would be roughly the same, nope! They gave him the exact same medication but for quadruple the price! $310 dollars! We were in the market for a new vet (we're new to the area), and I took my cat for a wellness exam and vaccine. The reception staff and the assistant that initially saw my cat were very nice, but the actual doctor that saw us was incredibly sterile. She made zero effort to even pretend that she cared about us. She literally only touched my cat's coat once (to check for fleas...not to pet/comfort, even though he was clearly scared), tried to upsell us on additional blood work and extra shots, and seemed irritated that I wasn't willing to immediately go ahead with hundreds of dollars of unnecessary services/tests. People of Orange, CA, be glad that you have decently priced vets. I live in San Diego, where all the hospital emergency vets are still in school and lack knowledge to diagnose your pet. We have spent over $7,000 is vet bills in San Diego when the issue could have been solved with diet. I wish we would have made the trip sooner to Orange, because it could have saved us $7,000. I really don't bring my animal to Orange Veterinary Hospital for treatment. I have another vet that I have gone to for years. I do take my animals to Orange for shot clinic and for boarding. Orange Veterinary Hospital tends to be expensive for treatment.
They do an okay job in terms of boarding and medicating our dog when we are out of town. But almost every time we take her in to board, I can almost count of the fact that we will get a call after dropping her off, and one of the techs will try to up charge us. "Can we schedule an appointment to have her teeth cleaned?" "Would you like to have a bath her?" "She seems to have gained some weight since her last stay, do you want her seen by one of the vets?" I have just hung up from trying to reason with the office manager Sara at Orange Vet. Hospital. My 4 legged family and I have been patients there for 20 yrs but over the years the care has declined and the prices have increased. There have been several issues over the last few years and the most recent one occurred this past weekend. for the Thanksgiving holiday my husband and I went out of town and we brought our very energetic and playful healthy 9 month old lab to board at the hospital. While she was there, her ankle was severely injured. The hospital waited to take xrays till we came back and paid the 600.00 for the xrays and medication to tranquilizer her for 2 weeks.
She was injured there and the concern was the money. It was wrong!!!I am heartbroken that she was hurt and furious that we were charged such an excessive amount of money. I will be filling a lawsuit! and finding a new vet!!! Read Less

1. I was a veterinarian for 5 years and after 2 tours in the military, I decided to leave vet medicine since I could be pulled back into another conflict.2. I was referred to Dr B.Lee from a animal surgeon from Western State University for being strong general practitioner3. Dr Lee performed a hip dysplasia surgery & an elongated soft plate surgery for each of my dogs successfully. Recovery was both difficult but mainly due to the type of dogs I have.4. The high-end practice of Orange Vet Hospital is one that highly encourages testing at every stage (which is a good money maker for the hospital but a thorough road to take). 5. Jenn B's review sounds fishy because parvo testing is : 1) easy to test for 2)makes money for the hospital 3) does not sound like the Dr Lee I know (I opted for 70% of the all the testing she's recommended). 4) Jenn says she found an answer/provider somewhere else and still returned to Dr Lee...what for? To tell her she was wrong? 5) State & medical board requires euthanization formal approval from owners thus proving Jenn or Jenn's family approved of it and even directing a vet to inject the medication into her pet.6. Through my training and experience, there is nothing one can do to please certain clients even when they continue to return unhappy. In the military we call them ungrateful citizens.7. Dr Lee's treatment of my pets and the pets of my colleagues has always been sound and cutting edge. She is more on the pro-active, aggressive side for solving problems. She is an outstanding professional that I highly recommend.Feel free to contact me about any questions with this vet. I am a fan. Read Less

My wife took our dog to Belinda Lee (at Orange Veterinary Hospital) because he had a small rash between his hind legs, and seemed slightly drowsy. Our dog is a chihuahua/terrier mix, approximately 3 years old and weighs 14 lbs. Dr. Lee administered three injections, including a powerful antibiotic (Convenia) which remains in the system for 2 months. She ordered complete blood tests and a urinalysis. She also prescribed 5 different drugs, including Prednisolone, a steroid that reduces the body's ability to fight infection. I believe the majority of these treatments were unnecessary, and some might be contraindicated when stacked together. I believe my dog was over-medicated and wrongly treated by Dr. Lee. Read Less

Our male cat is doing just fine with his new diet and he won't need surgery (unlike the vets in San Diego told us). So glad Orange Vet Hospital saved us $6,000. Read Less

"Can we schedule an appointment to have her teeth cleaned?" "Would you like to have a bath her?" "She seems to have gained some weight since her last stay, do you want her seen by one of the vets?" Five years ago, we adopted a little (2 pound) puppy (Abby) and the next day she became quite ill. We took her to Orange Veterinary Hospital to be checked out and they did a marvelous job of bringing through her illness. Abby is still our pride and joy and whenever she needs veterinary help, we bring her back to the folks who saved her life five years ago. And yes, they are a bit pricey, but the service they provide for our loved ones is well worth the cost. Read Less

I have just hung up from trying to reason with the office manager Sara at Orange Vet.
Read Less

This clinic is expensive compared to where I used to take my dogs. The only reason I continue to go to this clinic is because of DR. Moore. He is the kind of Doctor that truly cares about the animals. He has taken time to explain stuff to me, about my dogs medical conditions, so I would understand. I followed him to this location and will continue to follow him if he ever leaves. Over all I recommend DR Moore.Read Less

Lee. Read Less
