Took our chihuaha in for some tests told us our bill was going to be around $400, pretty pricey for a chihuaha to begin with, then pick her up and our bill turns into almost $600, waited almost an hour to see the doctor to find out what is wrong with our baby, when there were only TWO customers there, including my mother and i, then we get home and our dog is limping and cant even put pressure on her front right paw, she was walking perfectly fine when we dropped her off in the morning, so if you are looking for a vet that wont nickle and dime you, i strongly advise not going here.Read Less

This by far has been the absolute best veterinarian experience I have had in my life. I took my cat scooter here with some pretty bad injuries from an attack by another cat,  and their level of attention, detail and care was unmatched. I was also pleasantly surprised by the low cost of treatment, and the ongoing care was wonderful. Dr. Doti is amazing, and you can tell that she genuinely cares for the animals as do all of the staff.  I highly recommend Villa animal hospital to anyone. Read Less

Do NOT bring your pet to this animal hospital!!! The vet diagnosed my dog with cancer in her kidneys and said she had less than 3 months to live.  I had to bring my dog back in the other day because she was no longer urinating (this was 7 months after she was diagnosed).  The vet checked her out and said that it was the cancer and she would need to be put down.  Unhappy with this answer I decided to get a second opinion because at this point I had nothing to lose and didn't want to lose my dog of 10 years.  I went to the second animal hospital and they did the same ultrasound on her and quickly stated that it isn't cancer, in fact she never had cancer!  Nope, she has kidney stones which are easily diagnosed and treatable with proper diet and medication.  So not only have I been purchasing medication for my pet for 7 months that wasn't helping her at ALL but this vet was advising me to put my dog down!!! I was referred to Villa Animal Hospital by Animal Hospital in Orange. I brought in my sick 1 year old golden retriever at 4:30pm because he was having terrible diarrhea. The staff stayed after closing to get him stable and did not rush me out. They actually were also able to diagnose a digestive problem that no other vet had! I highly recommend Villa Animal Hospital because they take their time and really care about every animal that comes in. I would trust them for anything from emergency to a yearly check up. Read Less

I have brought pets here for 12 years. I never used the vaccination clinic, so I can't say anything about that. Both of the doctors have been professional and thorough. When it has come to the passing of my angels, I couldn't ask for a more kind and compassionate staff. I had been to both Pet Hospital and Chapman Veterinary and was not happy with the service. I went to Dr Doty in excess of 7 year spent thousands if $$ there and for what..my mist recent experience after spending over 1300.00 Dr Doty told me my cat had lymphoma and is FIP and wanted to do surgery since her diagnosis I was given was fatal I was planning to put my 15 month old kitty down but my heart said prob not true as usual..so I got a second opinion at cats only clinic in orange Dr wexler looked at all Tessa test results from villa animal hospital Dr dotys place she said this is NOT a sick cat there is NOHING wrong with her she is perfectly fine being furious at that money grubber Dr Doty I was relieved to know my baby will live this is not the first time Doty did this to me she is a rip off and a liar. My dog has been with Dr. Doty since 2007.I have not seen Dr. Doty in the office in last 2-3 years.Dr. Campbell took over the clinic and the price for the service is rising much over other clinics.My dog need the Bordetella shot every 6 months and Dr. Campbell required the health examination before the shot.It would costs Examination $46 + Bordetella $11= $57. IT IS TOO MUCH for the shot.I called two other places and got quoted less than half the price that I was quoted through them.They don't need the Examination for the shot and their shot is valid for 12 months instead of 6 months. Shop around, the prices are too high and it's not that great of service. The Dr.s and staff are really nice though. I called two other places and got quoted half the price that I was quoted through them. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Love this pet hospital. I took a feral cat there that I rescued from a business building off of Fourth Street in Santa Ana to get fixed. Thought she was a boy (Orange Kitty) and they informed me that she was a girl! Too late to change his...I mean her name. Good thing I named her a co-ed name of Leo. Then I adopted a pound puppy (Falkor) from the Santa Ana pound next to "the block of orange". Take him there for his regular grooming. I get more excited to get his hair done vs my own hair done. Something that I love about this pet hospital is that I feel like I am in a small town when I go to them. I get greeted...I mean my pets get greeted like they are family. It is so sweet. Today I felt especially drawn to write a review because I saw a couple outside the hospital hugging each other crying. The scene told the story. It broke my heart as I was picking my pup up from a grooming. See, a couple of years ago we had to put our family dog down. Her name was Laces, she loved to chew shoe laces. It was one of the most emotional days of my life. Having to put an end to a life. She was in pain. Dr. Doty and Staff were incredibly kind and loving. I still remember her taking her last breath and having that hospital by our side. Shortly after we received a very kind card with sympathy from the entire staff.  My heart ached for this couple and the lose of their pup. Read Less

Fantastic diagnostician and good Vet! I am impressed. Took my 12 y/o boy to Dr Doty after I felt my Vet had missed a diagnosis and didn't treat my dog. Our dog had a seizure (his first) and had an abnormal lab test indicating a possible infection that he wasn't treated for. So a friend gave me Dr Doty's name and I tried her today for a 2nd opinion. She treated him right away with antibiotics and gave vitamins for a possible mineral deficiency. Of course we're not sure that this will solve his problem at his age, but she cares and readily displayed that she is there for the animal instead of the money. So very refreshing to see and feel that my boy is cared for and I'll certainly return.  . Read Less

I've been bringing my pets (dogs & cats) here for over 10 years.  I have been to other vets and Dr. Doty is head and shoulders above the rest!  She offers creative and less expensive solutions and goes the extra mile for my pets.  Everyone here is friendly and sincerely cares for every pet that comes through their front door.  There are many vets who are closer to where I live, but I would drive into the next county to bring my beloved pets to Dr. Doty-but thank goodness I don't have to!Through the good times and the sad times Dr. Doty has been there for me and my pets.  If you're looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Vet who really cares about your pet, then look no further than Dr. Doty!
