First and LAST time going there! took my cat there for the first time to get spayed, dropped her off at 6 am, and was told the surgeon might not be able to make it due to an emergency. Totally understandable, however, they told me they would try and get another surgeon to come in, but if they couldn't they would call me asap so that I could go back for my cat. They said if they didn't call me then I had nothing to worry about and I would just have to pick her up at 3. When we went to get her at 3 pm we were told by a staff member that the procedure wasn't done, and they didn't even bother to call us! When we asked why they didn't tell us earlier in the day the girl at the front said "I just got here, idk". So unprofessional! My cat is my baby so it really made me angry that she was Kept there for so long, without eating since the night before. I do not recommend it. Yes it is cheap, but for an extra $50 I will be taking her to a cat clinic in Ventura. Also, didn't look like a very clean place and just had a funky smell. Read Less

This place exceeded my expectations! I called and left a voicemail for them to call me back. They called back within an hour and said there was one spot left for my kitten to get neutered that Monday. You have to arrive between 6-7:30am to drop off your pet. I dropped my kitten off around 7:10am, filled out paperwork and was out in 10 minutes. Lady at the front was very nice and welcoming(I appreciate that because I was nervous to leave him) . They told me to pick him up between 3-4:30 pm that same day. Also, bring cash they have a donation spot where you can throw in some dollars $$. It is a non profit after all. I don't live In Oxnard so I spent the day running errands and got back to the clinic around 2:45pm. They are closed for lunch from 2-3. There was a young lady from the office that was picking up trash out front. Great to know that they work on keeping the grounds clean.They opened right at 3pm. I was the third person in line of about maybe 5 people there already. I checked in at the front with a different lady then the morning. She was very friendly, informed me about how the chip works and she asked me to have a seat. I waited about 15 minutes and I was called in the back where they went over how his surgery went and instructions on post op. The total for a neauter, nail trim and chip was $65. You can't beat that price! Amazing customer service. It has now been 5 days and my cat is healing just fine, no issues at all. So, I want to thank everyone who took such great care of Jax Thank You! I started going to Mercy Crusade 10 years ago when I first moved to Ventura.I received vouchers from Span Thrift shop when I was unable to afford spaying for my female Labrador that paid every cent. I have had my 14 year old Siamese cat's teeth cleaned and afor half the cost of fees charged by other vets in the area.I get all my dogs and cats vaccinations there and have had nothing but excellent results.The doctors and assistants are professional and polite and explaining in detail your questions and or after surgery instructions. Prices are REALLY good. Only $10/shot(for most shots). I took my cat to get spayed, and they charged a pretty good price. Only down side is that the wait times are around 45 min to an hour to take a look at your pet. Other than that, really great place. I'd recommend them to friends and family. Read Less

I took my 5 month, shy Akita puppy Mamba today for a medical check-up. Akitas are known to be quite wary of strangers, so my boy definitely did not like them all too much. In fact, it took about 10 minutes for him to even let them go near him. Despite the busy day, (Saturday's are their busiest after all) the doctor was incredibly patient with him. He was adamant about not traumatizing my big boy on his first check up. He brought out toys, walked slowly towards him, talked to him gently and even taught me that a dog should not be in between the owner and a new person because that can trigger their protection mode which Akitas are well known for. He was kind and made sure Mamba was comfortable. He did not rush through the exam despite the struggle of even trying to get close to Mamba. They did a great job on neutering my boxer and he recovered very quickly. Everyone was very friendly but it was very busy and loud. The cost seemed a little bit more than I thought it was supposed to be at over $600 and I think they do it for less if the people don't seem like they have money. So it's like they make up prices based on how much they think you can afford. Anyway I hope I helped the charitable cases they have. Read Less

This clinic is extremely busy all day everyday--but they still take the time and take care of their clients and explain in depth everything that's going on with their pet! I was very pleased with the customer service and knowledge that was provided as well as the pricing. So lucky to have such a reasonably priced Wellness Clinic so close by. The staff is very friendly, they are efficient when giving vaccinations and we have had wonderful experiences when visiting the vet. This is the only place I've taken my Oreo from when we got her as a puppy. :) Read Less

I been her twice, once for shots for my house cat, and once to get my feral backyard kitten neutered. Their prices are very affordable. I got my cat 3 shots and it was $30. They fix and vaccinate and give flea medicine to feral cats. I didn't have to pay anything. If you have a feral cat you can go to cats cradle in Ventura and get a trap for free. This place is great, a lot cheaper than any other vet places in town. They've done shots for my babies (2 kittens Lilo and Stitch) and cut their nails. I'm taking them in two weeks to get spayed. Shots are $10 and nail trims are $10. No bad at all. It can get very packed, with lots of animals and people in the waiting area. A lot of barking and loud noises. The overall service is great. My kittens were in and out in no time. Although they did get fleas the first time they got their shots but it's not their fault. I bathed my babies and used dawn soap and the fleas were gone. They were too little for flea medicine. They accept debit and credit cards. Again, cheapest vet services in town!!! Read Less

I really am growing to like this vet clinic more and more. About 5 years ago we had a bad experience here which ended in us losing one of our pets... I won't go into too much detail but when I adopted by two pups I knew I would take them there for vaccines but I was wary of any other care, especially neuter surgery since one had an undescended testicle meaning a more complex surgery. Needless to say their neuter surgeries went perfectly, they gave us the perfect amount of pain medication and all 3 incisions healed great! Today I met with Dr Breeder for a check up for both dogs and I'm just so impressed with his patience and compassion. He truly loves animals and I will continue bringing my "stinkers" here.To note: the vaccine clinics are a hell house, so don't expect to be greeted with a rose. Neuter surgery went fine. But a couple days after the surgery I happened to be adjusting his collar because his cone was bothering him and I noticed all the contact information on my dogs tag had been scratched away purposely. I had just had the tag made at Petsmart literally the day before and my dog had been in his kennel since the surgery. I think it is a really strange and disturbing thing to discover and I can't think of any logical reason why they would have done that. Read Less

Do not go here....the second I walked in to pick up my smart and we'll behaved dog, I could hear my dog screaming and crying in pain. I asked the rude and ignorant secretary how long the dog I could hear was crying, and she said, "for a while, I've stopped caring at this point." And she started laughing with the other disgustingly rude secretary. I said I needed to see my dog immediately (because I know for a 100% fact that was my baby boy in there crying his lungs out), she said , "no I'm not done exaplinig this." So I try to listen to her and she holds up a brochure and starts telling me more about the chip I already was told about, and I was reduced to tears and had to beg to see my dog who was screaming in the background.....then the "tech" (who was the rudest and most unprofessional of them all, doubt she's even a real tech) brought me in and says I can't see him until she's done telling me about the meds for him, and I tell her I can't concentrate with my baby screaming and crying on the other side of the door and she needs to let me see him so I can concentrate....and she actually told me no and gave me a really rude look. So i tried to listen to her and i could hear my dog exaxtly on the other side of the door screaming and i told her its not possible for me to not see MY DOG WHO WAS 100% READY TO GO HOME, and she continued to say "no you cant see him until you hear about the medication" and then i told her that was absolutly ridiculous and she yelles at me staing that shell have to get "her boss then," and i said good hurry and get him!!! she also lied and said it wasnt him crying over and over, but it was him. Then the vet came.....who was absolutely wonderful brought me immediately to my son and that's all that had to be done.....instead I had to deal with these nasty uneducated, and rude women, who didn't care at all about my dog in fear and pain for who knows how long, or about his owner (me) who was in fear and had to cry and beg in front of a bunch of people to see my dog......I will never go back here and I am telling everyone I meet about these rancid people here.Read Less

I recommend everyone to go to this facility for spayding and neutering of their cat. I have a female cat and had her spayed last week. I dropped her off in the early morning and than picked her up in the afternoon it was such an easy process , the people working their made it that way. My cat recovered very quickly thanks to the great people who operated on her . I am so greatful to all of them. Before I had my cat spayed she was urinating everywhere marking her terrritory. I didn't wait long. The service they provided was very professional. It doesn't cost much. The office staff is very nice. The only bad thing was that the vet tech tried to give me a speech about my dog because a ladies small dog snapped on my dog( my dog did nothing before or after the little dog went crazy.) while I was at the front desk. The lady was sitting right in front of the counter/door. I proceed to tell him my dog is not aggressive and he needed to tell the lady what he was telling me because she had the aggressive dog and shouldn't be sitting where she sat if she couldn't control her dog. He told me he was sorry and that it was only because if my dog would have done something he would have hurt the little dog because I have a big dog. I told him if my dog is being attacked and protects his self that is not his fault. Other then that they are always great. Read Less
