It’s taken me about two months to get around to leaving this review because it was too hard to put into words, but I need to let people know how wonderful Dr. Marteney and his receptionist (who’s name I’m blanking on right now, I’m so sorry... you were amazing at keeping me calm while waiting!) are. Unfortunately there was nothing that could have been done to save my boy, but Dr. Marteney was quick to come to my emergency call and diagnosed Cisco within minutes of arriving. The process of putting him down was incredibly fast and peaceful (all things considered). I am beyond grateful for him and his staff for making a horrific day as easy as possible.... I’ll definitely be calling him out again, just hopefully not for the same reason for a very long time!!!

I have been a client of Dr Marteney for nearly 40 years at this point - from back when I lived in Sylmar. He will have my business as long as he is willing to give a shot or treat a colic. He is excellent at diagnosis, doesn't waste your money, and keeps your horse healthy. He is a caring vet with incredible skills. We are lucky to have him in the Antelope Valley.

When I was endurance racing 1980-85,most knowledgeable, and honest we me about what my horses needed. Jump forward 2016, after all the years,still the same friendly, straight forward, compassionate care for my horses. When I ask for the absolute, brutal honest answers for horses with unfortunately compromised health, he will give them to me. Very fair prices and always correct with his diagnoses for my horses. Highly recommend!

Super nice guy! He was very personable, and not in a rush to diagnose and leave. He took his time, and didn't try to push unnessasary treatments, or tests. I would definatley recommend him!

It’s taken me about two months to get around to leaving this review because it was too hard to put into words, but I need to let people know how wonderful Dr. Marteney and his receptionist (who’s name I’m blanking on right now, I’m so sorry... you were amazing at keeping me calm while waiting!) are. Unfortunately there was nothing that could have been done to save my boy, but Dr. Marteney was quick to come to my emergency call and diagnosed Cisco within minutes of arriving. I have been a client of Dr Marteney for nearly 40 years at this point - from back when I lived in Sylmar. He will have my business as long as he is willing to give a shot or treat a colic. He is excellent at diagnosis, doesn't waste your money, and keeps your horse healthy. He is a caring vet with incredible skills. We are lucky to have him in the Antelope Valley.
