We went here during an emergency when Joey our little fur ball had a cluster seizure. We were helped by Monica during check-in and it was a breeze. Dra. Yoffee attended us and Wally assisted her during our time. Dra. Yoffee was very kind and understanding. She took her time explaining to us the current situation and made sure everything was clear. She was honest with the prognosis and even helped us find a possible neurologist to help us. The following morning, we were assisted by a young white male who gave us more information. He was kind and polite. I truly appreciate that Dra. Yoffee personally called our attending veterinarian to inform him about Joey’s prognosis and treatment received. They called our vet’s front desk and emailed them Joey’s test results. This was helpful for us as our vet knew what was going on and managed to continue the treatment during his stay. Sadly, Joey passed away 10 hours after check-out. This is not their fault, it was just his time to go. I am very thankful that Joey’s last hours here on Earth was dignified and humane. He was alert, able and can recognize us. I only hope staffs will wear name tags so I can know them and properly address them. I’d like to thank everyone who helped us during this stormy and awfully sad time in our lives. Dra. Yoffee, Monica, Wally and young white male, thank you very much. It was a relief knowing our little sunshine was treated kindly and with love. We will always remember their outstanding service and excellent care. *** Easy access from El Camino with ample parking. Their location is close to Target and Walmart. The office was clean and organized. They even have water for all. The back area looks clean too. Everybody that helped us on that fateful day was professional, friendly and compassionate. Read Less

Grateful for vet techs Mike, Waldo, dvm Robert oneil and Monica receptionist. Brought two dogs in Thursday night for injuries and we were taken care of promptly. The vet and techs had excellent understanding of our dogs needs and gently handled them individually, provided us with medications, discharge instructions, and today we received a follow up email! The charges were incredibly affordable than our previous ER hospital. The new facility is immaculate, has water, tea/ coffee, and reading materials in the comfortable waiting room. Hopefully we won't have to visit soon, but we will utilize United veterinary hospital again and highly recommend them to our colleagues and friends. Read Less

Let me start with a simple statement. With one problem we went through five veterinarian hospitals, including few emergency facilities... and almost lost our handsome Siberian boy Alex. We were very lucky to finally find and meet one incredible doctor, Rachel Boltz. She is the BEST VETERINARIAN SPECIALIST WE EVER MET. Let me say the following, if your cat ever need an emergency attention or few other doctors failed properly diagnose the problem and this is the date when doctor Rachel Boltz is on duty, don't waste a second - go to her.I will not name other incompetent doctors, but will say this. Never choose a hospitals, but always choose the right doctor. And one more point. She is not just a great emergency doctor, she is very compassionate and truly cares about her patients, will always help with valuable advice and guidance. I can only wish some other doctors, including human doctors would demonstrate the same level of love and dedication to their work as doctor Rachel Boltz. If you want to learn more about this incredible doctor, go ahead and read some review for her under the Adobe Animal Hospital where she worked before. From the bottom of our hearts - thank you Rachel Boltz for saving our beautiful and handsome IW SGC Jyntico Alex of SiberianMeow! This place is just terrible. My pet bunny was a bit sick last night. She stopped eating so it was her GI system issue. We have another bunny at home who has had a similar issue before so we knew we just needed to give her the same medication, so we took her there. We did a check-in and the receptionist said it would be a 45-min wait so we waited. In 20 mins, she comes out and says the doctor thinks it's better for us to go to another ER in Cambell without even looking at her. The bogus reason is he thinks any GI issue is so serious that the animal has to stay over night (this is so not the case i have experienced in the past. My other bunny has been to an ER twice for the same reason and it was just a simple treatment each time) and they close around 8:30 so they can't take her in. We said we would prefer to wait there instead of going to another ER which is 30 mins away. They insisted we leave so then we went to the Cambell location but then the location was temporarily closed. We then had to rush to another location in San Jose, which this Mountain View ER initially advised us to not go to because they close at 8:30am the next morning too. We had no other option so we went to the San Jose location. When we did a check-in, the nurse took her in for vital checks. In 15 mins, the doctor came out all worried. She started questioning us whether our bunny had other issues than not eating. We said no and told her she just needed some meds for her GI problem. Then the doctor said our bunny had just broken her back getting out of her carrier. Can you believe it? What kind of craziness is this? My bunny is a 6 month-old tiny dwarf bunny, who is always scared. I couldn't believe that they weren't careful enough that she ended up breaking her back. The San Jose location is terrible to not be careful handling our bunny but I am so upset with this Mountain View ER about turning down to see our bunny and sending us off to another hospital with some bogus reason. If they had been really seriously worried about my bunny being that sick, they should have checked on her first before rejecting us. It would have been a simple problem to take care of but they turned this into our nightmare. We don't know if our bunny will be okay. For sure, she will never be able to walk or run again. I just hope she will survive. I read some other reviews about this ER and it looks like a pattern that this ER puts off animals to other hospitals for whatever reason at a given time. They get high grating from the patients that they choose to be nice with but you have to think twice if you want to take your pet to this ER. You might not be a chosen one. Read Less

Our very small Yorkshire terrier travelled with us to California over Christmas and was taken ill during our stay. Our initial contact with this hospital was by phone and the person who took our call listened to our concerns and then suggested we bring Stanley in immediately. When we arrived at the clinic, we barely walked in the door when we were greeted and Stanley was given a quick cursory exam prior to our even filling out the necessary paperwork. This act, along with the phone conversation, instilled immediate confidence in our choice of clinic. From then on, everyone we came in contact with was fabulous. They admitted Stanley immediately and began his treatment. This was on Christmas Eve so you can imagine our relief to find them open and able to take care of him so quickly. With a dog as small as Stanley, one cannot afford to lose any time prior to treatment. During Stanley's stay, we were told to call anytime and to feel free to visit him if we so desired. The doctor who treated Stanley was very knowledgeable and clearly loved her vocation. When she learned that we were to travel to Yosemite on December 26 and were concerned about leaving Stanley in a kennel, she offered to have him stay at the clinic until we got back. This was incredibly helpful as then we knew if Stanley started to deteriorate again, he would have immediate access to medical care. We have the highest regard for everyone we came in contact with and cannot recommend this clinic too highly. Finally, we found the pricing for an emergency vet clinic to be very reasonable.Read Less

The staff at South Peninsula Veterinary are truly God's angels. They treat animals as though each belonged to them. They are caring, loving, experienced professionals. We have had to visit them 4 or 5 times over the years and we are always thankful for the perfect care they have given our dogs. If the dog's treatment involved spending the night we can call and receive an update on the dog's condition and progress at any time during the night or day. We are thankful they are there and thankful for the perfect care they gave our dog just recently. THANK YOU angels !!!Read Less
