Worst Vet. My wife took our English Bull Terrier. As soon as the Vet doctor saw our dog he profiled my dog as an aggressive breed and a one owner dog. He didn't want to touch our dog because apparently it would bite his face. My dog is not aggressive nor she was being aggressive, my dog is friendly ,indoor dog, and I have 3 children in my home. He refused to do a physical check he wanted to sedate her and do expensive exams. My dog was not being aggressive lol, nor the Vet even try to have us put a muzzle if he was really concern. He wanted to go straight to sedation. Don't take your pet here because they are afraid to touch dogs that have an (aggressive profile) apparently. This Vet is on the wrong profession.

This place is horrible and I say this with a very heavy heart. We took our dog to this place who had been hit by a car and bleeding, we were crying hysterically and begged them to see her. T he receptionist said "no" the Dr. Is busy, she was get cold and could of cared less . We know the staff is a reflection of the Dr. We have seen this lousy Dr before but he was the closest. We then went to another vet in Lakewood who received her with open arms, he was also busy..our dog died but it was comfort in knowing a vet cared. Garfield is heartless. I guess his love for dogs is in the past...retire!!

The girls up front are friendly and nice but Adriana is the best. She explains very well and is very friendly unlike the doctor there. Dr. Ashiq is a straight up a**hole and talks over you. He also makes assumptions and stays on those assumptions even thought you have explained to him several times what you've done, what you've have seen, what happened, and how your pet is at home. No matter what you explain to him he'll just laugh and say "no..no..no..no". I've been here three times to give this place a chance but the doctor ruins it. He's a selfish douche who thinks he's great. He told me my cat has anemia and that he couldn't see her because he had an doctor appointment. So I went to another clinic and they said she wasn't anemic and just had a UTI. My cat is well ever since. I recommend going to After hours Animal hospital they got good prices and you can do payments. Everyone at After hours animal hours are caring and friendly. Garfield animal hospital would be great if there was another doctor that would replace Dr. Ashiq.

Monday was my first time coming to Garfield animal hospital I came here because my regular vet did not carry a flea medication I wanted. I had my consultation but also asked a few other questions regarding my dogs shedding and frito feet (stinky paw) now I had just taken her into my old vet for that particular reason, she checked her out looked at her nails and fur told me it might be she's not absorbing her food properly, and sent us home. Now that I've had her re checked at Garfield they gave me a supplement to squirt in her food for a month to see if she is absorbing nutrients and also asked for a stool sample. Then next day I took her sample in and within 5 hours the dr called me back and let me know my dog not only had tape worm but also ringworm. Well I tell you what!! I just found me a new vet. FYI excessive shedding can be caused by ringworm.

I love this place.. I've been coming here for 2 years. Thee only place I take my precious chihuahua Terrier Darla to. The staff there is great, sweet and understanding. They greet you and show they care for our four legged loves. The doctor is awesome, I took in Darla for vaccinations and skin issues. He very kindly and patiently explained her diagnosis to me sense this is my first dog he also put up with all of my questions and answered them in a very professional and understanding way.

I have been coming to this vet for more than 19 years and honestly I have never had an issue with him. The vet is very informative and really cares for your pet. I have brought every pet, both cats and dogs, I've had to this vet. They are all very helpful and friendly. There was even a time when my cat was close to death and he was able to heal her back to health. It's been more than 10 years since that incident and she is still very active and strong. My pets are part of the family and honestly I couldn't find anyone better to trust their lives with. I will continue bringing all my pets in the years to come. One recommendation for anyone that comes to this vet is be prepared to hear the truth about your pet's health. He will tell you everything you need to know and it is sometimes not what you want to hear but he will do everything he can to make your pet become and stay healthy. Great vet and great staff.

Dr. Ashiq is very kind and sweet with a big heart, but like everyone he has his moments who doesn't. But, I trust him wholeheartedly. He took care of the most important companion I ever had until his death. Now I have a new puppy and of course I'm right back. Bertha and Adriana, what can I say, they are family and I trust them just as much. Enough to board my baby. They are as reasonable as they can be. I have never felt they just care about money as I have with so many in the past. I can't say enough about these people.

Dr. Ashiq is very kind and sweet with a big heart, but like everyone he has his moments who doesn't. But, I trust him wholeheartedly. He's not rude he's just really passionate and honest veterinarian. Don't expect him to feel sympathy for clients who wait to bring their pets until they are really sick, you would t do that for your children. Staff if very helpful and knowledgeable. If you care about your pets like your children then bring them to be treated by Dr Ashiq.

So I take my Bengal to see the doctor this morning for a 930 appointment. I wait 45 minutes after my appointment time only to be told that he doesn't have time to evaluate my dog for a cough and sneeze because he has to many other patients to see on a busy Saturday. I replied that I didn't understand. I had made an appointment to see him and told the staff at that time and when I checked in what the issue was. Why would you go to this doctor. How can a doctor turn away a sick animal because he has other patients to see. He is only worried about his time value of money moving more people through more quickly rather than taking the time to evaluate an animal who is sick which is his obligation as a veterinarian. I was so embarrassed for him and his unprofessional behavior. I would never let this man touch my dog now knowing his character. Remember Character speaks volumes!

I can never repay Dr. Ashiq for saving my dog's life. He was quick to diagnose her and was able to take her in for surgery right away. What started out as fainting spells turned into something more serious. She had a cancerous tumor on her spleen that grew into a size of a tennis ball. If it wasn't for his quick response, my Sweet Pea would still not be here today. Although we are still waiting to see if the cancer has spread, I am able to enjoy more time with her. For now (8 months after her surgery), she is happy and that's more than what I can ask for! Thank you Dr. Ashiq and staff for all that you do!!!

I have been taking all my babies to Dr. Ashiq for three years now and he has always been very informative. I have taken all five of my babies to Garfield Animal Hospital and I won't go anywhere else! I live in Arcadia which is like a 30-40 minutes drive without traffic but this office has far exceed the other offices in my local area that I keep coming back! Dr. Ashiq will spend his time with you in the room explaining to you why your dog/cat is acting a certain way or give you a few tips. I came in one day right before they closed since one of my babies wasn't feeling well; he was able to see her, tell me she was okay and spent time talking to me about my other dogs and asking how they were! I have noticed no matter how many people are waiting he will take the time to address any issues to you and take his time with your dog and that is why I have trusted him to handle all my dogs. The staff here are really nice too, Adriana and Patty are gentle when they are handling my dogs and they will explain any medication. They will even add flavors (chicken, lamb, etc) to the medications at no extra charge for you! Their prices are very reasonable !!!

My family and I have been coming to Garfield Animal Hospital for more than 10 years now. They have taken care of our 8 dogs + 4 cats + numerous strays that we've brought in for help over the years.The clinic is sparse but very clean, the staff always friendly and the doctor, well, he's one of a kind. Doctor Ashiq is a no frills kinda guy with lots of experience and he won't beat around the bush with your pet's diagnosis and treatment. He might appear gruff at times but he's a solid, papa smurf type of fellow who won't gouge you on fees and he'll always give you the full rundown before doing anything. I recommend this establishment to anyone who's looking for pet medical care that's affordable and undertaken by an awesome doctor and staff.Two thumbs up!

Worst Vet. My wife took our English Bull Terrier. As soon as the Vet doctor saw our dog he profiled my dog as an aggressive breed and a one owner dog. He didn't want to touch our dog because apparently it would bite his face. My dog is not aggressive nor she was being aggressive, my dog is friendly ,indoor dog, and I have 3 children in my home. He refused to do a physical check he wanted to sedate her and do expensive exams. My dog was not being aggressive lol, nor the Vet even try to have us put a muzzle if he was really concern. He wanted to go straight to sedation. Don't take your pet here because they are afraid to touch dogs that have an (aggressive profile) apparently. This Vet is on the wrong profession.

This place is horrible and I say this with a very heavy heart. We took our dog to this place who had been hit by a car and bleeding, we were crying hysterically and begged them to see her. T he receptionist said "no" the Dr. Is busy, she was get cold and could of cared less . We know the staff is a reflection of the Dr. We have seen this lousy Dr before but he was the closest. We then went to another vet in Lakewood who received her with open arms, he was also busy..our dog died but it was comfort in knowing a vet cared. Garfield is heartless. I guess his love for dogs is in the past...retire!!

The girls up front are friendly and nice but Adriana is the best. She explains very well and is very friendly unlike the doctor there. Dr. Ashiq is a straight up a**hole and talks over you. He also makes assumptions and stays on those assumptions even thought you have explained to him several times what you've done, what you've have seen, what happened, and how your pet is at home. No matter what you explain to him he'll just laugh and say "no..no..no..no". I've been here three times to give this place a chance but the doctor ruins it. He's a selfish douche who thinks he's great. He told me my cat has anemia and that he couldn't see her because he had an doctor appointment. So I went to another clinic and they said she wasn't anemic and just had a UTI. My cat is well ever since. I recommend going to After hours Animal hospital they got good prices and you can do payments. Everyone at After hours animal hours are caring and friendly. Garfield animal hospital would be great if there was another doctor that would replace Dr. Ashiq.

Monday was my first time coming to Garfield animal hospital I came here because my regular vet did not carry a flea medication I wanted. I had my consultation but also asked a few other questions regarding my dogs shedding and frito feet (stinky paw) now I had just taken her into my old vet for that particular reason, she checked her out looked at her nails and fur told me it might be she's not absorbing her food properly, and sent us home. Now that I've had her re checked at Garfield they gave me a supplement to squirt in her food for a month to see if she is absorbing nutrients and also asked for a stool sample. Then next day I took her sample in and within 5 hours the dr called me back and let me know my dog not only had tape worm but also ringworm. Well I tell you what!! I just found me a new vet. FYI excessive shedding can be caused by ringworm.

I love this place.. I've been coming here for 2 years. Thee only place I take my precious chihuahua Terrier Darla to. The staff there is great, sweet and understanding. They greet you and show they care for our four legged loves. The doctor is awesome, I took in Darla for vaccinations and skin issues. He very kindly and patiently explained her diagnosis to me sense this is my first dog he also put up with all of my questions and answered them in a very professional and understanding way.

I have been coming to this vet for more than 19 years and honestly I have never had an issue with him. The vet is very informative and really cares for your pet. I have brought every pet, both cats and dogs, I've had to this vet. They are all very helpful and friendly. There was even a time when my cat was close to death and he was able to heal her back to health. It's been more than 10 years since that incident and she is still very active and strong. My pets are part of the family and honestly I couldn't find anyone better to trust their lives with. I will continue bringing all my pets in the years to come. One recommendation for anyone that comes to this vet is be prepared to hear the truth about your pet's health. He will tell you everything you need to know and it is sometimes not what you want to hear but he will do everything he can to make your pet become and stay healthy. Great vet and great staff.

I have been bringing my baby here for 8 plus years. They were always straight forward and reasonable. Dr. Ashiq is very kind and sweet with a big heart, but like everyone he has his moments who doesn't. But, I trust him wholeheartedly. He took care of the most important companion I ever had until his death. Now I have a new puppy and of course I'm right back. Bertha and Adriana, what can I say, they are family and I trust them just as much. Enough to board my baby. They are as reasonable as they can be. I have never felt they just care about money as I have with so many in the past. I can't say enough about these people.

Dr. Ashiq is very kind and sweet with a big heart, but like everyone he has his moments who doesn't. But, I trust him wholeheartedly. He took care of the most important companion I ever had until his death. Now I have a new puppy and of course I'm right back. He's not rude he's just really passionate and honest veterinarian. Don't expect him to feel sympathy for clients who wait to bring their pets until they are really sick, you would t do that for your children. Staff if very helpful and knowledgeable. If you care about your pets like your children then bring them to be treated by Dr Ashiq.

So I take my Bengal to see the doctor this morning for a 930 appointment. I wait 45 minutes after my appointment time only to be told that he doesn't have time to evaluate my dog for a cough and sneeze because he has to many other patients to see on a busy Saturday. I replied that I didn't understand. I had made an appointment to see him and told the staff at that time and when I checked in what the issue was. Why would you go to this doctor. How can a doctor turn away a sick animal because he has other patients to see. He is only worried about his time value of money moving more people through more quickly rather than taking the time to evaluate an animal who is sick which is his obligation as a veterinarian. I was so embarrassed for him and his unprofessional behavior. I would never let this man touch my dog now knowing his character. Remember Character speaks volumes!

I can never repay Dr. Ashiq for saving my dog's life. He was quick to diagnose her and was able to take her in for surgery right away. What started out as fainting spells turned into something more serious. She had a cancerous tumor on her spleen that grew into a size of a tennis ball. If it wasn't for his quick response, my Sweet Pea would still not be here today. Although we are still waiting to see if the cancer has spread, I am able to enjoy more time with her. For now (8 months after her surgery), she is happy and that's more than what I can ask for! Thank you Dr. Ashiq and staff for all that you do!!!

I have been taking all my babies to Dr. Ashiq for three years now and he has always been very informative. I have taken all five of my babies to Garfield Animal Hospital and I won't go anywhere else! I live in Arcadia which is like a 30-40 minutes drive without traffic but this office has far exceed the other offices in my local area that I keep coming back! Dr. Ashiq will spend his time with you in the room explaining to you why your dog/cat is acting a certain way or give you a few tips. I came in one day right before they closed since one of my babies wasn't feeling well; he was able to see her, tell me she was okay and spent time talking to me about my other dogs and asking how they were! I have noticed no matter how many people are waiting he will take the time to address any issues to you and take his time with your dog and that is why I have trusted him to handle all my dogs. The staff here are really nice too, Adriana and Patty are gentle when they are handling my dogs and they will explain any medication. They will even add flavors (chicken, lamb, etc) to the medications at no extra charge for you! Their prices are very reasonable !!!

My family and I have been coming to Garfield Animal Hospital for more than 10 years now. They have taken care of our 8 dogs + 4 cats + numerous strays that we've brought in for help over the years.The clinic is sparse but very clean, the staff always friendly and the doctor, well, he's one of a kind. Doctor Ashiq is a no frills kinda guy with lots of experience and he won't beat around the bush with your pet's diagnosis and treatment. He might appear gruff at times but he's a solid, papa smurf type of fellow who won't gouge you on fees and he'll always give you the full rundown before doing anything. I recommend this establishment to anyone who's looking for pet medical care that's affordable and undertaken by an awesome doctor and staff.Two thumbs up!
