This evening (October 14, 2016) at approximately 7:30 pm, I attempted to administer subcutaneous fluids to my Yorkshire terrier, Kimba, as directed by TLC Animal Hospital in South Pasadena. I made 5 unsuccessful attempts, so I contacted TLC, but was advised there were no appointments available until Monday. TLC diagnosed my dog with chronic kidney failure on Sunday, October 9, 2016 and she remained in their care for three days. On Wednesday, October 12, 2016, I was advised that she had to have subcutaneous treatments daily. Prior to me taking her home, a very nice technician gave me a quick demonstration on how it was suppose to be done. I was trying to take it all in as my head was spinning in disbelief, because I had never had to do this before. On Thursday, I was unsuccessful in getting the needle inserted, so I went to TLC and Jesus administers the fluid for $13. On Friday, October 14, 2016, my husband and I could not get the needle properly inserted. We were distraught, so I called around and Animal-AM Emergency Clinic of Pasadena told me to bring her in. I asked what the cost would be, so I could obtain the funds and was advised, so long as I had the products, it would be free of charge. OMG! I would've paid anything, but I was so impressed with that response. I rushed my dehydrated Kimba to their facility and was greeted by a young asian male, who was so kind and gentle with my Kimba! I can't thank you enough. I do not write reviews, but this was such a wonderful act of kindness, I felt compelled to say thank you, I really appreciated your kindness. I was so worried about my pet not being properly hydrated, because I was incapable of doing what I was instructed to do. Kimba is a member of my family and watching her suffer from dehydration, because I was incapable of inserting that fluid made me feel absolutely helpless! I cannot thank you enough. You truly were my hero this evening. If your facility ever needs volunteers for anything, please do not hesitate to ask, so long as its not inserting needles!:)
