Both of my dogs have been going here for about two years now . My dog was hit by a car and taken to the vca pet hospital in Santa Rosa, she had both hind paws degloved from the accedent. I brought her to Adobe for her bandages to be changed witch are going to be done daily. They tried to charge me for an examination witch is a chumped up charge!!! Not to mention over 200 .oo dollars just to change the bandages . Over priced and not good with my dogs . I took my other dog in on Halloween and I. Was Charged over 300 For maybe a 30 second examination of my dog . this place will take your money and don't care about your dog it's obvious cash is King at this vet. By the way I got her bandages changed at a different place for a fraction of the cost of Adobe! This place doesn't deserve 1 star. Read Less

I regret to write a negative review about Adobe Animal Hospital as it is a new, beautiful facility and a convenient place to bring your pets. Additionally, I have never used yelp to post a negative review considering not every experience can be a great one. I can not speak to the other veterinarian at this hospital, however, my experience with Dr. Dekleva yesterday was enough for me to never go back and to want others to know. The staff were friendly, however, my interaction with Dr. Dekleva left me feeling shamed and scrutinized for the tests and procedures that I opted out of.  My dog is 15 years old and it is clear she is coming to the end of her life. From my perspective the risk and expense of extensive testing and procedures does not outweigh the benefit to her at this time.  That being said, it is my priority to keep her in overall good health and to ensure her quality of life for the time she has left.  During our short exam, Dr Dekleva made multiple sarcastic remarks, about how concerning it was that I opted out of certain tests and preventive treatments such as teeth cleaning.  His remark was "I guess my teeth would look that bad if I only brushed them every two years too."  My dog had her teeth cleaned two years ago, but the risks of sedation for a dog her age seems to outweigh the benefits considering she has no difficulty eating and shows no signs of problems with her teeth. There were other sarcastic remarks and judgmental comments in response to tests I declined which made it clear how he felt about me as a pet owner.  My 13 year old daughter was with me and commented as we walked out the door that she didn't like how he treated me and she wished he knew how important our dog is to us and how well we take care of her.  Enough said. We are so grateful for Adobe! Our pup had some serious stuff going on, and our regular vet couldn't get him in for almost a week, we called adobe and they got him in within 15 minutes! Come to find out our pup had a foxtail stuck in his throat, because of Adobe's sense of urgency, he was back to normal and feeling better in no time! We are going to continue bringing our puppy to adobe for everything! Not to mention, the facility is state of the art and very clean! We started going to Adobe Animal Hospital last year when we got a new puppy and had just moved to the area, and selected this vet based on the online reviews from multiple sites. We could not be happier! The vets and staff are great, wonderful with animals, and really seem to care. They take our concerns seriously and never try to up-sell us on services or treatments we don't need. They also explain every treatment or procedure clearly, and why it's needed. No mystery charges ever end up on the bill. My favorite part is that they call to follow up with your pet's progress a few days after every visit, and if you forget to check in with them, they will call you again! I was looking for a new vet this year and brought my senior dog in after a bad episode with arthritis. I saw the vet,(blanking on his name) he was great with Charlie. He knew right away what was going on and only ran basic blood work. The whole office was warm and kind. Not once did they suggest outrageous tests or scans.They called that afternoon and the next morning to see how Charlie was feeling on his meds. Recently I had to bring him in for what I thought was a stroke. I was worried for my old friend. The entire office was kind and fit us right in. They identified his symptoms quickly and again did not ask to perform a million tests.  Laura, Molly and Dr. Stemwedel were caring and warm. There were others too that met me at the door to help guide my old friend into the office and they helped me get him back in the car after giving him fluids and meds.The office is clean and a good size. Very impressed with Adobe Animal Hospital. We are 1st time patients and will be lifelong patients!  My sweet little Lily went in for her annual and a rabies shot.  Once home, she had some reactions to the shot. My husband called them,  and they said to bring her back. They stayed open past closing to have us bring Lily in. They were calming and very informative about why this could have happened. In January, our 16 year old cat got so ill that he couldn't eat and drink anymore and I tried to get somebody to come to our house to euthanize him. The in-home pet euthanasia service was booked to the end of the week and I knew that he would last that long without suffering. I chose Adobe Animal Hospital mainly because it's the closest vet to our house, but I also saw that the Yelp reviews had improved drastically since Dr. Stemwedel took over the place.Considering that it was the worst day in our lives (I already cried on the phone making the appointment), our experience with this vet was nothing short of outstanding! We got so much compassion from every single person who works there; we weren't rushed and they were gentle and calm during the hole process. I consider myself and my cat lucky to have found Dr. Stemwedel and her staff. Typically my cat hates going to the vet and gets very stressed out but at Adobe they have no-stress strategies and procedures for keeping a cat calm and comfortable and my cat remained completely at ease throughout the visit. Dr. Stemwedel and her assistant kept me informed about why they were doing each procedure during the visit. Before proceeding with something for which there was a charge, they reviewed the charge with me and made sure I was okay with the cost before proceeding. When the results of the tests were ready the next day, Dr. Stemwedel called me herself to explain, in detail, each result and discussed every aspect of all options for treatment. Adobe also has individualized web pages for each patient and they respond quickly to phone calls and e-mails. My cat and dog were patients of Dr Visco for several years. After going through some tough experiences with both pets, I felt a tight bond with the vet staff, and it took me a while to get used to the new staff.  Dr Stemwedel has won me over. Dr Ray Visco and his friendly staff are the best!!! I have 3 dogs and 3 cats that they take the best possible care of. I trust Dr. Visco's advise and it always feels like he truly cares about each pet and their well being!
