Artaurus Equine Clinic

Petaluma, California
General Info
Veterinary care at Artaurus Equine Clinic in Petaluma monitors animals through their sensory responses which include attention direction, comfort leaning, and tension duration. A significant number of California pet owners identify this rhythm. The beginning of interactions commonly occurs through nonverbal signals. Before attempting any hands-on examination the team observes tail position along with spatial hesitation and micro-responses. Each room's lighting and scent parameters can be adjusted to prevent startle reflex activation. The scheduling of appointments follows the unique timeline set by each pet's internal regulatory system. Orthopedic evaluations initiate some practitioners' assessments while others start with basic observational scans based on detected tension patterns. Artaurus Equine Clinic delivers an array of services including diagnostic evaluations, laboratory tests, disease treatments, orthopedic solutions, dermatological interventions, and oral healthcare for multiple species. Examinations might bypass certain steps or alter their sequence when indicators such as lip licking paw withdrawal and shifting gaze appear. The evaluation of pain indicators relies on posture and breath instead of vocalization which proves crucial for stoic breeds and prey-species animals. The process of re-acclimation is promoted following treatment. Families receive information about lingering behavioral responses and secondary stress indicators along with guidance on when decompression needs to take precedence over immediate activities. Home care plans are tailored based on each pet's sensory threshold instead of solely focusing on physical recovery benchmarks. Artaurus Equine Clinic delivers a unique veterinary service to Californian families that transcends clinical approaches by engaging in a conversational manner while maintaining quiet interactions deeply attuned to animal signals of comfort confusion and calm.

I've had Dr Amber out to my training barn on just a few occasions. I really like that she will take the time to really explain things. After being in the horse industry for decades (giving away my age, yikes!) I'm probably going to ask more questions then some folks. She takes the time to explain and really listens. Also, it is a pleasure interacting with the office. Always friendly and courteous. We are fortunate to have Dr Amber in our area! Read Less

Artaurus has been handling my horses for the past two years - Carrie, one of the vets, has done on-site at our stable in Fairfax, and she is a wonderful, well-rounded vet who does both traditional and non-traditional practice (including chiropractic, and newer treatment methods for soundness issues).  At the clinic itself, I have used Robert for x-ray diagnosis of our racehorse's inflammatory issues, and he is incredibly sweet, patient, and knowledgable.  The staff at the clinic are always super sweet, accomodating, and all around great to work with.  A very down to earth, trustworthy group who know what they're doing.Five stars all the way.
