I have not found a better Veterinary Hospital in Sonoma County. Dr. Rupiper and his staff genuinely care about the animals they see. In my case there are 60 birds and My 16 year old Labrador. When most veterinarians want to see their patients they want them on a table to make it easier for them. Dr. Rupiper gets down on the floor for my Lab and she loves it. When it comes to my birds nobody does a better job of handling them and making them feel comfortable. I own Birds of a Feather Rescue and require my adoptive families to use East Petaluma Animal Hospital for the veterinary needs. If they move they have to use a Vet approved by Dr. Rupiper. Read Less

I've taken my orange tabby here for 5 years, and he's gotten nothing but the best care and advice, which was especially important when he was diagnosed with a rare adrenal gland tumor. I've been taking my golden retriever to Dr.Rupiper for the past 5 years and am very happy with this vet. Dr.Rupiper is very kind, patient and knowledgeable. You can tell he really loves the animals he cares for and always has a great attitude with them. I appreciate the time he spends in his visit; I never feel rushed or that I am asking dumb questions. He is thorough and his staff always follows up with a phone call the next day.I pretty much always know I'm going to spend a decent amount of money each time I go in. I have taken all my animals to EPAH for over 20 years. Dr. Dave, his associates and office staff are top notch as is the care that all my dogs and cats have received. I have always trusted the suggestions and courses of action that were advised by these amazing people. My experience with EPAH started when my dog was going to have to have hip surgery with a different vet . He "dropped the ball" and my daughter took me to EPAH. I was told my dog wasn't going to get her hip surgery because a terminal cancer was found. What a devastating thing it would have been to have that surgery and never recover from it and not know why. My Bella is a 6 & 1/2 yr old Pit Bull that amazes people with her sweet personality. The staff at EPAH recognized that in her too and it was heartwarming to see the way they treated her. Bella is still here with me (6 months later) and doing really good, Everyone at EPAH are always sypathetic and patient whenever I call, even when I'm in a panic.
