awful place and staff. Arrived at 4pm because something was terribly wrong with my dog and they wouldnt even take a look since they were closing at 5. Was told to make an appt following week. Did not care if he would survive the weekend or not. Went to Family Pet next block and they did emergency surgery and took care of our dog like family. We took our four healthy boxer puppies in for dew claws and tail removal. They are 3 days old. Amazingly one of them died while under his care. Not to mention they ignored our 11 appointment and didn't see the puppies till about 12:30. Strange circumstances around the death of our healthy puppy with no legitimate explanation from them whatsoever. Don't take your dogs to this guy!!!Unknowledgeable staff as well.ALSO, they cut all 3 Puppies tails 3 different lengths! My cat Muffin had an emergency and they saw her right away. I didn't have to wait at all . The vet is very experienced and was able to diagnose muffin and treat her right away: The staff was very knowledgeable and kind and were able to help me out with the total cost of her visit by giving me a treatment for free and not charging me for the emergency exam fee. I just had the best experience with Dr. Lynde. I was up all night with my poor little bassett hound at the ER, and in the morning she still wasn't better. Brought her to Dr. Lynde and could not have been more pleased. She put my mind totally at ease (no easy feat as I am 7 months pregnant), didn't do any unnecessary testing and was warm, personable and thorough. I trust her completely with our girl. My regular vet was out on house calls all day and my baby girl split her nail all the way back. They were able to get me in - and treated me and my little girl like we were the most important patients of the day. They had to knock her out and remove the entire nail. They were so kind with my scared little girl and so loving to her that she went with them willingly. The tech who woke her up even sang to her while she was coming out of the sedative. Read Less

The office staff are amazing. They are caring, kind and very professional. Dr. Paul has helped our little dog when no other vet has been able to. He truly cares about animals. I had Jack to two other vets in my hometown; one I did not see at any time during our visit and the other did not seem to be interested. I was told by another Veterinarian that my daughters dog , the love of her life had a mass possibly cancer and needed an expensive surgery she was very upset, I told her not to worry we were going to take Valentine to a familiar face someone I knew could figure things out we were going to Dr Mickelson . I used to work with Dr Mickelson a few years ago and he was a top notch vet to me back then, my daughter got comfort knowing we were making the trip to Phelan, CA to Country Animal Care were Dr Mickelson now practices, so along with xrays discs and records we made our trip. Surgery was not needed and there was no mass just a spleen , and phenmonia which phenmonia is not great but it beats cancer anyday, his staff was great on top of being friendly. When my dog recently passed, I called this vet about handling his remains. Since it was 4:15pm I knew all the local vets would be closing soon.  This office told me that I needed to be there before 4:30, even though they didn't close till 5, because they clean up and put everything away at that time. If I came after 4:30 they wouldn't take him. She told me I could wrap him up and keep him till the next day! Since my dog was around 70lbs, I needed to wait for my husband to help and he wouldn't be home till 4:45.  Needless to say, I'll never go there again! Another local vet offered to stay late so we could bring him in. Compassion goes a long way. Read Less

This place is SO caring, had to take my dog TJ, he was old and very sick, had to put him to sleep, I was so overwhelmed, but all the employees made me feel at ease, and comforted me all the way to the end, I even received a sympathy card.   They have reasonable prices and the DR. Dr. Mickelson is always generous with his time and spends as much time as he needs to diagnose and treat my pets.
