My bluetick hound has had ear issues ever since I rescued her 4 years ago I've been to several vets one gave her apoquel for allergies which she really did not need plus when her ears got bad they would just give a ear cleaning and some over priced meds. Finally my dog has someone who can help her and doesn't break the bank. My dog is not a easy cooperative dog she's very loud and the staff always helps and takes her in for me. I will never go back to any other vet other than this office they are great!

My dogs had eye injuries that were misdiagnosed elsewhere. One dog had to have his eye removed and the other dog healed. I am so grateful that this vet office was able to help my dogs. They were very nice and caring. The place is clean and fairly quiet due to it's location. They see big and small animals. I would recommend this office to my friends.

First time here (I usually go to the other vet in Phelan) and I will definitely be back. My jack russell was attacked by coyote and a friend said I should take her to Desert Mountain Vet because my other vet has been shady lately and way overcharging me. I am very happy with the staff here. Everyone as very kind and took great care of my fur baby. I will mostly likely be changing vets for all my dogs and bring them here from now on :)

My nearly 7 year old Staffy had an obvious bladder infection. We treated at home for 6 days with penicillin with no change. Because my Staffy is my baby I called every vet within 20 miles and checked Yelp, FB and Google reviews. When I called Desert Mountain they were wonderful and answered all of my questions so I made the appointment. Because I had had her shots done there in August, I didn't have paperwork to fill out. The waiting room was super clean, like smell the disinfectant clean. We were about 30 minutes early for the appointment so we did have a small wait, but we were still in the room and seen before the actual appointment time. Dr. Loveless and his staff were absolutely awesome. Dr. Loveless listened to my concerns, got on the floor with my baby and gave her love while checking her over. He didn't chastise me for home treating, instead he took the time to get to know me and my husband and our experience with dogs. The techs were absolutely great, they had the x-ray and blood drawn in about 15 minutes. Because they couldn't get a urine sample (her bladder was bone dry) they explained different techniques to get a sample and made sure I had the vial needed for the sample. I brought the sample back a few hours later and had all of her results back the next day. Even with the stress of having a sick dog, my experience with Dr. Loveless and his staff was great. I will continue going to Desert Mountain because of the great care they provide and the affordability and up front pricing. For everything they did it didn't break the bank.

I am leaving this here as a warning to anyone considering using DESERT MOUNTAIN VETto treat their animal.
I brought my dog there to have her cherry eye corrected. The surgery cost $600 ($200 over the initial estimate)and accomplished nothing. They did not offer me a cone to prevent her from rubbing her eye after surgery. I ended up going to purchase one myself after bringing her home. When my mother insisted that she talk to them about the failed surgery they took several days to get back to her and then repeatedly lied to her. Insisting I refused a cone and missed a follow up appointment that was never even mentioned to me or my mother even though she called and asked them if we should bring her back in. They then threatened to sue me for slander if I posted reviews of them online. However, they have no grounds upon which to sue me because I am speaking the absolute truth. I strongly suggest thinking twice before going to this vet especially for this type of surgery. It is very obvious that the vet either did not want to or did not know how to do the most effective type of surgery to fix her eye. It would have been much more honest of them to tell me that and let me take her somewhere else which I now cannot afford to do because I am a grad student with very little money which they knew.

I came in with an emergency for my dog. The office was empty but they said they only take appointments. I asked where else I could go in town since I'm new to the area and they told me they don't know of a vet that will take you anywhere without an appointment. Couldn't even recommend an ER vet to me. We went down to Family Pet Clinic of Phelan and they took us in right away no questions asked. If you don't have an appointment don't waste your time and def don't go here for emergencies!!

Nicest staff ever!! They are all so warm, kind, patient and loving. I feel like my dogs are in fantastic hands and are being cared for the way they should be. The part I think I like the most is that Dr. Loveless has an immeasurable bedside manner that is so hard to find these days. He never makes me feel rushed. He answers my millions of questions with such patience and of course knowledge. He just really takes his time and helps educate me about the health of my dogs. I am so thankful for this group of wonderfully loving people.

It gives me great pleasure to write a review for Desert Mountain Veterinary. I lead a small.Rescue effort, Paws of Life German Shepherd Rescue and have had the honor of vetting 30+.GSDs and several mixed.breeds at their facility.. Be it routine initial vet checks, Puppy or Senior Wellness exams or critical care follow up care, ALL.dogs are treated with the utmost of concern, compassion and professionalism. We have, most recently, had two beautiful dogs, Mamma Mia (she birthed 13 puppies) and Maverick, both young dogs. 2 years old, face life threatening maladies and DMV was there beside us, holding their respective paws each step of their recovery. Dr. Loveless, April, Ann. Rebecca, Dawn and Abby, thank you for your excellent service every time. Of the now 170 dogs we have saved in 15 months, I wish we would have known you earlier. As it stands, now that we do, we look.forward to each visit ahead.

I was very pleased with this Vet. I had use the one in Phelan before and was not so happy with their exorbitant prices that they charge. Our cat was having urinary problems. He has had them in the past and the vet did a very thorough examination. He offered to do a urine analysis, but also said we can also just treat the symptoms and that would probably be the fix as well. I like that he was not trying to gouge me for every dollar that he could get. It was a $45 office visit, $29 for the antibiotic that he prescribed for our cat. He suggested a prescription cat food. I asked if they had any samples so we can get him started on it while they ordered our bag. He had a damage bag that was 5.5 pounds he said we could just have that back since he could not sell it because it was damaged. I offered to pay for the bag, and the vet said no, just take it and get him started on it. Staff was very friendly and polite, explained everything very thoroughly. They seemed very knowledgeable. I will definitely use them again!

I run an Equine Rescue and had a severe colic case for my first experience with Desert Mountain Veterinary. Not only were we able to save the horse, the care and compassion shown by both Dr. Dispenza and Dr Loveless was unparalelled. The prices are very fair, and the quality of veterinary medicine practiced... superb! I highly recommend them! Excellent vets, as well as, amazing individuals.

I will continue going to Desert Mountain because of the great care they provide and the affordability and up front pricing. For everything they did it didn't break the bank.

I am leaving this here as a warning to anyone considering using DESERT MOUNTAIN VETto treat their animal.
I brought my dog there to have her cherry eye corrected. The surgery cost $600 ($200 over the initial estimate)and accomplished nothing. They did not offer me a cone to prevent her from rubbing her eye after surgery. I ended up going to purchase one myself after bringing her home. When my mother insisted that she talk to them about the failed surgery they took several days to get back to her and then repeatedly lied to her. Insisting I refused a cone and missed a follow up appointment that was never even mentioned to me or my mother even though she called and asked them if we should bring her back in. They then threatened to sue me for slander if I posted reviews of them online. However, they have no grounds upon which to sue me because I am speaking the absolute truth. I strongly suggest thinking twice before going to this vet especially for this type of surgery. It is very obvious that the vet either did not want to or did not know how to do the most effective type of surgery to fix her eye. It would have been much more honest of them to tell me that and let me take her somewhere else which I now cannot afford to do because I am a grad student with very little money which they knew.

I came in with an emergency for my dog. The office was empty but they said they only take appointments. I asked where else I could go in town since I'm new to the area and they told me they don't know of a vet that will take you anywhere without an appointment. Couldn't even recommend an ER vet to me. We went down to Family Pet Clinic of Phelan and they took us in right away no questions asked. If you don't have an appointment don't waste your time and def don't go here for emergencies!!

Nicest staff ever!! They are all so warm, kind, patient and loving. I feel like my dogs are in fantastic hands and are being cared for the way they should be. The part I think I like the most is that Dr. Loveless has an immeasurable bedside manner that is so hard to find these days. He never makes me feel rushed. He answers my millions of questions with such patience and of course knowledge. He just really takes his time and helps educate me about the health of my dogs. I am so thankful for this group of wonderfully loving people.

It gives me great pleasure to write a review for Desert Mountain Veterinary. I lead a small.Rescue effort, Paws of Life German Shepherd Rescue and have had the honor of vetting 30+.GSDs and several mixed.breeds at their facility.. Be it routine initial vet checks, Puppy or Senior Wellness exams or critical care follow up care, ALL.dogs are treated with the utmost of concern, compassion and professionalism. We have, most recently, had two beautiful dogs, Mamma Mia (she birthed 13 puppies) and Maverick, both young dogs. 2 years old, face life threatening maladies and DMV was there beside us, holding their respective paws each step of their recovery. Dr. Loveless, April, Ann. Rebecca, Dawn and Abby, thank you for your excellent service every time. Of the now 170 dogs we have saved in 15 months, I wish we would have known you earlier. As it stands, now that we do, we look.forward to each visit ahead.

I was very pleased with this Vet. I had use the one in Phelan before and was not so happy with their exorbitant prices that they charge. Our cat was having urinary problems. He has had them in the past and the vet did a very thorough examination. He offered to do a urine analysis, but also said we can also just treat the symptoms and that would probably be the fix as well. I like that he was not trying to gouge me for every dollar that he could get. It was a $45 office visit, $29 for the antibiotic that he prescribed for our cat. He suggested a prescription cat food. I asked if they had any samples so we can get him started on it while they ordered our bag. He had a damage bag that was 5.5 pounds he said we could just have that back since he could not sell it because it was damaged. I offered to pay for the bag, and the vet said no, just take it and get him started on it. Staff was very friendly and polite, explained everything very thoroughly. They seemed very knowledgeable. I will definitely use them again!

I run an Equine Rescue and had a severe colic case for my first experience with Desert Mountain Veterinary. Not only were we able to save the horse, the care and compassion shown by both Dr. Dispenza and Dr Loveless was unparalelled. The prices are very fair, and the quality of veterinary medicine practiced... superb! I highly recommend them! Excellent vets, as well as, amazing individuals.
