I took my dog their on 4 occasions. I noticed something was wrong with him, he wasnt acting like he normally does. After the 1st visit, I immediately liked them, very friendly, very likable, didnt charge me and arm & a leg for a visit. All our other experiences with other local Vets were awful, btw. So next few months follow, again, my dog is acting odd, not his usual self. Take him back. My wife takes him, she feels the same as I do, nice people, fair pricing, close to home. Win-Win. Her visit, they discover he has low blood cell count, which was odd from a blood test they took. Gave us antibiotics and steroids. Over time he improved, finished the meds, he was doing great. 5 weeks ago, he vomits, and vomits, and vomits. Out of the blue, nothing he's ever done before. So back to Yolinda AH. Same doctor, takes blood test and xray, would not give him anti-nausea meds unless he looked for issue in blood or blockage in xray. Sounded logical to me? Shows me, that he sees no blockage, his blood cell count is better than it was, and he was dehydrated from all the vomiting. Prognosis, give him bland food for a week, set up an appt for 2 weeks July 5th and will check his blood cell count just to be sure. So he slowly returns back to normal, all good? July 2nd, immediately starts vomiting again. Take him back to Yolinda AH, same Vet tells us he has food allergy or intolerance. Checks his blood cell count, says its 41, hes doing great, no worries? More anti-nausea meds. Last night, we rush him to Yorba Animal Hospital. Vet discovers he has mass inside of him, says he developed diabetes, pancreatitus, and his blood cell count is 16. He put him on oxygen, IV, catheter... he is so far gone, if he could survive surgery, his life expectancy would be poor if at best, we have the choice of $3000.00 surgery with a "poor at best" way of life for him, or Euthanize. My wife came home to find him in our bathroom, in the dark, preparing to die. His last day on this earth was of suffering, alone, in the dark. At 12:10am this morning he was Euthanized. This whole ordeal could of been prevented. We were and always have been proactive in his care, yet were sold on dietary issues, which had NOTHING TO DO with his health. His name is Gunther, he would of been 8 this October.Read Less
