I have been looking for a new vet and I think I found it! I got home from work to a very sick pup and called them two hours before they closed and they still let me bring her in! The doctor explained all my options and his suggestions thoroughly. There was such an improvement even the next morning! Great place and worth the drive from Sacramento!

The staff is so helpful. I came in with 2 cat carriers and they rushed to the door to open it for me. They even helped me carry them out in the pouring rain! The doctor is kind and compassionate. She doesn’t push unnecessary tests or lab work. Love this place,

I was looking for a place to take my dog where they treat him like family, and I've found our new veterinary home! Dr. Barbara and the staff at Placerville Veterinary Clinic are so caring and compassionate! They really care about my pup! Dr. Barbara discussed all my options when my dog wasn't feeling well. She gave me free samples and helped me keep the cost of his treatment as low as possible. They are kind, caring and compassionate and have good prices too! We love Placerville Veterinary Clinic!

When our dog was just a puppy and we didn't have a vet yet he got into some lawn food and seed. I called one place and there wasn't a vet on duty, so I called Placerville Vet Clinic next. They were so amazing! They took time right then to look up the active ingredients and how dangerous it was. Luckily, everything was fine. I was so impressed they would take so much time out of their day for someone who wasn't even their patient rather than just telling me to bring him in (and charging the office fee). I decided they would be our vet after that. They have not disappointed. They are so welcoming every time we come in, take time to answer questions, and give options and I have never felt pressured to do any treatments.

I've been taking my babies here for 13 years. They are always caring and compassionate. If something is out of their scope of practice they are quick to refer to VCA or somewhere with higher levels of care. They are honest and upfront when things don't look good. It's pretty cool when your dogs actually enjoy going to the vet! Extremely caring when it comes to end of life care as well.

When our dog was just a puppy and we didn't have a vet yet he got into some lawn food and seed. I called one place and there wasn't a vet on duty, so I called Placerville Vet Clinic next.
