Very friendly staff and doctors. Doctors are very professional. They do a great job of being honest about what services/procedures/tests are necessary and not really necessary, rather than pushing you to do every possible test to get more money out of the visit. They are great about giving you a list of options to address an issue. Have always treated our dog well and their diagnoses/recommendations have always been accurate and useful. I have been to other vets that seem unnecessarily rough, for lack of a better term, and poke/prod our dog and make it a generally unpleasant experience (i.e. no finesse), and vets that insist you need to do every possible procedure and test to make sure there is nothing wrong even when you only brought them in for shots and a nail trim and they do not have any symptoms. This is why I appreciate Sun Valley, they are great with both the animals and the people. Read Less

I had three visits here so far. One for my cat's examination, the second to get her surgery done, and third to pick up. The office is really clean and comfortable. They offer tea, coffee and hot chocolate from their Keurig! :D the technicians were extremely nice and accommodating as well. Visit 1: I asked for Dr. G. She was kind and patient when I freaked out about my cat's five year old mass on her tummy. I agreed to an x-ray after she gave me a quote. She informed me the mass wasn't interrupting the functionality of the other organs in Misu's body. Phew! T_T My options were to get the mass removed, or  to send a sample to the lab to see what kind of tissue it was.  Dr. G gave me a quote that included the surgery and meds. I already wanted to get rid of the mass so I chose the surgery. (Although it would've been cheaper at the time to just get the sample done.)I got sent back out to schedule my next appointment. Paid for x-ray and consultation. ***check in to get a discount!!For any surgeries done, you drop off your furbaby anytime between 8am-9am day of. Then the doc will perform the surgery around 12pm-1pm after all their morning appointments are done. (This is also good because fur baby can acclimate to office.) Pick up for me was around 4pm. Oh yeah, to prepare baby night before, Misu couldn't eat after 10pm and couldn't drink after midnight. Visit 2: Dropped off Misu at 8:30am. Had to pay half of the surgery for deposit. Left with anxiety and worry, lol. When the surgery was done around 1:30pm, Dr. G gave me a call herself to tell me how wonderful Misu did! Yay! Also she said it was a benign mass, just a lipoma! (Fatty tissue). I was so relieved. I also saved some money (like $200 I think) since I didn't have to send the tissue to the lab. Picked up at 5pm and also received the meds. Paid for the rest of the surgery + meds. They provided a cone for her so she wouldn't lick her stitches. She got some staples too. Took her home and she was wobbling from the anesthesia. She almost ran into the wall, HAHAHA poor mamas. Visit 3: Every night until visit 3, I had to take on and off her cone for breakfast and dinner. She did well with the cone surprisingly. (You can also use a baby onesie if your pet doesn't like the cone). Took her back in 2 weeks later to get her staples removed. Done in less than 5 min! How wonderful. Didn't have to pay for this visit. Overall, I am a very satisfied customer. The doctors and the technicians never rushed me on anything. Just a tip for newcomers/new pet owners, to avoid any surprised bills, just ASK for a quote before agreeing to anything. If you're looking for the best vets office to take care of your pet, look no further.  This is it.I've had three dogs over the years, one with diabetes, another with Cushings Disease, and another with stomach issues requiring many visits to the vets.Dr Garg  has been taking very good care of my babies for years now and I trust her judgement implicitly.  She is not only very personable and friendly but she's extremely knowledgeable.Prior to seeing her, I had seen three or four vets over the years but Dr Garg was the only one who diagnosed my dog with Cushings disease.  All the others missed it.The support staff are also very nice and friendly.  I will often call for advice and they are always so helpful.  I never have to wait long for an appointment and they're open all the time.  I have seen Dr Singla a few times as well and he is fantastic too.  He even kissed my dog.  How many vets do that? I've been taking my American Eskimo here since I first got him as a puppy. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they genuinely care about you and your beloved pet. I come here somewhat often unfortunately but I have a puppy and two cats. What I enjoy most about this place is the follow up. Even though my little fur babies are always scared to go to the vet, they are always treated with care and kindness and then I receive the follow up phone calls. Yes, phone calls! I appreciate the care that my animals are getting. To clarify, I have been here frequently because my puppy was on the puppy package for his shots and then my cats needed care because of worms. Now my puppy has a floating kneecap and he needs surgery. I do understand this is common in small dogs, I just was hoping it wasn't so soon that it would even ever happen to my puppy. Either way, I am setting up the surgery for the poor little Thor and I will be happy after he is finished and feeling better. Tip: Get pet insurance as soon as you get your animals. Don't go here , brought a dog I rescued to get shots and a flea bath. The dog has since been adopted. They turned me into the County stating I had a pit mix and now the county wants some fees . The dog is a 12 lb Weiner dog mut. If they think this is a pitbull they might think your cat is a lion. Don't trust them. Good deeds never go in punished.Read Less

Took my dog here for an emergency visit. The staff was so helpful both on the phone and in person. Unfortunately my pup had to be sedated for surgery which made me nervous. I brought my cat here earlier this year.  She received excellent care at a very reasonable price.  One of my cats had some serious cuts.   The vet (I don't remember her name, but she was a female doctor) helped advise the next steps.  The cuts required stitches, grooming, sedation, etc.  She was calming and knew exactly how to remedy the situation.  I felt in good hands leaving my cat there.  I came back a few hours later the the procedure was done and was very satisfactory. First and last time I will be bringing my pet. I felt like I was being rushed out the moment the dr came in. I have been to many vets before and have had many different experiences - I can tell when they genuinely care about your pet and want to help versus just trying to prescribe you medication and push you out the door. She just took a look at my malshih, told me what it was, and stopped listening to my concerns. She went over the estimate with me in 5 seconds and did not even explain the medications to me - because you know I don't speak vet -, assumed I wanted and agreed with everything she prescribed (without asking me if I understood, and did not give any second for me to ask any questions) and sent me off for payments. I did not feel any sense of care for my malshih what so ever. The most frustrating part was I felt like she was not listening to me and made me feel like I was bothering her with my questions and concerns. If I am going to pay you for my visit, least you can do it hear me out. After I already told her I just recently gotten blood work done somewhere else, she still put that on my estimate - again because everything I said just went through one ear and out the other. The food that was prescribed to me had the very ingredient in it that I said I was concerned about and when I told that to the receptionist, she was not helpful and just told me the vet prescribed it for his condition and acted hesitant to refund me my money for the food. She just handed me the receipt with no words, no thank you, no alternative solution.The shot she gave my malshih left him bleeding. The receptionist just said it was normal, it's not. He has gotten many of shots before and never bled. She didn't even bother to check where he was bleeding to help cover it up. And barely offered any assistance. Again, I just felt rushed. If you care about your pets and want a place that will actually listen to your concerns - please do yourself a favor and stay away. Do not get sucked in by the good reviews. I moved up to Concord from the South Bay and needed a vet for four dogs. I was extremely pleased to have found Sun Valley Regional Animal Hospital. The employees and doctors are very kind and caring about all the animals they see in the clinic. I have had to put one dog down due to brain disease and the technician sat with my dog and I with complete empathy. If I have a question, the doctor calls back and discusses whether I should bring my pet into the office for further treatment. My daughter has taken her cat to see the vet on my recommendation and was also very happy with the clinic. I highly recommend Sun Valley Regional Animal Hospital to everyone who has a pet or pets. Our family has been going to Sun Valley Animal Hospital for about five years now. During those five years, we have watched Sun Valley go through some ups and downs. (We did leave for a short while during one of the downs, but I think those days are over). The most consistent thing about Sun Valley are their long hours (which include the weekend), their availability for appointments, and appropriate prices.When one of our dogs was a puppy, Sun Valley saved her life by recognizing an often overlooked issue with her pancreas. One of our dogs is extremely high stress and anxious when it comes to vet visits. Instead of writing this off, the front desk helps us make our appointments when others won't be around and really gives her space, which has made visits much easier.The doctor I can wholeheartedly recommend is Dr. Garg. She is intelligent, kind, and so patient with pets (and their humans). Dr. Garg was so loving with one of our dogs who recently was unexpectedly facing her last days. Dr. Garg was patient and thoughtful as our brains wrapped around our heart breaking news. Dr. Garg was straight-forward and honest. I have been taking my puppy, Sargent Brownie to this vet office since I got her a year and a half ago. No matter which doctor, asstant, or receptionist I have to deal with that person is compassionate, thoughtful, detailed, knowledgeable, personable, and explain each procedure prior to doing anything so that your aware of what your pets needs are and what it's going to cost. I would think they are compatible with other vets in the area as far as costs go. I know that I feel 100% sure that my dogs needs are met with each visit. On one visit I was getting my dog out of the car (she really didn't want to go inside? but what I didn't realize was one of the Assistant's was watching from outside and when the assistant came in from her lunch she knew my dogs name as she came in the door. That made me feel good that without a chart or something she knew who we were and this was only our 2nd or 3rd visit. Anyway I'll be going b there for a long time to come!! Read Less

The nicest vet I've ever been to. Very clean and you are in and out in a matter of 20 minutes. I love how much the staff loves the animals that come! they are also very good about checking up on the animals after they have had shots or any appointment. Also when you make an appointment they are amazing about reminding you the day before and then texting you the day of about the appointment. I brought my dog here to get caught up on his vaccines and have his annual checkup.  He was nervous at first but by the end of the appointment he warmed up to the doctor and the rest of the nurses.  The best thing about Sun Valley is that they are very helpful and extremely accommodating.  They worked with my schedule and were even able to schedule day of appointments.  Other vets in the area won't let you visit for at least a week or two.  Some aren't even open on weekends -_-If you need a reliable vet, Sun Valley is it!
