The staff is friendly and understanding. The doctors are concerned. The price for services is good, but there is always a long list of charges to review. Came in as a walk in and was greeted promptly! Had me sign in and was seen within 10-15mins. The nurses who assisted me where kind and treated my pup very good! The veterinarian was amazing and told me up front what it could be! Long story short my dog needed emergency surgery and they did an amazing job! I've been to many vet/humane society places and I have to say that this place had the best service and prices. The staff were welcoming, were concerned for the health of my dog, but didn't pressure me to get the upgrade/indepth care. (personally financially strapped) Their pricing is fair and doable. I've been coming here for about three years. I was recommended by a friend to bring my dog here because of their fair pricing. I was at my last try to finding a vet that would work with me and not against me. About 6 months prior my pitbull became diabetic at the age of 4yrs. I'd had gone to three other vets in which would either make me feel dumb or would either give me a lecture. I gave this place a try and Dr. Ghobrial was willing to listen and inform me on many things. I knew I was doing something right with my dogs diabetes because she was becoming more herself. Dr Ghobrial was willing to work with the routine I had going for her. He's never been negative on the things that I've doing for my dog.The reason I am giving 4 starts was for my experience today 6/13/17 with another Dr. I came to get my other dog checked and my experience was....uncomfortable (best word I can use) The assistant was very standoffish and really seemed to not not really care. The Dr. was okay but I just didn't get that he was understanding me very well. My whole experience today was nothing like what I've had the past 3 yrs going there. My baby girl Lucy and came in on a Tuesday for a rabies vaccination. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the vet was very informative and professional. Lucy even licked his hand while he was handling her! She was comfortable, which made me comfortable. I brought my dog here as my current vet in pasadena was already closed. My dog was vomiting and had diarrhea and they were the only place open nearby. Thye wanted to charge an upfront $39 which is no problem. Another dog peed on the front and the receptionist wiped it with a towel without spraying any disinfectant. Then when they asked if I was first time I said yes and they asked for my pets injections which I did not have as I rushed her in. Then the assistant said she has to ask the doctor. The doctor came out (keep in mind we are still in the lobby) and he assumed she had parvo because of her injection. We assured him that her injections are all up to date and we had everything and it has to be something else. He asked if she ate anything which we assured him she did not as we watched her the whole day and she was fine. Then he went back to it being parvo. He asked what we feed her and we told her she's on a raw diet which is freeze dried meat and Grandma Lucy's freeze dried food. We mentioned her saliva was sticky and he was like okay we will take her in. The assistant came back to take her temp. The first time she said it couldn't be right and did it again. Then after taking it again she said it couldn't be right. They gave us estimates for blood work and CPL which we agreed then they said they will bring her back for blood work. They brought her back and told us to wait. We wanted a few minutes and the assistant comes back and says she needs to get her again because she didn't get the blood for the blood work. Then after a while they bring my dog back, after another 10 minutes goes by she comes back and says she has to take her again because she did not get enough blood and has to do it again. My dog was shaking at this point and did not want to go with her, but they took her anyway. Long story short her blood work came back and they said maybe rat poison but nothing they can do. She needs to see a emergency hospital and he just kept going over the blood results. At that point I could careless and since you don't have the proper equipment I rather rush her to the emergency rather than listen to what her blood work shows me. I definitely will not be coming back here anymore and will be looking for another vet that opens late. Read Less

Came at 840 on a Wednesday since I didn't know if there'd be a wait. There wasn't. They opened right at 9am and I was the first one in. Did a walk-in. It's a small place but cozy. They make it feel homely. Everyone is very nice and attentive. It's a local place that got the job done.My fur baby is 6years old and his back leg was very swollen yesterday. He wasn't acting like himself so I decided to bring him in. They took his weight and asked about the problem. The dr saw him by 930am! I was so glad it was fast. Dr was very gentle and explained everything to me. They gave me a break down of everything they recommended. Prices seem expensively but I have no idea how much it should cost. Spent $135 on 3 types of medication for my baby. Eye meds and antibiotic. Read Less

I think perhaps this facility is better suited for dogs, not super cat friendly. None of the examination rooms have a door- big turn off if you have a cat. You can hear all of the dogs barking so definitely stressed my poor kitty. The vet tech didn't know how to operate the scale in our room (which she verbally relayed to me). Neither the vet tech nor the actual vet seemed comfortable handling my cat. Which, given the fact that cats can act out in vet settings, totally understandable at first. But my cat is the opposite- wild little animal at home but completely docile at the vets because he gets very scared (and has always been complimented about how easy he is to handle by all of his past vets). The vet gave a very feeble attempt to examine my cat and within minutes said he had to be sedated to be examined. Considering all of his previous vets have had no problem examining his mouth, I found his attempt very lacking. Though I can imagine perhaps how scared my cat was by the ambient noice, perhaps it was more difficult to examine him here then in previous settings. So, not very cat friendly. 1 star given because the staff themselves were friendly enough.UPDATE: took him to another vet who had no problem examining him- even shaved off the fur near his mouth while he wasn't sedated. This place is definitely not cat friendly.Also whoever says this place is cheap is out of their mind. They gave me an estimate of $921 for draining an abscess. Took my kitty to his regular vet and got an estimate of $241 (and a full and thorough examination). Read Less

I read the reviews on how this place is so affordable so I gave it a try took my dog in for check up next thing you know they wanted to charge me $900 for ear infections, medications and blood work  I couldn't believe it I told them I don't need all that I just want my dog to get his ear infection taken care off and the bill was still over $300 because they over charge for medication I ended up paying because I live my dog but when I got home I research all the prices of the meds and they charged me over double of what I could get them online. I had called around a couple places who couldn't take walk ins before I called Pomona animal hospital they had later hours then most near by vets, and they take walkins but were able to give me a same day appointment I was so grateful as I already waited so long didn't want to put him through anymore torture.  My dog was having diarrhea for 3 weeks, couldn't hold it for more then 3 hours and was having accidents in the house. Unfortunately I was not ready for vet bills, and was hoping we can fix it with home remedies.. But what do I know about animal care.. Of course that didn't work and am sorry it took that long to take him, he got checked out for a lot of underlying issues but the care and medication he received helped him right away; didn't have diarrhea and had  solid stools by the next dayThe staff and Doctor were great, explained his issues and instructions for care thoroughly And I am just so grateful. Well, they are your off the street vet clinic with boarding facilities. They are basically around the corner from where I live. When I had to leave town for a couple of days on very short notice, I boarded my dog with them. When I came back, she was so happy to see me. I have left my dog for longer periods at other places and never seen her so anxious to get out of any of them. So, my rating is actually the rating coming from my dog, not myself. and it is just for the boarding, not any other service of the vet clinic. Although the waiting room looks very old and dingy. Run the other way!!! Not the place to get your cats groomed. You will pay an arm and a leg for a simple bath. MOLLY is rude and seems to think that it's ok to provide services without consent first. I've taken 2 cats before and was charged 40$ and this time after paying 900$ for vet services, I questioned her about her outrageous 70$ per cat, bath fee. Her response; "well last time You got a better deal" and "if you don't like it, you don't have to bring them here, anymore" then proceeding to telling the receptionist to put me on "her list" of people she won't give services to! Talk about the nerve of this woman! I've never been provided such awful customer service. Please do yourself a favor and take you fur babies to a groomer that actually enjoys her work and doesn't charge you $$$$$'s for a plain bath.Read Less

BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE!! I took my doberman there for ear cropping. I thought this is such a simple thing for a vet, but they almost make my dog lost one of his ears. If they never did this before, just tell me that I am sorry, we don't do this. But the stupid staff use a wood stick and unknown tape corp the ears very tight. I told them this is not right, but that stupid girl told me, we got more experience, he should be fine. I trusted her, but my dog was suffered!! I am seriously considering suing them. it cost me another $800 for the surgery. Please take good care of your pets, avoid this hospital!!! Read Less
