Our family dog (a large breed) had a chronic ear ache. Rather than allow us to come in and attend an appt. with him, we were told we had to leave our dog for the day with the clinic. We left him with the clinic approx. 8:20am, and were told we could pick him up at about 4:00pm. At 1:30 the clinic called, and said that they needed permission to sedate our dog, (when permission had already been signed off that morning). At 2:30, the clinic called again, and told us that although they had sedated our dog, they could not work with him, and asked us to come and pick him up. Upon arrival, we found our dog in a very small cage, that smelled of vomit, he acted scared, yet happy to see us. We asked them why they didn't use a muzzle to examine our dog. The response was, , "We forgot to." That is not only unprofessional, but uncaring. Also, if my dog had been properly sedated for his size, weight, etc., he would not have been able to walk out with us so easily. Any knowledgeable, experienced veterinarian hospital should know how to properly sedate a dog according to their size. Our dog went home with no medicine, with his ear still aching, and to our surprise a mouth injury due to an apparent struggle with someone at the clinic (ie. rope, leash, etc) as per what we were told by one of the clinic employees. We will never use or recommend this clinic for pets again. Read Less
