I been taking my dogs to sierra since he opened well my hound dog got sick after being charge twice for the same test and going through my whole saving 1500. Plus i still have no idea whats wrong with her. When my saving was gone he told me that he couldnt do anymore for me. Im devastated and my dog still throws up all the time. I work hard for every cent i make and love my dog so much and he turned me away after all my savings was gone and still have idea whats wrong but i do know she dont have valley fever a test he ran twice cost 400 $. Kind, warm, accommodating. Found ourselves in a tricky spot with a very sick dog and completely out of our geographic area. We LOVE Sierra Veterinary!!! The staff are AMAZING!! They are so friendly, warm, welcoming, and great with our animals! I really feel at ease leaving our dogs with them! I called on Monday for an appointment to have my cat neutered and was able to get him in the next day! I had called around and the cost was almost double at another office in town and the wait time for an appointment at a second office I called was almost 2 months out. Dr Albers is fabulous. My animals are always treated very well and he always does an excellent job explaining different conditions and options for treatment. I never take my cats or dogs to any other vet. I just took in a stray kitten and he handled her with care and concern while explaining her condition and our treatment plan. When the doctor is actually there and not  practicing shady practices that are probably against the law (idk but maybe prescribing opioids for animals that owners keep abusing and using the meds for their own high is ethical) you might get some quality treatment of your animal. But hopefully you don't arrive on a day when the doctors wife is in office fighting with the doctor or belittling the front office staff in front of customers. What is now left of the front office staff that haven't become tired of the antics and unfair employment practices that are routinely enforced are usually to busy stabbing each other in the back to actually take your appointment to help your animal. But don't worry if there is something wrong with the animal, they will always refer you out to the pet emergency room in Visalia or one of the other veterinary offices in town to have them help you. When you call to make a appointment it is usually two or three days out at a minimum, but when you drive by their location it looks like a ghost town. I know when my sister who had an animal who was suffering from cancer called to inform them the treatment wasn't helping, that the animal was in constant pain and not eating or drinking and inquire if she could bring the animal down to have it euthanized they said even with the animals situation they wouldn't be able to see her for 3 days and then would have to pull some strings. She then called another office in town and they immediately made an opening to help her and have the animal relieved of his pain. All I am saying is to think twice about bringing your animal here. Even though they may be a couple of bucks cheaper, they probably aren't gonna be worth all the hassle they will be putting you and your animal through. Read Less

He is kind and caring and he is the best I've seen when it comes to properly diagnosing and treating the animals.
