The people were very friendly, but the prices are ridiculous! Wanted to charge me almost $100 just to fill out a form to take my dog on a day long vacation to Mexico. When I said No Thank You, they called me back less than 5 minutes later to lower the price by half. Then found out I dont even need it! Not very good customer service in my opinion.

I've been a pet owner for more than 50 years, and Dr. Haley is the best vet I've ever worked with. Currently I have a rescue cat with chronic issues that plagued him over 5 years, which several other vets couldn't address (and actually made worse). Dr. Haley was able to resolve those issues through her expertise, perseverance, and willingness to listen and partner with me. On top of that, she clearly cares more about her patients than making a profit. She offers as much time as needed at each appointment, and has quickly responded to multiple emails, even on weekends and holidays. Other staff members I've encountered have been friendly and helpful as well. I highly recommend this clinic.

Brought my dog here for a check up and they not only tried to get me to pay for unnecessary treatment, but they over-charged my bill. They gave me an estimate and without explaining the increased charges, they tried to charge me more.
Be sure to double check your bill when you come here. This is a typical vet that knows people will pay whatever for their pets.
They also told me my dog needed expensive dental work because her teeth would begin to hurt her soon. My dog lived another 3 years with no teeth pain whatsoever.
Whatever they prescribe, get a second opinion.

I would give this Veterinary hospital 10 star if Yelp allows. We recently moved to Poway and needed to find a near by veterinary hospital to establish patient doctor relationship just in case we need emergency care for our senior pug named Boogie. I read and interpreted all the Yelp reviews and made an appointment for routine physical checkups. I am blessed to have Dr. Laura Oh to evaluate Boogie. She took her time to check Boogie from head to toes and provided a sound "senior care program" to help maintain Boogie's good health. I am very impressed with the entire staff. Everyone is helpful and passionate. Their price is very competitive, and the most important there is no pressure sale! I had a wonderful visit with Dr. Oh and I know I can trust her 100 percent to care for Boogie. Thank you!

Best Vet clinic ever! I haven't been able to find a decently priced and friendly vet thus far until I took my pup here! I had an overall amazing experience plus I got a 50% discount for it being our first visit and a free month of flea meds (online promotion). They were able to accommodate me and get me an appointment for the next day which I wasn't sure was going to be possible! Everyone was very friendly and it felt like they really did care about the wellness of my dogs which is actually very hard to find in a Vet Clinic these days.... They are easy to work with, and also very helpful and give you multiple options on plans to help your pup for what ever their issues might be. (meds/procedures etc.) and they do not pressure you to buy the most expensive package as most vets do just to make more money of you.. This is my dogs new vet for sure! I never want to take them anywhere else!!! Thank you Advanced Care, you're the best!

I was recently referred to this Veterinary Hospital. I have 2 dogs with severe allergies. I have had the great pleasure of working with Dr. Karen Perry. She is thorough, extremely helpful and very patient. I have a German Shepherd who is almost 13 years old and very sweet and a Chihuahua who can get stressed easily. She handled them both with so much love and care I felt as if she cared like they were her own dogs. She called to follow up on blood test results and never made me feel like a "bad" dog mom. The office staff, Kaitlyn and all of them as well as the vet techs are wonderful. I am so happy we have found Dr. Perry and this hospital. I know our fur babies will be in good hands. My wife and I love this place! We've relatively recently moved to the area, and gotten to know them very well over the the past year or so, due to our cat's numerous issues. We have found them to be friendly, kind, conscientious and very good at what they do (despite our cat not being pleasant towards anyone who isn't me or my wife). Our cat has mainly seen Dr Halsey, and she is the BEST and has saved her life on at least one occasion (removing an obstruction from her colon / spotting a growth on her eye which I think some vets may have missed). I seriously cannot write a glowing enough review.

My dog Legend had a cancerous growth on his eye which Dr. Gordon had removed several years ago. My other dog died of spinal cancer. I take meticulous care of my pets, feed them a raw frozen diet, supplements and take them to the vet when they are sick. My pets are part of our family. On December 23, right before all the vets were shutting down before the XMAS holiday, I discovered a red bleeding growth on Legend's paw. I know all about bone cancer and was completely shook up. I found it at night and immediately emailed Dr. Gordon with photos. Knowing Legend's history and my love for him, he got back to us right away and by 8 am the next morning, Legend was in for surgery. The staff was wonderful and very caring. It turned out Legend's tumor was benign (which is a miracle) and Dr. Gordon had emailed us this fantastic news on Christmas day! It's hard to know whether to trust reviews but our family has been a patient of Dr. Gordon's for many years and have been to many veterinary hospitals. He is very concerned about making sure clients and their pets receive the best in customer service and veterinary care. If you ever have a concern, you can always just let him know. Highly recommend him!

I did not know what this was I figured it was normal maybe he would be okay the next day or so. Not at all his problem got worse he started yelling from the top of lungs screaming while he is boo booing..I told my girlfriend and we could not figure this out so I took him to the vet again 1,000 later he is still screaming its awful I feel like I may need to down my dog because he is suffering. This Vet did nothing for me, Even one of the vet lady after words even said why did you not bring him to us the day after, I'm like what? We are here Now worried!! I told her this was the Second time I'm in your office with this issue you started. So I do not advise this clinic, NO not at all.

We took our younger dog here for a lump in his throat. The vet and tech were so amazing and patient with Bo Henry. He's not always open to being probed and prodded. I had to help with getting a sample and I appreciated the vet asking me for help instead of putting him under. It was already stressful having this lump. The tests came back great and he is healthy. This will be our new vet. I've never had a vet that called me to give the results. It was a fast test and a quick call. Thank you for all your great care. Everyone was amazing. From front desk to tech and vet.

It is with a heavy heart that i write this as my fur baby just passed away a few days ago, but i cannot be more thankful for the care that this staff has provided Dolly and I the past few years.The staff - vets, vet techs, receptionists- are all wonderful and have always made us feel at ease no matter the issue. On multiple occasions the staff has accommodated my schedule and taken my girl in last minute. I teared up a bit reading all the thoughtful messages that they sent to me after she passed. I don't have any specific stories to share, just an overall, every-single-time, glowing review. I'm very particular about my dogs' care, to the point that some would call me fanatical, and I'm extremely particular about their veterinarian.
That said, I trust Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital implicitly and will never go anywhere else as long as I live in San Diego. Dr. Gordon and Dr. Halsey, with whom I've had the most experience, are competent, compassionate, and extraordinarily attentive. They genuinely care for the pets they treat, and unlike a lot of veterinarians I have encountered over the years, they really do listen to you, as your pet's best friend and greatest advocate, to come up with a comprehensive approach to care that includes both traditional and holistic therapies. Even saying they go "over and above" is an understatement.
I've never felt pressured at Advanced Care, their costs are very reasonable, and the clinic staff is fantastic, as well. Amazing!

Dr. Gordon at Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital is fabulous! I adopted Shep five years ago from a rescue and when I took him in for his first physical, I was told that he would most likely have to be euthanized by the time he was 6 or 7 years old because his hips were in such bad shape. After Shep started having some pain in his left leg this past week (he's about 7 years old now), I took him to my local vet where they offered "pain management" or expensive hip replacement surgery. I wanted to offer him a more "holistic" option and found Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital. I was so relieved after Shep walked back in the room last night visibly better after he had an acupuncture treatment. It's about an hour drive from where I live but SO worth it to me for the peace of mind I have knowing that Shep is in such capable hands. I am so grateful to Dr. Gordon and his staff; Shep and I cannot thank you enough!

The people were very friendly, but the prices are ridiculous! Wanted to charge me almost $100 just to fill out a form to take my dog on a day long vacation to Mexico. When I said No Thank You, they called me back less than 5 minutes later to lower the price by half. Then found out I dont even need it! Not very good customer service in my opinion.

I've been a pet owner for more than 50 years, and Dr. Haley is the best vet I've ever worked with. Currently I have a rescue cat with chronic issues that plagued him over 5 years, which several other vets couldn't address (and actually made worse). Dr. Haley was able to resolve those issues through her expertise, perseverance, and willingness to listen and partner with me. On top of that, she clearly cares more about her patients than making a profit. She offers as much time as needed at each appointment, and has quickly responded to multiple emails, even on weekends and holidays. Other staff members I've encountered have been friendly and helpful as well. I highly recommend this clinic.

Brought my dog here for a check up and they not only tried to get me to pay for unnecessary treatment, but they over-charged my bill. They gave me an estimate and without explaining the increased charges, they tried to charge me more.
Be sure to double check your bill when you come here. This is a typical vet that knows people will pay whatever for their pets.
They also told me my dog needed expensive dental work because her teeth would begin to hurt her soon. My dog lived another 3 years with no teeth pain whatsoever.
Whatever they prescribe, get a second opinion.

I would give this Veterinary hospital 10 star if Yelp allows. We recently moved to Poway and needed to find a near by veterinary hospital to establish patient doctor relationship just in case we need emergency care for our senior pug named Boogie. I read and interpreted all the Yelp reviews and made an appointment for routine physical checkups. I am blessed to have Dr. Laura Oh to evaluate Boogie. She took her time to check Boogie from head to toes and provided a sound "senior care program" to help maintain Boogie's good health. I am very impressed with the entire staff. Everyone is helpful and passionate. Their price is very competitive, and the most important there is no pressure sale! I had a wonderful visit with Dr. Oh and I know I can trust her 100 percent to care for Boogie. Thank you!

Best Vet clinic ever! I haven't been able to find a decently priced and friendly vet thus far until I took my pup here! I had an overall amazing experience plus I got a 50% discount for it being our first visit and a free month of flea meds (online promotion). They were able to accommodate me and get me an appointment for the next day which I wasn't sure was going to be possible! Everyone was very friendly and it felt like they really did care about the wellness of my dogs which is actually very hard to find in a Vet Clinic these days.... They are easy to work with, and also very helpful and give you multiple options on plans to help your pup for what ever their issues might be. (meds/procedures etc.) and they do not pressure you to buy the most expensive package as most vets do just to make more money of you.. This is my dogs new vet for sure! I never want to take them anywhere else!!! Thank you Advanced Care, you're the best!

I was recently referred to this Veterinary Hospital. I have 2 dogs with severe allergies. I have had the great pleasure of working with Dr. Karen Perry. She is thorough, extremely helpful and very patient. I have a German Shepherd who is almost 13 years old and very sweet and a Chihuahua who can get stressed easily. She handled them both with so much love and care I felt as if she cared like they were her own dogs. She called to follow up on blood test results and never made me feel like a "bad" dog mom. The office staff, Kaitlyn and all of them as well as the vet techs are wonderful. I am so happy we have found Dr. Perry and this hospital. I know our fur babies will be in good hands. My wife and I love this place! We've relatively recently moved to the area, and gotten to know them very well over the the past year or so, due to our cat's numerous issues. We have found them to be friendly, kind, conscientious and very good at what they do (despite our cat not being pleasant towards anyone who isn't me or my wife). Our cat has mainly seen Dr Halsey, and she is the BEST and has saved her life on at least one occasion (removing an obstruction from her colon / spotting a growth on her eye which I think some vets may have missed). I seriously cannot write a glowing enough review.

My dog Legend had a cancerous growth on his eye which Dr. Gordon had removed several years ago. My other dog died of spinal cancer. I take meticulous care of my pets, feed them a raw frozen diet, supplements and take them to the vet when they are sick. My pets are part of our family. On December 23, right before all the vets were shutting down before the XMAS holiday, I discovered a red bleeding growth on Legend's paw. I know all about bone cancer and was completely shook up. I found it at night and immediately emailed Dr. Gordon with photos. Knowing Legend's history and my love for him, he got back to us right away and by 8 am the next morning, Legend was in for surgery. The staff was wonderful and very caring. It turned out Legend's tumor was benign (which is a miracle) and Dr. Gordon had emailed us this fantastic news on Christmas day! It's hard to know whether to trust reviews but our family has been a patient of Dr. Gordon's for many years and have been to many veterinary hospitals. He is very concerned about making sure clients and their pets receive the best in customer service and veterinary care. If you ever have a concern, you can always just let him know. Highly recommend him!

I did not know what this was I figured it was normal maybe he would be okay the next day or so. Not at all his problem got worse he started yelling from the top of lungs screaming while he is boo booing..I told my girlfriend and we could not figure this out so I took him to the vet again 1,000 later he is still screaming its awful I feel like I may need to down my dog because he is suffering. This Vet did nothing for me, Even one of the vet lady after words even said why did you not bring him to us the day after, I'm like what? We are here Now worried!! I told her this was the Second time I'm in your office with this issue you started. So I do not advise this clinic, NO not at all.

We took our younger dog here for a lump in his throat. The vet and tech were so amazing and patient with Bo Henry. He's not always open to being probed and prodded. I had to help with getting a sample and I appreciated the vet asking me for help instead of putting him under. It was already stressful having this lump. The tests came back great and he is healthy. This will be our new vet. I've never had a vet that called me to give the results. It was a fast test and a quick call. Thank you for all your great care. Everyone was amazing. From front desk to tech and vet.

It is with a heavy heart that i write this as my fur baby just passed away a few days ago, but i cannot be more thankful for the care that this staff has provided Dolly and I the past few years.The staff - vets, vet techs, receptionists- are all wonderful and have always made us feel at ease no matter the issue. On multiple occasions the staff has accommodated my schedule and taken my girl in last minute. I teared up a bit reading all the thoughtful messages that they sent to me after she passed. I know that if i ever choose to adopt another fur family member, i will be coming here.Thank you Advanced Care for everything i wish you guys the best.

I don't have any specific stories to share, just an overall, every-single-time, glowing review. I'm very particular about my dogs' care, to the point that some would call me fanatical, and I'm extremely particular about their veterinarian.
That said, I trust Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital implicitly and will never go anywhere else as long as I live in San Diego. Dr. Gordon and Dr. Halsey, with whom I've had the most experience, are competent, compassionate, and extraordinarily attentive. They genuinely care for the pets they treat, and unlike a lot of veterinarians I have encountered over the years, they really do listen to you, as your pet's best friend and greatest advocate, to come up with a comprehensive approach to care that includes both traditional and holistic therapies. Even saying they go "over and above" is an understatement.
I've never felt pressured at Advanced Care, their costs are very reasonable, and the clinic staff is fantastic, as well. Amazing!

Dr. Gordon at Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital is fabulous! I adopted Shep five years ago from a rescue and when I took him in for his first physical, I was told that he would most likely have to be euthanized by the time he was 6 or 7 years old because his hips were in such bad shape. After Shep started having some pain in his left leg this past week (he's about 7 years old now), I took him to my local vet where they offered "pain management" or expensive hip replacement surgery. I wanted to offer him a more "holistic" option and found Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital. I was so relieved after Shep walked back in the room last night visibly better after he had an acupuncture treatment. It's about an hour drive from where I live but SO worth it to me for the peace of mind I have knowing that Shep is in such capable hands. I am so grateful to Dr. Gordon and his staff; Shep and I cannot thank you enough!
