The staff is willing to make hour pet very special and the doctor is clear to understand and he has a caring heart that makes this place a comforting place to leave your pet. They have pets that stay there like a doggie hotel, they take the dogs out side for a walk to go potty, they have a place to wash your pet, and towels to use for drying your pet. They have food and medication for your pet if anything is needed to make your pet happy and healthy. I have left my dog with these wonderful people several times and I will continue to leave my pet with them several times in the future. I am very comfortable with the staff and this place. Read Less

We really love Dr. Gouda, and his staff. We started going there about 6 years ago with our first pit bull and they were always beyond welcoming to us. Dr. Gouda corrected a bad tooth pulling done by a previous vet and since then we have never gone anywhere else. Our pit got a tumor in his stomach, and passed away, and they made that process as bearable as it could have been for us...we still go him with our 2 new pit bulls. They never make us feel weird because our dogs are pits...they are true animal lovers. highly recommended Read Less

This is the place to bring your animals and they will give them complete care. They are professionals and they genuinely care about the animals and clients, which I know is hard to find. Today I took my Chiweenie in for her first visit at Victoria Animal Hospital and it was so pleasant! I was promptly greeted with a smile. I filled out a little paperwork, gave all the details. We were immediately shown into the exam room. Doctor came right in. No wait... was awesome. Explained what was the matter. Doctor did exam, took x-ray, identified problem, administered meds, and gave prescription for home use. I liked Dr. Gouda's bedside manner and thought he was very knowledgeable. Got home and a little more than a half an hour had passed and my dog was already getting back to her old self. She was feeling better, wagging, happy, and noticeably more comfortable. We took our 8 week old puppy to the Doctor today, after a very unpleasant experience in another Hospital (Rancho Cucamonga Regional). We got an appointment right away, the Doctor could see us in less, than 15 minutes! The staff made us very welcome, and our puppy felt super comfortable and safe under the care of Dr Gouda. Ive been coming here with my dogs for years! Love the friendly staff! The Dr. is awesome, he definitly knows what he is talking about. He always works with me when it comes to the price of certain ear treatments(my dog always has and ear infection). OH! and i Love how I can get eveything I need in one place! I highly recommend this hospital to dog and cat owners. I have been taking my 2 dogs and 4 cats there for 3 years now and I have never been more satisfied with an animal hospital. Everyone is always really friendly and they treat my animals as if they were there own. Compared to other animal hospitals, this is the one hospital that never overcharges me. I once had to take my cat in for a urinary tract problem and one hospital was going to charge me over $1000, but a friend recommended Victoria Animal Hospital to me and I paid way less than half of what the other hospital wanted to charge me. I really appreciated how the Dr took his time to explain a procedure that my dog needed last year for a growth that needed to be removed. I am thankful for a hospital who cares about my pets well being and not the money! :) Read Less

Unless you have a lot of money to waste, don't take your pet to this hospital. I spent over $1,000.00 last year on my elderly pet on unneccesary xrays and tests. Dr. Gouda was more concerned about receiving his payment than taking care of my pet. As a result my pet died late November and I took him back only because it was the hospital closest to my home and my pet being a large animal and in pain I didn't want him to suffer while being transported there. I had the last appointment of the day and It was very obvious that not only Dr. Gouda but his staff was eager to get out of the office as quickly as possible. I paid extra fees for having his temperature taken which wasn't necessary as I'd already decided to have him euthanized, he was 13 years old. I never received a call or any type of sympathy letter in the mail like other vets send. All I took was an extra 15 minutes of the office staffs time and when I asked for a copy of the bill for my employer because I had taken time off work, it seemed as though I was asking for a huge favor, they had already turned off all their office machines. Furthermore as I watched my pet go to sleep quickly I could here the staff outside of the examination room laughing and carrying on about their evening plans. I have heard other negative things about this hospital and would NEVER recommend anyone to take their pet to Dr. Gouda. I would rather refer them to other reputable vet hospitals. Read Less

If I could give them a ZERO I would. I told them NOT to pull the hair out of my dog's ears. They did last year and he got an ear infection. Then last week they pulled the hair again. This time when I called them on it, they said they did not have paperwork about that request and hung up. DOG LOVERS BEWARE!! I had to pay $150 at my vet to have his ears taken care of. The jerk on the phone said that he asked the doctor and the doctor said that wouldn't cause an ear infection. MY POINT- If I told you not to pull the hair THEN DON'T pull the hair. My dog has very sensitive ears. DO NOT GO THERE. Not unless you want them to not stand behind their work. Read Less

Staff was pleasant, very close to home, made my dog feel comfortable. I have a large breed, and I don't like when people automatically think he's dangerous. The staff treated him as if he were the most docile animal on earth! Prices were a little higher than anticipated, but I haven't been to the Vet's office for anything other than vaccinations in a long time, so maybe the prices were average.
