Dr. Micco is an extraordinary avian veterinarian, bird whisperer, as well as effective bird-owner educator. A++ bedside manner. The waiting room lobby has been memorable as well: I met a turtle named Fluffy and an African Grey named Afterburner!
Heads up to new visitors from the North: Google maps didn't realize the road is divided, nor the hospital entry drive. After the major intersection, the hospital shares the church entrance. It's another 10+ minutes to arrive at the entrance from the intersection, due to frustratingly scenic tour to a u-turn. I couldn't find the entrance so I parked in the shopping center lot and walked, but now I know: route your GPS to the church nextdoor.

I couldn't be more grateful to Dr. Micco and her team.
My elderly (18 yo) dog had been on a decline for a year, and his previous vet had been waffling on his treatment, opting to extend his life with pain meds and surgeries. They refused to talk about euthanasia despite his back legs giving out, bodily issues, his obvious distress, blindness, disorientation, etc.
I came to Dr. Micco for her opinion and she made it clear that she could do things to extend his life, but it wouldn't be a life worth living. It was absolutely what I needed to hear. She was very empathetic, explained the process to me through the experience she had with her dog Chopper's last days, and gave me all the time I needed with my Sammy. Released from his pain, he passed with a smile on his face. It was the right decision.
Her staff were kind and caring, checked in to see how we were doing, and made the whole process so much easier. When all was done, I walked out the building to see a beautiful sunset on the ocean. I really couldn't have asked for a better end to such a sad (and inevitable) experience.

It's really hard to find an exotic vet, so I'm happy that I found Point Vicente. My hamster had some serious bleeding and they were able to fit me in the same morning that I called. Dr. Micco was very nice and explained everything that could be going on. She was also understanding of my budget, which I appreciated. She and the staff were great about answering any questions I had, even via phone the following week. Thankfully, Eloise is doing much better after the meds they gave us. I hope I don't have to see them again soon, but very glad to know of a good exotic vet, just in case.

The staff and vets at Pt. Vicente are competent and caring. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes in the waiting room and staff usually helps me and my little animals (in cages) to my car....
The staff and vets at Pt. Vicente are competent and caring. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes in the waiting room and staff usually helps me and my little animals (in cages) to my car. I am especially pleased that two doctors treat exotics and do it well.

My elderly (18 yo) dog had been on a decline for a year, and his previous vet had been waffling on his treatment, opting to extend his life with pain meds and surgeries.
