We have been bringing our pets to Dr. Hutson for longer than I can remember:  first the bunnies, then 2 sets of cats, and now the dogs.  One dog is having seizures (this other is fine). She is excellent - and carefully does a full assessment of the pet - she then fully explains the condition at hand and her recommendations.  She is very open to questions and gives complete answers.  She also discusses alternatives to testing and/or treatment and goes over costs - she addresses/balances the pet's needs, costs, alternatives, etc.  I trust her completely.  Additionally the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very loving towards the animals.  They are careful to make sure that pets don't encounter each other in the waiting area - so there are no surprises to scare the pets coming or going (this alone is impressive).  They also are very accommodating to squeeze you in if the situation is urgent.  I very much appreciate this.  Checking appointments online is great!  Getting copies of documents is easy and straightforward - they even send in the insurance claims for you!  My dogs love visiting AHRB!  They are always excited to Dr. Hutson and the office staff. The team is so gentle with the pets - they don't even mind exams, blood draws, urine draws, and vaccines.  They too trust Dr. Hutson and staff! Read Less

The staff here is very friendly and caring. My dogs love them. My lab was not feeling great and was just laying around which is not him. We took him in and tests were done. It was expensive!! However the vet on duty did help us out with medication and I am very greatful for that as I could not stand to my buddy in bad shape. He is doing better and I thank them for that. I am more than satisfied with the wonderful service at this place! It's a small but wonderful clinic. They take care of everything your pet needs. On my first visit they created an account for my dog, and gave me a folder with all my dog's documents and certificates organized in it. They always remind you of your upcoming appointments and vaccines that your pet may need without being pushy...and they even have an app to make appointments at your convenience! I feel like a sucker. I took my 4 month puppy to get a check-up today because he lost his voice and I was concerned maybe he was sick. Doc charged me $59 to put a thermometer up his rear and told me he lost his voice from barking. (My puppy rarely if ever barks --"well, sometimes dogs growl so low humans can not hear it and that is how they lose their voice." Can we get a moment of silence for my IQ...To add insult to injury, she spent as much time as possible attempting to worry me in to spending HUNDREDS of dollars (on my already fully vaccinated puppy) by scaring me with virus and euthanasia stories while waving disgusting photos of what-ifs... it was all uncomfortable, prey-like behavior on a dog owner --if not insulting. I paid the $59 and decided I will sign-off on returning to this vet. If you can afford it, go for it --but there are plenty of other places who won't have you leaving feeling like a delusional bird brain. Read Less

I moved to Redondo recently and needed a new vet. This place is amazing. The doctors and staff are attentive and clearly animal lovers. They gave bits of chicken to the pups throughout the exam and during their shots. The puppies were happy and had no idea they were at the vets. The staff also called the tracker company to ensure my information was up to date. They also registered me with PETtrac - I didn't even have to lift a finger and received an email confirmation shortly after. I have had nothing but good service and results with Dr. Christina Hutson. I have taken my animals to her, mostly cats, for about 20 years! She gives good advice.  Most recently, I had a feral cat spayed here, and given a microchip. He is now a happy and healthy house cat!With my older cats, Dr. Hutson told it like it is, and was very pragmatic and practical. Mr. George and Mr. Jax  cats have been treated by the Animal Hospital of Redondo Beach since 2008. I couldn't imagine a better experience each and every time we have to take them in for shots or check ups. The staff is so friendly and patient. George is a tad rambunctious, he loves to explore the exam rooms and is pretty vocal when receiving his shots but the staff never complains, they are super understanding and can see the truly sweet and curious cat that George is. Poor kitty Jax has had a few issues over the years, a heart murmur and crystals in his urine, each issue was treated with care and compassion, today Jax is very healthy and happy and we are so grateful with the care that he receives each time. I started taking my boxer boy, Rufus here after my long time vet moved out of state. I couldn't be happier with the service I've been receiving from Dr. Hudson and her staff. They are all friendly and truly care about their patients and owners. Rufus has been having an ongoing issue that has required the attention of multiple specialists. We moved here about a year ago and have been happy with Dr. Hutson and her office. I have a barky schnauzer, so appreciate that the staff always gets us in an exam room right away. The payments are also processed in the exam room, which means no standing around in a crowded lobby or waiting area. At first, we had a communication mix up because the clinic was only using our home phone number (which we never use and rarely check the messages). They have always been warm, caring and understanding. Dr. Hutson has been my dog's primary vet since 2005. We have had multiple issues with her paw due to a congenital defect. The staff is fabulous. They greet you with a smile, while showing a great deal of care and concern regardless of size. They are always available and prompt in all related facets.
