I have had an incredibly stellar experience with Redondo Veterinary. My dog Caleb is pushing 11 years, and recently required a number of heath services--vaccine updates, teeth cleaning, some minor dental work, and removal of a few tumors. Admittedly, I was very worried about the surgeries, but felt really great going into it because Dr. Andersen, Dr. Murata, Beverly, Kaitlyn, and the entire staff were genuinely caring. All of my questions were answered, and they guided me throughout the process from pre-surgery, day-of, and post-op recovery. I received follow-up calls and emails, which were certainly appreciated. The costs were totally reasonable, especially given the caliber, quality of care, and professionalism of this office. It's great having a trustworthy vet, and I'm always glad to support awesome local businesses.Within a day after his surgeries, my pupper was all smiles, chipper, and back to his old self. The stitches healed nicely, and there's been nary a complication.  In the attached pic, Caleb looks ridiculous wearing the "cone of shame" and a recovery t-shirt, but sporting the biggest smile because he's such a champ and feels great! We have been taking our baby here for a number of years. Dr Amber Anderson is beyond wonderful. She is so patient, helpful and knowledgeable. Our dog is 9 years old and they always make time for her when we need last minute appointments. The front desk staff is so sweet, I never hesitate to call and ask questions. They are always willing to help. When I bring my daughter in they always give her a coloring book to entertain her and let her pet the office cat. It makes the trips much easier. i have had 10+ vets in my life, with different animals, different cities etc and Dr. Anderson is by far the best! i have been with her for over 4 years now. You can tell what kind of a leader she is by the way her staff responds to patients and clients and i never ever worry about my animals when they are in her care. She is so knowledgeable and kind, i really cannot say enough. And she is more than reasonable with her rates. i actually drive an hour each way to have my animals meet with her over anyone else. definitely 5 stars and definitely should be your first choice in the south bay. Dr. Anderson is the best small animal vet out there!!! Serjio recommends her highly, in fact he loves going to see her! she was the one who saved his life when the breeder gave him to me on deaths door, we've been following her ever since.. Our little pup, Ollie, is a rescue dog. He came to us with a number of problems, including a broken tail that had no feeling in it. Not only did Dr. Andersen get him tuned up quickly, she got us connected to a great surgical team that was able to operate on his tail. We are happy, and more importantly, Ollie is happy with the result. Dr. Andersen approaches her patients with care, concern and an understanding that our pets are our friends and members of our family. Dr. Amber Andersen lovingly treated our dog as an individual, as if he were her pet. That and her professional competency resulted in great medical care. Dr. Amber is an incredibly caring and brilliant vet. Bob (aka Bobilicious Kine Maximus) sometimes likes to eat stuff at the dog park. We keep an eye on him, but things happen. It was very clear that something had become stuck inside him and his stomach was swelling. My husband rushed Bob to the Emergency Center where they did a diagnosis and suggested $2,000 worth of treatment. I immediately called Dr. Amber to get a second opinion and she talked me through all the possible complications and possibilities and helped me to make a sound pet-parent decision. We watched him carefully throughout the night and he was fine by the next day without any expensive and unnecessary procedures. The visit I had here with my dog was fine, albeit expensive. Dr Moss prescribed Trifexis which I paid $140 for through RVMC. After that ran out, I wanted to get more so I found a good price online and put in this vets info since they gave me the original prescription and it was still valid. My order didn't go through because RVMC would NOT honor my dogs prescription for this particular vender. I called and talked to a presumptuous and rude woman who explained this all to me. But she assured me that if the vendor was properly licensed and bonafide, that they would allow the prescription to be filled. I chose another vender who complied with all these requests and they denied the prescription again. To resolve the situation, I had to physically go down and pick up the script myself so I could mail it in to my chosen vendor in order for them to mail me the medicine. RVMC won't allow a prescription from their office to be filled by another vender because they want to force you to buy from them. I won't stand for this kind of extortion. Don't ever try and tell me where to spend my money! I'm irritated and will look elsewhere next time my dog needs to go in for a visit. Read Less

When looking for a great vet you should really consider this hospital. Dr. Moss is young, intelligent, and really cares about his patients. Dr. Moss' staff is incompetent, rude and has no customer service skills. RVMC is financialy motivated and refuses to issue the client a RX to have filled anywhere else but them. In searching pharmacies for a more cost effective pricing, I soon learned the reason I was unable to locate the RX was that the FDA had pulled 5 1/2yrs ago from the US market. In speaking w/the Veterinary Medical Board I learned it is against the business and professions code 4170 #6. After advising RVMC of this, I received a email the next day from Dr. Moss letting me know I should find another vet. Not once has my dog been considered by RVMC. They call themselves animal care specialists...I would not allow them to treat a house plant. Read Less

1) Brought dog in for general checkup, vet prescribed Rimadyl for mild arthritis without mentioning any of the side effects. After 3 days on the medicine, my dog could not walk. Turns out partial paralyis is one of the side effects of Rimadyl, not to mention death. There is a huge class action law suit against Rimadyl, and yet the vet didn't mention any of this. Had I known, I would take mild arthritis over partial paralysis or death any day. 2) The vet told us that our baby kitten was a female. The vet saw our kitten multiple times. It wasn't until we took our kitten to be spayed that we found out she was a he. How hard is it to tell if a cat is a boy or a girl? A professional vet should know the difference, or at least tell the patient that there is a some probability the cat is the other gender. 3) The vet charges $10/animal/record if you chose to go with another vet. Not only that, but the vet has to approve the records prior to release (are they retroactively changing the records for fear of lawsuit?) Do not go to this vet. Find another!!!! Read Less

Its great to find a vet who loves cats as much as I do. It was obvious Dr. Moss not only has cats but enjoys working with them. He made us feel very comfortable with our cats and he gave us a lot of great information. His staff and hospital are great and clean! Read Less
