He was attentive and operated on a mouth tumor on my son's poodle and, frankly, I was very pleased with his manner and again, the price was reasonable. Here's the thing. This place may be old and run down; and the Dr clearly has a dry personality but it's available. He honestly does care otherwise at his age he's just close shop and nicely retire. He's always gotten me in last min and corrected every issue I've had. If your looking for a high end practice, drive to Fresno. I appreciate the convenience of the location and the knowledge he has. He gets it done and isn't that what we are there for? I'm writing this review because of the negative ones I see. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS SHITY BS place. I toke my puppy pug for a parvo and deworming shots back in December 2016. She wasn't do for a booster 6month after. Well this morning I took my 5 month pug ROXY back to this place. Due to my pug being sick. I honestly didn't not thinking she had parvo. OBVIOUSLY SHE HAD HER PARVO SHOTS ALREADY STEW MONTHS BACK. Truly a zero star review. Our cat was handled roughly, given a very poor exam (he barely looked at the cat), and he was unprofessional and unpleasant throughout. We brought our cat elsewhere where the vet had a VERY different opinion on the condition of the animal. So much so that he recommended immediate hospitalization and x-rays, whereas Dr. Graves just tried to push us out as quickly as possible. Not the place to go for a c-section. It's been over 5 hours and the 2 out of 4 remaining puppies are barely breathing. Not to mention momma hasn't even been able to stand on her own. I believe possibly too much anesthesia was given? Last time I had a dog have a c section she was able to walk out on her own and babies were vigorous and crying. Horrible environment!!!!!! Brung my puppy their for ear cropping and they killed her.....Please BEWARE dog lovers.....The price is great but the place is unsanitary, they never wash hands..... I got my dobermans ears done here and they came out like tijuana plastic surgery (awful) I called because the stitches started to smell and the vet gives me attitude. This vet killed my dog took him there to have his surgery remove tumor When we picked him up his stiching was horrible and I came back for follow up because his wound was not healing right and he told me my dog had cancer and he was not going to last I was furious this occurred due to his bad stiching and my dog got reinfected worse than he was with tumor to make short my dog didn't last long he died two days ago had to put him to sleep due to him have cardiac rest due to his wound from the post surgery never going here again and don't recommend anyone to do surgeries here if you want your love one to live longer Read Less

I've had really good experience with Kings River Veterinary Hospital. The owner literally blessed us this week when my dog was hit by a car, with no money or anything to give him, he still proceed with surgery and allowed me to pay on a date that was best for me. If I could give zero stars, I would. The staff have absolutely no compassion for sick animals and don't explain anything to help you understand what's wrong with your pet. I took my puppy in THREE TIMES and mentioned an issue that she had been having. The first time I brought it up he said not to worry about it, the second time he said absolutely nothing about it, and the third time he gave her a medication that would basically make sure that she didn't die but also that she wouldn't get better. After about a week of giving her the medication she had gotten much worse so we took her to a different vet and they told us that if he had acted when we first mentioned it her treatment would've been very simple and inexpensive. But now we're going to have to spend hundreds more to make her better. I recommend that you go to Reedley Veterinary Hospital, the women there are very kind and compassionate, and within one visit my dog has shown visible signs of improvement. My baby girl woke up practically screaming for help. We took her in, she was seen right away. Dr got straight to the point, gave her medication and she is now fine. He even called the next morning to see how she was, that made me feel good. Second time I took her in she had some kind f stomach dog flu he took care of her once again and  at a reasonable cost. I really do not know why they got into this industry because they seem to hate being around pets.The vet and staff handle animals very rough and with zero bedside manner or understanding if you are concerned about your pet. I called in when my dog was gravely ill. I wanted them to meet me there to help him. The vet asked me to first check to see if my dog was still alive. I said I thought so. He then proceeded to suggest that I poke my dog in the eyeball to check and if he didn't react to that then don't bother bringing him in. I hung up when I heard this. This is the 1st time I've done a review and it brakes my heart that it's a sad 1 I took my chihuahua to him (Dr Graves)because she was attacked by another dog and was badly hurt and bleeding I didn't have much money just for him to check her if she was going to be ok and if she needed surgery I could have gotten more money on the spot. He tells me she is ok and nothing severe but I told him she's loosing a lot of blood and she's not walking Dr says she can walk she just don't want to puts her down tries to make her walk while she's crying and makes me call her but she can't so i pick her up.. I ask is she fine any broken bones he says no all she needs is antibiotics and she's good to go.. long story short if all she needed was antibiotics why did my BABY DIE that same night.. Never take your pet here! I had heard bad things for about this vet for a few years. However, I had to have my dog put down because she had liver failure and was suffering. I thought, how could this vet screw up putting down a dog? I'll tell you how. I took my dog here, who was severely bloated due to liver failure. After he gave her the shot, he kept flicking her in the eye until she quite blinking. "okay, she's dead now". That was just great! Possibly the best dog I ever had, got to spend the last few moments of her short lived life being flicked in the eye... My experience with this vet was not a bad one.  He is straight to the point, can give you an estimate on a procedure right away and I was able to get an appointment the same day.  Prices are very reasonable and since his office is the closest to my house, I don't see a reason to go anywhere else. We recommend Dr. Graves!! We had our male cat, Cutie, nuetured at his office. Dr. Graves' skills and instincts with animals appear genuine and experienced. Other vet hospitals try to take advantage of your love for an animal by over pricing. You will not receive that kind of treatment with him. This quack killed my dog that I had raised from a puppy at 5 weeks old to the age of 7 years old because he refused to listen to me about the way he was acting. He refused to do testing on him and in fact said he was as "healthy as a horse" his exact words and in fact the whole time he was in renal failure. I knew he was sick and took him in asking for help and was given two different medications for him to take which had nothing to do with what was really wrong with him. He got worse and I took him back the next day and wanted blood work or xrays or a scan or something to find out what was going on and he still adamantly denied my dog needing it saying he was "As Healthy As A Horse" My dog was 90 pounds last October and when I took him in to Kingsburg Veterinary Clinic for a second opinion he was 73 pounds. Dr. Gobind didn't hesitate in saying we need to draw blood now and that's when my husband and I found out the horrible news. The damage was irreversible. I guess I wasn't one of those that carried him in my purse as the review above said but I sure did carry him in my heart and it hurts so badly knowing that we failed him. Please Please PLEASE think twice before taking your four legged family member to this man. He doesn't care enough to stop and listen and it could be deadly. He may be a little cheaper but at what cost? What are you really paying for? Are you getting your money's worth? Is your pet getting the true care that you set out to get for them? I've been taking my animals to him for 20 years and haven't had any problems, I will continue going to him until he retires.
