Absolutely the worst experience. I agree with all the comments calling the “vet” a problem maker, erratic, sub par at best.. you can tell he hates the job and that’s the worst kind of vet to encounter. I felt completely misguided, unimportant and like a bother, and most of all.. traumatized by this entire disaster. I won’t get into specifics, but let me start with the fact that this is the only vet I’ve been to in the recent years, that even bother with the old fashioned temp check with thermometers. That alone, along with the unkept, simply unsanitary sense to the entire place, not to mention the lack of sanitation used on the thermometer before OR AFTER the use on my pet & being tossed in an unkept drawer.. is why I stand by my claim and belief that this horrible place caused the death of my beloved baby. This is the ONLY PLACE OR EXPLANATION HOW SHE CONTRACTED FELINE PARVO. My visit was in Jan 2023, so I hope no one else around that time was exposed. this nightmare is the last thing you think will happen when you’re taking your fur babies to a place that is supposed to be safe, clean, competent. This is anything but that. If you love your pets, DO NOT GO HERE. Read Less

I took My cat here because he had a cyst on his nose that's been removed once before. I waited outside in my car for for them to have an open room, which was nice but I don't know why I couldn't wait in the lobby. They called me and I came in and I went in with the cat. It's an indoor cat not around many people so I had the cage covered. And then they asked me to get him out to look at him. Then they immediately left the room after they asked. The room was basically a hallway with two doors, this room had dogs and people walking in and out constantly so it functioned as a hallway as well. The "vet" walked in and out of the room times during this visit. I waited for him to come back after the first time, to get the cat out, then I opened it to let him out and the vet reached for the back of the cats neck which is normal but he did so aggressively, and my cat reared back as he had a stranger reach with his hands in his face, then the vet told me to get the cat, and my cat swatted at me and hissed as I reached for him and he cut my hands the "vet" then said "No I can't see him! He just swatted at you imagined what he'd do to me!!? I can't check him out.!" Then said "I guess I can look through the cage, That Looks like a tumor!!" Then he asked me the history of the cat, and THEN told me that he couldn't see the animal because I didn't have the records of the animal. Which I can understand, but I am not sure if he couldn't look at the cat bc of my cat's reaction or because I didn't have access to any records. This veterinarian (if you could call him that) was flippant and erratic. After he told me that the cat might have a tumor and he couldn't see me because I didn't have any records he left the room again and made me wait while he gave a dog a shot in the next room. And he charged me $40 for less than 3 minutes of his time which was already divided by him taking care of other patients. He also said that if it is a tumor and he did do the surgery it would be a "hard" spot to do it at, which is already a given considering its on his nose. He seemed to be a person that created problems rather than solved them. Which isn't good for business. I'd rather put my cat to sleep than give this business any of my hard earned money. If you've read this far I would highly recommend not coming to this veterinarian or take the chance and hope you don't have a similar experience. Read Less

I would give this place zero stars if it was an option. The last time I was in here Dr. Gray was an overbearing leftist ass about wearing masks OUTSIDE the building in line (in the open air, more than social distanced from the other customers). This time I checked the internet to see if they were open before I drove all the way to Reedley, and it said they were open and normal business hours applied. A handwritten sign on the door informed me that I was out of luck, which is totally unacceptable in the 21st century. As you have to get your dog weighed before getting the tick pill I was there to receive, and I came without my dog as we did that last visit, I cannot go to another vet and get what I need today. Wasted half day at least. This is a horrible vet office with horrible staff that do not care about their customers at all in my experience. Steer clear at all costs. Read Less

My family has been coming to Dr. Grey for year, throughout all phases of our pets life ( from puppy shots to putting beloved animals to sleep), and have found him to be honest, have integrity, and truly care for animals. I feel that he is skilled and proficient with the tools that he has at his clinic and understand that he doesn't have (nor advertise) the high powered CT imaging or scopes as places like UC Davis; but he is a truly caring small town vet who remembers families, their passed animals, and tries to be as open as possible with the awkward conversations regarding cost and treatment. Like all vets (and human doctors) he can't give you magical answers as to what the exact problem always is, how long a pet may have with a chronic condition, but we've always found him to be honest with use and treat us with respect. If you're looking to employ every method to save your 20 year old cat a few more weeks, this is not the place. You'll find a vet who is willing to have the conversation with you about what is best for the quality of life of your animals; not what you necessarily want to hear.Thank you Dr. Grey! Read Less

I took my dog here. He was really having stomach issues. (To gross to give details.) The front desk was friendly and helpful. Really nice!. The doctor after a exam explained what was wrong with my dog, in terms I could understand. He prescribed antibiotics and other meds for the rest of his problems. I thought the Dr. was professional and straight to the point. He listened to me and even took the time look at a photo I brought in concerning my dogs symptoms. The cost was reasonable considering I was a walk in and all that was done in getting a diagnosis. Also they called the next day to see how my dog was doing and offered a free follow up app. The meds all worked and my dog is fine now. I have never had a problem there. Read Less

Brought my cat Figaro to this vet it was an emergency he got hit by a car and had really bad wounds on his eye and jaw Dr. Grey says gives me options after a "over view" of putting him to sleep or my option of surgery I went with surgery of course following day he asked me again about my decision I said the same surgery and he said OK after that went home waited for the results got a call earlier than expected and he said Figaro my cat was doing fine until he noticed his pallet of his mouth was split to the back of his head I was hurt for the fact that he didn't catch this on his first over view and I had put down $250 for his shots and $300 to start surgery I felt he took advantage of the situation and took the money out of salesman position not a "DOCTOR" I had to put my cat to sleep.... I only got back 102 dollars back my cats dead they got some money out of it and they don't even have a chart or brochure of what everything costs they just slapped prices down on a hand written receipt and he still got offended when I asked for the copy of all the shots he gave my cat with the prices the first receipt was blank with only the amount I put down overall I feel he took advantage of the situation for the money he wasn't trying to get my cat back home to me if he did he would have done a professional 100% accurate over look on Figaro and he didn't even take X rays. I could have saved Figaro in the hands of a professional doctor not a salesman.... I hope this veterinarian reads this too! The girls at the front desk were sweet. The doctor was a jerk. He didn't ask much history on my dog at all before roughly handling her and then having two other girls come in to assist (this was not needed). I could have helped him. He clearly did not know how to handle the situation. All they did was make it worse. My husband was basically told to back off when he tried to comfort our screaming and crying dog. The doctor was very condescending and honestly I already knew what was going to be said before he said it. As if this wasn't all enough, the price for this 10 minute visit to check a couple of dewclaw wounds was over $50!! No stitches or anything. Much too pricey!!! If i could give this establishment a zero, I would! I took my small dog here for the first time last week for a toe nail trimming.  My dog had his dew claw cut by accident at a pet salon so this was my last resort.  Due to the trauma of that incident he can be very nervous when anyone tries to trim his nails.  Anyways when the vet finally came to see us in the patient room he put his hand over my dog and my dog instantly started barking and growling at him (which isn't like him).  I told the vet he doesn't warm up to men as fast as he does to woman.  My dog is a boy dog.  So the vet throws his hands up and says I am not going to deal with this and started condescending with me. So he just left and told the vet tech and vet tech student to deal with it.  He came into that room and didn't even ask for my name or my dogs name.  The only person who seemed to be enjoying what they were doing was the vet tech student.  She asked me what my dogs name was and instantly started talking to him and letting him sniff her.  The vet should have though of us as potential future patients but he just walked away.  I will never bring my dog back here again.  VERY RUDE, CONDESCENDING, VET. I recently adopted a dog from my grandmother, and he has been experiencing ear irritation, so I asked her which vet she used and made an appointment here. When we arrived we were told the dog was evil (based on previous experiences there) and that we should wait outside until the vet was able to see us. Our appointment was at 3:45 and we weren't seen until 4:20. During the waiting time an unleashed pitbull ran out of the office up to my dog and one of the vets assistants had to come get him. Once they were ready, they weighed my dog and brought him into the room. Dr. Gray joined us, to tell us that we wouldn't even look at the dog because he had been a previous problem with them, and that I would need to bring him in Monday morning so they could put him down all day and check his ear while unconscious. Like pushy salesmen, they scheduled this appointment without any regard to my schedule, I requested to give them a call after seeing if I could take even more time off work, and they asked my girlfriend if she could do it. Then they tried to tell him he needed a muzzle for the next appointment and said "she will fit one for you to purchase". They refused to even look at my dog, wasted my time, and still charged me $30 for the office visit. After speaking with my grandmother I find they have a pattern of taking advantage of people who only want the best for their pets. She also stated that he's never been unruly to the point the vet was describing. I find it hard to believe a vet isn't equipped to deal with a dog who isn't comfortable at the vet.. I retrieved his records and will be taking him to a competent honest vet, not a shady salesmen. Read Less

My family and I have been coming here for years. Whenever we've had a peculiar case, we've been able to take the pet in for frequent check ups free of charge. This is important because the first hypothesis to a case is usually the simplest, and if it is a tough case, you need to constantly try other approaches and see how the pets health unfurls in order to truly solve the issue. The clinic itself looks clean and smells sanitary (an issue i have with other vets), and the receptionist is nice. Im unsure as to why other reviews here have been so low. The reason why i didnt give a perfect score is because their hours are limited near holidays and the cost of some services are a little more expensive than other businesses (about $5 more for some shots) Read Less

The lady receptionist is very polite and sweet, but the vet himself is a piece of work.  He condenscends and it's just not necessary in a vet clinic. People come in for animal medical care, and yes, they are going to ask questions about what is being done to their pet.   His assistants leave much to be desired as well, it makes me wonder whether they ever learned formal manners before working with the general public.  Whatever their deal is, it doesn't appear that they are sufficiently trained with customer service.  They walk right in and out through examination rooms without so much as speaking to the waiting client.  You might get a stare from them if you're lucky. Here's a suggestion: Quit acting like a wanker when people make legit inquiries regarding their pet.  Don't hand them a bunch of fliers you printed from Google and wave clients off as if that's supposed to satisfy their desire to know more about what's going on with their animal. They just paid money for medical expertise and you're simply telling them that you are not worthy of the job every time you do that. Read Less

Read Less
