Last weekend unexpectedly I had to bring my kitty in to be put down.. Canyon Crest Animal Hospital was very nice and helpful., I had called a few other hospitals not knowing what to do and all they cared about was if I had an appointment .. it was frustrating. 05/03/2017 I called as a responsible pet owner concerned about my puppies health and the receptionist Genevieve I believe her name, was very impatient, unprofessional and rude. I think she got overwhelmed with the questions I was asking and in return she hangs up the phone! I live in the Canyon Crest community neighborhood and I won't be going there ever again. My cat has been to this vet for regular check-ups and those went fine. However, he recently showed signs of being sick and we wanted to bring him in on a Saturday morning.  We live 5 minutes away and called 40 minutes before closing time. We were told we could not bring him in because they were closing.  I consider this completely unacceptable.  My cat is sick, they have seen him, they have his records, but because they are "closing" 40 minutes ahead of the time stated in their hours, I had to take him to an emergency clinic where he is not known at all.  Not good care.  I am switching vets to someone who will actually care about my pet's health. We have been taking all of our pet family members to Canyon Crest Animal Hospital for 16 yrs now!! I am extremely pleased with the excellent and loving care provided there!!! We and our pets love everyone at Canyon Crest!!! Dr. Schoen is the most awesome, caring Doctor my pets have ever had and I hope he never quits being a veterinarian!! I honestly don't know how I'd have gotten through caring for all my fur babies without him!!!! Love Love Love CCDENTAL!! Just had my 6 month check up! Once AGAIN, Linda Bushman used her gentle hands and skills to make my smile clean and bright! AND...last night, my son Derek Hamilton was commenting on his latest experience! I had no idea he had chosen CCDental with his insurance. He loves the "spa" atmosphere and said he never waits more than 2 minutes BUT he was so impressed with Marlene's cleaning! He has sensitivity to cold and he said in spite of everything else they do at CCDental, she used warm water when working on him! I was so impressed; never would have even considered getting this treatment from a hygienist! I went here quite a few years ago (2009). I had rescued a stray kitten from work and a couple of months after having her, she became very ill. I took her here because it was the closest to my house, and referrals from some of my neighbors. They were full with appointments that day, so they tried to call around to other animal hospitals to see if they had any openings. After that they ended up squeezing me in and taking us back to a room (the poor condition that the kitten was in was too much for them to turn us away). She ended up having a severe kidney disease and needed to be put down. The experience was absolutely the worst but the excellent staff made it as pleasant as it could of been. I'm looking to adopting another pet this year, and they will be my first stop. I hope that their service is still as amazing as it was back then :)!Read Less

I think that Dr. Davis should step up to the plate, and be forthcoming with the treatment records of the sweet little Harry that died at Canyon Crest Animal Hospital.  The owner (Me) has been struggling for 4 months to get him to release the treatment records, but has yet to receive any paper work.  It makes you wonder why? This dental office is just pure awesomeness! From the front office staff, hygenists and doctors they all are super nice and extremely compassionate. I'm a big baby and they offer free Nitrous even for cleanings. And never make you feel like a wimp about it. I recommend them to everyone! Read Less

I went there for the first time 1/28/13 with my 8 year old cat who appeared to be having some problems with her mouth/teeth. I got her checked in and there was no wait at all!They were very quick and efficient at getting my cat seen by the Dr. (Dr. Davis) The Doctor noticed she had some major teeth issues going on and needed some teeth removed, luckily someone had canceled their appointment for a teeth cleaning and they were able to take my cat back right away! I got there about 945am (my appointment was at 10am), we were in the Doctors office being seen by about 1005 and once I agreed on her teeth cleaning, I signed the paperwork and by 10:30 am they were taking my cat back.I picked her up around 4pm that same day and my poor kitty had to have 4 teeth extracted but I was delighted to see she was feeling well, they said she did excellent during the extraction process and they also took the extra steps to clean her ears and clipped down her claws! This place is excellent!! My cat is like my child, so there was not a price that was too high for her treatment...I thought they were surprisingly very reasonable! And to think, I was so nervous!! It turned out well, my cat is doing well and I am very happy with the treatment.Read Less

For major procedures I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else (spaying, teeth cleaning, etc) but for every-day stuff they are WAY over priced. The doctors are great and the vet tecs are even better and they are super nice and go out of their way to make sure that your pets are safe and well cared for. However, don't expect to get in on the same day if you have an emergency and you can plan on paying top dollar every time you walk in the door (they charge $60 JUST to be seen).Read Less
