Price was reasonable they took in my pug who had a scratched retina did a test and gave him some medicine he's still on the mend but I have an appointment in a week for a follow up. I have been going to Dr Alice for many years. I took my little girl there yesterday to get spayed and when I picked her up she had bruises and scratches on her chest area. Not sure where or how they got there but they were not their the night before. She is fine today so I will let it go. My big eleven year old male cat was in pain from a cancer tumor and I decided to have him put to sleep. So I phoned and ask if I can be with him, because he was a very shy cat, he would hide in a closet when some one came to the house, especially men scared him to death. They told me yes I could. So I knew I could keep him calm being with him to the end. What I wanted is to keep him from being terrified in his last minutes alive. That is not what he got. His basket was picked up by a big man, taken away from me into the inner sanctum, I'm told to wait and when I panicked because now he is in there with a lot of nurses, Doctors all talking and a stranger that shaves his leg and breaks a plastic tipped catheter into his skin, I was told they bring him right away. It was too late the save him the fear. When he finally brought him back the the outer exam room Figaro was in terror. Shaking all over with eyes too afraid to see me and drooling from his mouth. He had gone through exactly what I wanted to spare him from. The man has a dog, but I don't think he ever loved a cat and lost it. He did his job fast, efficient. If you have an animal you have to put to sleep don't go there. It's my fault, I should have gone to Town and Country, that Doctor loves cats.. Read Less

I always take my dog here but this last time, the front desk girl was very rude, dog poop all over the floor, people were all over the place, not knowing who was next. My dog was very nervous pulling up to this place. She's been going her for years. She peed herself and was just too nervous. The staff there is very rude and shows no empathy. My dog a few months ago hurt his leg, so i took him in and they refused to see him because i didn't have an appointment and they didn't have enough vets for a walk in. So ended up taking him to Arlington vet down the road and they were able to see him right away. So today i need to get my other dog her rabies shot and i called for their shot hours and was told 9 to 5:30 so i showed up around 11 and was told the morning hours were over. I told the lady behind the counter that i called and was told the hours were all day, there was no mention of a break in the hours. She didn't care, was rude and showed no empathy. I ended up going to sunnymead vet in moreno valley and was able to get the shots i need, they were much nicer, and cheaper. I recommend going to sunnymead for a much more pleasent experience. Had to bring our dear Salem to LPVC to be put to sleep (he had liver cancer). The staff was very understanding of our grief and gave us as much time as we needed with him before it was time for the inevitable. When we returned to pick up his ashes a week later, we were VERY pleasantly surprised. We expected his remains to be in a cardboard box or at best a little tin box like we had experienced at other vets. What we received was a cedar box with Salem's name engraved on a brass plaque and his paw print cast in plaster! It made this very hard time a little bit more bearable. I brought a stray cat here and the staff was great. I talked to one woman on the phone who was awful and rude but it was an isolated incident. When I visited, the staff was friendly and helpful. To all who gave a bad review based on receptionist service.... I have been bringing my animals to Lincoln Plaza Vet Clinic for 15+ years. As far as I'm concerned, I don't care if the staff welcomes me in, or is overly polite, all I care about is making sure my animals are being saved. Dr Alice Garner and her team are phenomenal with animals, and have so much compassion. They go out of their way to accommodate the animals and do everything physical possible to save a life. We have brought animals that have been attacked by other dogs, coyotes, bit in the face by a rattlesnake, etc. When our beloved pets were on deaths doorstep, Dr. Alice and her crew were there to ensure there was no single methods left untried to save the life of my animals. Its absolutely absurd the audacity of some of these reviews "the staff was rude." or " They didn't welcome me in". Get over it. Dr. Alice and her crew save the lives of animals every day, and they continue to be passionate about what they do. I trust Lincoln Plaza Vet (Dr. Alice) immensely, and I would encourage anyone reading these reviews to consider their animals before their own feelings. I had an Addisons dog that had been receiving monthly shots/meds for years with another vet in town and the day finally came where the choice was made to have her put to sleep. Not an easy choice because she was my daughters favorite dog. On this day she was going into a "crisis", and we had known this day was coming... my daughter who was distraught through the entire process didn't want to see her "puppy" suffer any more. So we contacted our normal vet to bring her in and they said they couldn't see us - (they could all the other times when we needed extra care besides our monthly visits). This crisis happened at lunch time - Lincoln Plaza not only took us in - but they were incredible - and now they are our vet!!!!! I've been going to L.P. Vet. Clinic for 24 years. Dr. Alice has always been wonderful and compassionate, even when the visit was an end-of-life event. She has given us many helpful tips and advice. The other vets were equally professional and helpful. The frequent front-office turnover is puzzling, but I figured it was a rotational thing. Sometimes the staff hasn't been the most friendly "at the door," but overall they have been efficient, kind, and caring. The Vet Technicians have been super great! I absolutely love this vet. They've always been kind. Their prices to treat parvo are unbeatable, but their care is priceless. As I take my cat in today to be put down, I know that she'll be in great hands. (I've had her since 3rd grade, so I must admit I'm quite picky in this choice). The appointments have always been prompt, thorough, and above all, understandable! There is great care towards the animals. Dr. Alice will always come to your pet's level, and will take her time with them. None of my animals have panicked here. I have been taking my pets to Dr. Alice since 1986 and cannot praise her enough. Dr. Alice saved the life of one of German Sheperds and takes wonderful care of my cats. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. I have been to vets in my neighborhood and have not found any with whom I feel comfortable in caring for my pets . I prefer to travel 30 miles one way to visit Dr. Alice as I know I will be getting the best care there is for them. very poor attitude on the Dr Alice Gertner. Would not refill meds on a dying pet and when I went to another vet she called that vet and told them not to do business with us. Pet had one week to live. Ive been a client at Lincoln Plaza for years.Dr Alice is wonderful! She gets down to my dogs level and she is so gentle and really is a great doctor. They have had a change in the staff over the last couple years and they took all the professionalism and organization with them. You could tell who WAS running the place now that they are gone.
