My dog was brought in to check out its eye. 2 minutes of attention and the doctor declares "SURGERY!" We look into a second opinion where we found caring, careful, and thorough attention to find he had a scrath on his eye and just need some medication to relieve the pain and swelling while applying ointment to help heal. The facility itself is a prime example to not judge a book by its cover, as the complex has that retro/60's/70's Riverside look to it, though all the positive yelp reviews persuaded me to come here. Took my little guy here for his annual checkup, and was treated by Dr. Hicks, whom is a caring, charming and very experienced vet.This is the type of practitioner you want, someone working because they still love it, and have seen every situation before, not someone right out of veterinary-school with large student debts to pay (and treatment pricing to match). The price you pay is the price you get.. yes they are cheap and that's nice but my puppy got very sick and I had gotten X-rays from an emergency vet visit... This place is my new go-to for great affordable vet care! The clinic itself is a little old, but the staff and the quality of care is amazing. They have you in and out quickly, their prices are def low cost, and the staff and doctor are great at what they do. The doctor is like a goofy/friendly older gentleman. I recently brought my sphynx kitty to get spayed here. I was really worried about her because she is hairless and didn't want her to have a huge scar. They only charged me $35! She healed up beautifully after surgery and you can't even tell she had it done. I also brought her back for some vaccinations, and they only charged $10 per vaccine. I am so happy I finally found a reputable vet in my neighborhood that doesn't rip you off :) Read Less

My husband and I brought our 14 year old sick kitty to an unknown vet since we are new to the area and what an awesome gem of a Doctor we found!   Dr. Hammarlund was the kindest most gentle loving Veternarian I have ever met!  The way he handled our cat was as if it were his own!  I wish all Vets practiced as he does, his many many years of experience are obvious by his office as well as his love of animals...showing warmth and affection as I am assuming it was years ago before money drove business!  I will drive from anywhere I live to have him take care of my animals!  So very blessed to have met him! I've been coming here off and on for the last seven years.I always come back here. Good service, knowledgeable, on time, good with the critters, nice people and fair pricing. These are old school vets who care about helping animals. No computers, no fancy labs just old school medicine and hands on treatment. I had been to 3 other vets for dogs skin issues, each one was the same here's some antibiotic for infection steroids for itching. If doesn't get better in a few weeks come back wi run lab work and tests yo find cause $$$. Dr Hicks took one look sad sick dog and went to work skin scraping , looked and said yeast infection you need this and do this . Recheck 2 weeks to make sure we got it. All for less than the first visit of the others who only guesstimated on diagnosis . Don't be fooled by fancy offices , and family friendly waiting rooms or apply for vet credit here formes. We tried other area vets and the wait was long. This was reasonable. The staff gave alot of personal attention to our cat. The vet went to great lengths to tell us what to do, what the diagnoses might be and what our plan of action would be. He was not rushed or multi-tasking; which is so common these days. The spay/neuter fee is the lowest around and prescriptions seem to be reasonable as well. I would recommend highly! Read Less

We had a fantastic experience at Town and County Veterinary Clinic. It wasn't the newest, most beautiful office but it helps them keep their costs down and their prices are great. The staff was very nice and when I called in to check in on my cat they stopped and when back and checked on him to let me know how he was doing. They did a great job on his proceedure.
