So impressed with the level of care and attentiveness. Both the vet techs and the Dr. were so thorough in assessing what was wrong with my fur baby. My regular vet couldn't see me this day and I was desperate to get my dog into see someone, as he was suffering from what was later diagnosed as a spinal injury. Couldn't be more grateful for all they did for him, and will be continuing to take him here as my regular vet. Reasonable office visit cost, and only did what was necessary. We have been taking our animals to Victoria Animal Hospital for a few years now. We used to go to Animal Hospital of Riverside, but Dr. Park passed away, so we thought we'd try a vet that was closer. When we first started coming to VAH, Dr Robinson was still the vet. We liked his kindness and cost-conscious approach. Since he retired, we have seen a variety of vets at VAH.This a little frustrating. We would like to build a relationship with our vet so we feel they know our animals, but this isn't the case now. However, most of the support staff is still the same so that is nice.They know our animals and are always happy to see them. While it seems like it's been a revolving door of vets, all have been competent and gentle with our 3 dogs.They have correctly diagnosed our dogs for their various problems.They do have a tendency to recommend more tests, exams, etc., then might be necessary. This is where we see the biggest departure from Dr. Robinson's approach of being cost-conscious. My minus one star is for the "revolving door of vets" and their tendency to upsell you something you might not necessarily need. I would highly recommend Victoria Animal Hospital. I have been taking my fur babies here for over 30 years. Recently I took my dog in for his rabies vaccine and unfortunately, my dog happened to have a severe allergic reaction to the vaccine. I had never experienced this before in an animal. The staff at Victoria were wonderful. They admitted my dog for observation at the first sign of reaction (he vomited after we left the office) and they immediately administered steroids and antihistamine injections to prevent shock. They called me to update me on his condition and for treatment consents and answered all my questions and they released him with additional meds for allergic reaction, which was great because after returning home with my dog, he broke out in hives several hours later. I called the office and the vet tech gave me emergency instructions to administer a higher dose of the meds to treat my baby. The office even called the following morning (a Saturday) to check up on him. They treated my family with compassion and concern and I can say that all of the staff at Victoria treated us and our baby like family. Today I am thankful my baby pulled through and is a happy and healthy dog! I am so grateful for the support I received from Victoria Animal Hospital. We had gone to this vet when Dr. Davidson was the main vet. He was fine, but I can't say he actually was much help. A few years later the new vets diagnosed diabetes, which he never tested for. They are both good, in my opinion. The office staff is also very helpful. Give them a try.... you won't be disappointed. Read Less

When Dr Davidson was the owner it was wonderful. Been going there for over 10 years with numerous pets with no problems. Then he retired and new people took over. The wait time is always at least 45 minutes and the vets are very cold and not caring. Can't even pronounce their names. I took my four year old German shepherd in to be spayed. She had been there several times before, she's healthy and beautiful and we love her more than most of our own relatives. She was like our child. They charged me $450 and you pay before the procedure. Because if they mess up they still want to be paid. Well my dog died!! She died. And they won't refund me. They said sorry but that happens sometimes. Not our fault. Maybe not who knows, what do I know? I trusted them and I paid to have them murder my dog. Ten years of going there and just oops sorry. Not even convincing sorry. Like she got my food order wrong or something trivial. I'm currently looking for a new vet. Read Less

I would not recommend anyone to take their four-legged family to Victoria Animal Hospital.I've been a client since 2002 and for many years Dr Robinson and his staff provided excellent, quality and caring service for my cats. Unfortunately, Dr. Robison is no longer available on a regular basis to continue his practice. Victoria Animal Hospital is under new management and is not what it used to be a few years ago. Based on my experience, I can sadly say that the new veterinarians do not demonstrate professional quality care or kindness toward the animals. I was a fool for believing that those vets were going to help my cat to recover. On the contrary, after having several orders of blood work and x-rays they couldn't tell me what was wrong with my cat. I was given a very strong prescription which made things worse for my cat. Sadly, my cat died shortly thereafter. I do not wish for anyone to go through this horrible experience. I agree with a previous posting, this hospital is primarily focused on the money making more than the wellbeing of the animals. Also be aware that they do have a sister office in Corona, which I visited too because they couldn't give me an appointment here.  Worst experience ever, I took my cat there because he vomited pinkish mucus, the vet walked in and did not bother to check my cat's vitals, he did not even looked at my cat or touch him or asked any thing about my cat, all that he said was that he was  ordering x-rays and blood test. I couldn't believe it, he left, so when the nurse comes in to take my cat for the x-rays I asked if there was another vet in the office and requested for a full examination. I got another vet who looked nervous because I was upset; he did check my cat's vitals and ordered the x-rays and blood work which came back normal according to them. My cat died three months later even thought I kept bringing him for more test, all they did was give him medication that eventually ended his life. I will never go back there, I love my cats too much to make the same mistake twice. Read Less

I've been taking my dogs here since 2000. They are the most caring and compassionate staff. Dr. Robinson walked with me through the life of my two Golden Retrievers, and was always so kind and patient with any question or concern I had. When it was time to say goodbye to them, Dr. Robinson gave them a comfortable and loving exit. Today I have 2 Norwich Terriers and Dr. Heil cares for them as if they were her own dogs. I would highly recommend Victoria Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a Vet that treats their pets like family. Read Less

This office is conveniently located to my home and I use them for vaccinations, boarding and well doggy care. The office is clean, well organized and the staff are extremely kind to my "babies". They cooperate to get you in and work wit your schedule. We have been "patients" for over 15 years and I will continue to use them as we need. I highly recommend. Read Less

I visited Victoria Animal Clinic as recommended by a client. The clinic is conveniently located right off the 91 fwy. The staff at the clinic is super friendly and helpful. I was greeted at the front desk by a sweet smiling Liz who at once connected with our puppy - and before I knew it they had become best pals. I called and got an update every day. And when I went to pick Frosty up, our puppy was so lively and happy. It's usually a dehydrated and sad pup when he has boarded at a local place before. Frosty will be back to visit them. I wouldn't recommend, while the staff is nice, the visit with the doctor is fast. I have had animals all my life, and recently I have had to take my cat in. The vet only looked at the area I had a concern about, and didn't do the full exam on my cat the I paid for. Had the done so I wouldn't have had to take my cat to a different vet the next day for something pretty life threatening. Had a full exam been done the vet should have noticed bigger problems occurring. Now I have had to pay for two vet bills over 200 each time.Read Less

Dr Robinson is very nice. The staff in general are all very nice. The problem is, I do not find him or the staff knowledgeable enough to properly diagnose a severely ill animal. I brought my cat here and under two weeks of his care she nearly died so I brought her to another vet for a second opinion and now three days later she gets to come home because she is near healthy. Dr Robinson was unable to discover that my cat has Hepatic Lipidosis caused by diabetes and anemia when the other dr I took her too was able to diagnose her immediately. I feel like Dr Robinson doesnt have the right knowledge to really be effective. I hate to say something mean though because he is a very nice man and I do think he does love animals. This is a great place for routine procedures such as nail trimming, spay/neuter, shots, etc... Just not for emergencies or severe medical conditions. Read Less

Absolutely the best Vet I've ever been to.  We went to several veterinarians prior to visiting Victoria Animal Hospital and were extremely fortunate to find Dr. Robinson.  Dr. Robinson and his staff have cared for our dogs and cats since 1992 and I've never been unhappy or disappointed.  Dr. Robinson is the most gentle, caring person.  He loves animals and hes seen our pets through many ups and downs.  We recently had to have our pet of 15 years "put to sleep" and both the Dr and his staff provided just the right amount of compassion, sympathy and care to help us through a very, very difficult decision. I think this is a fine place if you just need to get shots and whatnot for your pet. The staff is friendly enough and Dr. Robinson is a pretty nice guy, just older and a little, how do I say it, traditional? It just doesn't seem like he's up on the new info....tests, symptoms, treatments, etc. We had a bit of an emergency with our cat and they didn't know what was wrong and gave us some questionable meds and diagnosis (I'm in the biology field and have 2 family members in the medical field so I have somewhat of an idea on these sorts of things which is why i questioned it). We took the cat to the Small Animal Hosptial for a second look and will be taking our pets there from now on.  Also, I felt the staff at Victoria was rude with me and my fiance when we called trying to figure out about our cat (he had to spend the night at the vet and they were very vague with the problem and treatment). I was also concerned that they closed at 1pm on thrusday (the day we dropped the cat off) and our cat needed to be monitored in case he had more seizures. I have no idea how many times they checked in on him after close at 1 and reopening the next morning.Also, Victoria Animal Hospital is expensive. As I said above, it's probably a fine place for shots, ear mites and tapeworms, but for emergencies or more out-of-the-ordinary pet issues i'd take my animals somewhere else. Read Less
