I had a MAJOR problem with Town and Country and came to this clinic on a whim to help my dogs eye. My visit was astoundingly..perfect. They ladies here are nice but they defiantly don't know what's going on. I brought my dog here 3 times to get his paw checked out because he had a rash and they charged me to cut his nails twice and then continued to tell me that his skin was just dry. They never have open schedule for appointments and everything is way too over priced. Go somewhere else if you want your animal actually cared for they just want the money. Read Less

This clinic is absolutely dedicated to helping your pet as well as helping you. My great dane broke his leg a few months ago and had to be seen at the Arlington Emergency Vet. After talking to the staff there, I eventually had run out of hope. I paid the exorbitant price because my dog was in dire straights. Going in to the Woodcrest clinic I wasn't sure my dog would ever get better as the other clinic had basically told me he probably wouldn't and I wasn't going to be able to afford his care. The staff was immediately warmer and much more welcoming to me and truly cared infinitely more for my pup. Meeting the vet she provided a much more optimistic picture of my Dog's condition. I made a new appointment and braced for the cost of the visit. To my relief the cost was a fraction of what I was quoted by Arlington. Each visit surprising me more and more with the reasonably priced care for a 100 plus lb dog who needed to have a splint bandage change on almost a weekly basis. Additionally, tj e Arlington clinic informed me that they would have to put my dog under anesthetic each time he had a bandage change. This turned out to also be a fallacy because my dog is extremely friendly and completed the task without a single drug every time. Seven weeks later my dog is back to his fun living goofy self and walking on completely healed leg. This clinic did an amazing job and I could not see ever taking a pet anywhere else. We've had MANY of our animals cared for at Woodcrest Veterinary over the past decade or so. The doctors and those directly involved in the treatment and/or care of animals are nothing short of outstanding. They are genuinely interested in the well-being of animals, and I have never left without feeling my animal was well cared for, or that I wasn't provided solid, helpful information.I cannot, however, speak well of the front office staff. The front is WAY understaffed, and those who are there are inadequately trained to handle a high volume of customers. I was there yesterday to pick up one of our cats, and there were a solid 15-20 people ahead of me. As such, it took nearly two hours for the lone front office person to get to me, find my cat and process the paperwork/payment. She also was VERY disorganized and could not remain focused on one task for more than ten seconds. This contributed greatly to the delay, and is not acceptable. Read Less

Made an appt about a month ago, and I was seen 2 days later for a wellness check up for my puppy lab. The front staff where great, they're attitude and service was one of caring and the love they bestowed on my puppy was great. I was in and out quickly, paperwork was minimal, the Vet was nice as well as the assistant. Both attentive, detailed and nice. 3 weeks later my puppy had a really bad ear infection that was smelling bad, so I brought him here as a walk in. I figured with appointments scheduled it would be a long shot to have him seen but after waiting only about 20 minutes, they found me a spot to be seen! A course of treatment was set up and I am so glad they were able to minimize my fears with my puppy's illness. They cleaned his ear out, and prescribed antibiotic drops, and my puppy is great 10 days later. It's not worth taking off a star but I will say the only thing I didn't care for was that costs associated with different treatments weren't given to me as the vet or her assistant were recommending them. For me it was just "this is what we should do" then go to the front counter and lay the lady" after the treatments are done. Including not letting me know the price of the media up hand. Not a big deal, just something to work on. Conclusion, great place, great staff, great care, pet lovers. If you are bring in a puppy for first time wellness, be sure to buy their puppy wellness plan, it is totally worth it. Thanks! Read Less

Have been a patron of Woodcrest Vet for well over 10 years and our dogs (and for a brief period, our birds) have been treated very well.  The staff is wonderful.  They greet each of our kids by name and know their personalities as well.  The doctors have been outstanding and over the years have seen us through any number of teeth cleanings, ear infections, removal of thorns and burs, minor surgeries, and vaccinations.  They have referred us to the best specialists when needed, and have supported us through the passing of two of our beloved pets, something that is hard enough as it is, but even more devastating if confronted with doctors or staff that lack empathy.  That is not the case at Woodcrest Vet Clinic.  Their professionalism and level of actually caring for their patients makes me able to recommend them without hesitation.  Simply the best. Took my dog here a couple weeks ago to get his second set of shots, service was ok. The vet told me all my puppy needed was his ears plucked and since they had charged me $60 you would think it would be part of the service but no that was another $17.50!!! I called again to make a second appointment a couple of weeks later and they had me on hold for 15 minutes!!! First they told me they had appointments for a specific date and then they put me on hold again and said they didn't have it anymore! Unprofessional and not worth the money at all! To say that the women working at this clinic are kind, empathetic, and outstandingly supportive would be a vast understatement. Putting down my dog and lifelong friend was arguably the most difficult thing I've done as a responsible young adult thus far, and I don't know how I would've made it out in one working piece, if not for the staff here. The veterinarian was extremely knowledgable and gentle, and handled the situation with great care. The rest of the staff was so supportive and understanding of the intense crying that definitely took place, and took care of the cremation arrangements with little fuss. We have brought our sweet kitty Maggie here since she was a kitten. They are so awesome and the best thing was when Maggie was in heat they originally couldn't originally see her for a week. Unbelievably rude staff. I was quoted 1300 dollars for a badly needed fho procedure for my dog. I asked the receptionist, Brenda to clarify the price with the Doctor a few times because I saw there might have been a miscommunication. She assured me there wasn't and I left with my 1300 quote. The day before the surgery, they phone and inform my husband it's going to be 1700. When I dropped my dog off for surgery, I demanded to know why there was such a huge discrepancy in price and why. I told Brenda I had asked her to clarify and she obviously hadn't . I stressed how hard it is to come up with 400 more dollars in a day's notice right before the holidays and wondered why I had to pay for their mistake. She told me to stop talking to her rudely. I was not yelling nor cursing. Alice, also told me to be quiet because she was on the phone. I have NEVER been treated so poorly and disrespectfully by anyone in a place of business. I used to work at a vet, and I'm appalled by these women.  The ONLY reason I left my dog is because he needed the procedure ASAP, and because the doctor and vet techs are wonderful. This hospital needs a new front desk staff. Quickly. Spread the word, go anywhere else if you want to be treated like you matter when dropping thousands on your pet. Read Less

Had a horrible experience with them. They are rude and can care less if your pet is dyingthey still want you to make an appointment, then charge you and arm and a leg for putting them down, and to make things worse, don't want to let you take your pet home afterwards. I couldn't believe how rude and inconsiderate the staff was today to my family, even after being loyal customers for 10 years. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone after this. Absolutely horrible. Treated me and my CRF cat as if we were an inconvenience (even though they had no problem taking my money). And good luck talking to the doctor because she doesn't have time for questions. Rude, Inconsiderate, and dispassionate. When my little dog was attacked by a big one, we took her to a nearby vet. They told us she was stable but would need surgery to repair the lacerations. The surgery would have to wait 4 hours because of a spay/neuter clinic. They wanted almost $2000 for their services. Thank goodness, we left to find someone who could see her sooner. Woodcrest Vet Clinic charged only $800 for identical services and were able to get her in right away. The facility was nicer and the vet more professional. Love this place! Read Less

My wife and I went in yesterday for the first time. Unfortunately our baby's hips had fully given out on her and we were there to put her to sleep. Everyone there was really respectful and understanding. This was our first time having to do this and they walked us through the process so we knew what to expect. We brought our pug in to get her routine vaccinations. She is about 7 years old and we have taken her to Arlington Animal Hospital since she was a puppy. We have been disappoint with their service and cost and a friend recommended Woodcrest. I called and made an appt for her and told the receptionist that she needs to have "pre-meds", anti-histamine shot before her vaccines. They asked me to bring any paperwork on her. I brought her whole file that I have kept since the day we got her. I offered on numerous occasions to give them paperwork so they can make copies but they never did. When it came time to administer the shots they weren't going to give her the anti-histamine. I told the receptionist again upon check in and wrote it on our paperwork. I felt that the vet did not give us an opportunity to speak on my dog's behalf to try and give them a rundown of her history. We got a nail trimming and upon pick up the vet said "you didn't tell us she didn't like nail trimmings." We didn't have a chance to! They pretty much just picked her up and took her away, didn't take any copies of my paperwork. I'd like to give them another shot to determine if they will be our regular vet. Maybe they were having an off day. I just want to find a vet that genuinely cares about pets and listens to owners. We made an appt. we are paying customers, we deserve a few minutes of your time. This is my all time hands down favorite vet and staff. I take all my dogs here for check ups and shots and everything else. Today I had to take my dog in because he tore his nose up on the fence. They stitched him up and his nose looks awesome. This is the second time they have had to do a nose repair for him and each time I couldn't be happier with how they stitch him up and the care they give to all my dogs. If you ever have to bring your dog anywhere for whatever reason, bring them here, you won't be dissapointed at all. Read Less

I had to make a very hard decision today to put my kitty down. The staff was awesome. I've never been here before and my vet didn't offer a catheter port, sedation and euthanasia.
