The staff is always friendly and knows my dog by name. Plus, Dr. Williams has a great bedside manner with my pup and listens to all of my concerns. I also like that I can get my dog groomed there. We have been going to this place for many years. You know when several of the employees have been there for over ten years they must be doing something right. My dogs never love going to the vet but they love the staff and the cookies on the counter. The Doctors are very professional and compassionate when necessary. This place is a God's send. They were able to take our dog Leonidas IMMEDIATELY, as his illness was time sensitive. The VCA in Rancho quoted us $8-$10, 000 for the surgery and this WONDERFUL place was able to accomplish a successful surgery for around $1800.  Upon arrival, they knew his name (it was our first visit, but they were prepared for our arrival) The Vet Tech, front desk, and the Vet were pleasant, empathetic, and very professional. I called Rocklin Road to get a 2nd opinion on a tumor on my basset hound Luna's throat. They were highly recommended by a close friend. Due to the immediate need to see if surgery was an option or not, they were able to squeeze me in for an appointment the same day. After some thought I realized that bringing Luna into their office would be too stressful on her, Dr. Gunther was able to review an ex-ray and consult a surgeon without us having to come in. Dr. Gunther was kind, considerate, and treated me as if I had been a client of theirs for years. He was respectful and informative. He eventually ended up referring me to another local hospital with specialized surgeons on staff, but I was so appreciative of the time he took to review our case and he didn't even charge us for his time. I left because they took so long to see me and didn't really let me know how long things would be. After an hour of no vet to see my dog I left and went to a different vet. I am really happy I did that because the other place I went to was a complete 360 in terms of facilities and half the wait time with lower prices at Rocklin Ranch. I could tell I was the last person they were seeing that day and after waiting in the room to be seen by the main vet I just left. I could hear them chatting and talking and it just didn't seem like a priority to see me. My husband and I both think so highly of Rocklin Road Animal Hospital. We highly recommend this place if you are looking for a vet or boarding . The staff are professional and knowledgeable as well as extremely kind, caring and helpful. We have been impressed with every vet experience there with our dog over the years. Dr. Gunther is amazing and the vet technicians are so gentle and their love for animals is evident. While vet visits can be expensive in comparison to other vets we've used this was definitely the most reasonably priced too. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our dog last month which was extremely emotional, devastating and painful however Dr. Gunther and the staff were so patient, understanding and compassionate which was so appreciated during such a difficult time. Vet services are wonderful, grooming service, horrible! My poor golden retriever was shaved from her head to the sides of her body. The inside of her ears were also shaved, leaving it nicked and bright red. She's been shaking her head ever since we brought her home. I feel terrible that she had to go through what she did, because she seems to be in pain and somewhat traumatized! We will never take her back to that groomer again! Read Less

I had to have my dog put down, and Dr. Gunther was kind enough to come to the house after hours to minimize any stress and discomfort our dog would experience. He was a very nervous dog and the last thing I wanted was him to be in a state of anxiety and fear during his last moments. He was extremely gentle and the process was very easy, painless, and quick. Rocklin Road Pet Hospital provides the best pet services I have used! When your pet is seen by a vet tech, you pay a lower rate for routine services. We thought we were going loose our 12 year old collie. We took her to several vets. At Rocklin, she recovered in a couple of weeks. We took our german sheppard in yesterday because we was having trouble urinating. He went into surgery the next morning and they removed 15 stones. We were very impressed with the staff. My mother took my dog in this morning, and received the worst customer service from the receptionist. How can you diagnose a neurological condition as a receptionist, and without an exam?? We were referred here from friends, and to say that we're upset is an understatement. Had to take our dog out of there, because if the receptionist (who is supposed to be there for customer service) is going to treat my mother like that, how are they going to treat my baby behind closed doors?? We have had wonderful experiences at Rocklin Road. We were lifelong patrons of Loomis Basin but switched to Rocklin Road after a horrible experience at Loomis. Dr. Grunder provided a very compassionate "quality of life" exam for our late dog Mia when we thought she was near the end. When it was finally time, he was able to put her down at our home where she was comfortable. He's also been great with our younger dog who has epilepsy. Highly recommend!Read Less
