Banfield doesn’t even deserve one star. If you love your pet, find another place to go they are only interested in taking your money. They want to sell you their wellness program. I refused their wellness service program. I just wanted lab diagnostics tests ran. I was told by the doctor they do extensive lab tests and send samples to Southern California they would test for everything. I would get a complete readout the results. That seemed fair, just like when humans go to the doctor and get labs ran there are results. At Banfield spending $91.88 the extensive lab diagnostics (none seen) as the results. I like this place. It's good care at a reasonable price. I have seen 2 of the vets there. Both were very good. The vets, techs, and office staff have all been pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. As a Dog Person with a lot of experience, I am usually not a big fan of big box type stores. Especially for something like veterinary care. But I think this place is an exception. The care plan seems to be a good bargain. Read Less

Started taking my puppy Harley here as soon as I got him. As a new dog mom, I didn't know much about puppies and there vaccinations. My first visit went great! I ended up signing up with their wellness plan specifically for puppies. It covers all of his vaccinations, exams, and even his neuter. Today was Harley's third visit to finish up his parvo vaccinations. Every appointment has gone so well and all the staff is great! You can tell they are all passionate about animals. OMG - stay away! The service I received at this location has been troubling. I used this location for the last 5 years. I had a drop off appointment scheduled, I brought my dog in at 8am for the drop off and they told me my dog would be ready around 2-3pm... I ended up calling at 5 pm (because they never called) to ask when he would be ready and they told me 6pm so I headed there for the pickup and ended up having to wait another 2 hours before he was ready. This was a regular exam and there were no issues to cause the delay. I ended up going home at 8 pm and didn't even know if he was fed or had bathroom breaks during the 12 hours he spent . My beloved dog passed away in December at the local banfield clinic. The Banfield wellness program is a joke and I recommend going to a different veterinarian. Read Less

I am pleased with Banfield pet hospital.the staff is  Very friendly and welcoming .I accompanied my daughter last week whose cat was sick and dehydrated . Dr Di Mayo was so knowledgeable and gave my daughter very good advice about care and nutrition.not only  her kitty got better,he now has more energy and got his appetite back!!! OK so, I am a newer cat mom. I have 3 now (Nikko 2.7 years, Dexter 2.5years, and the newest Finn or Finley 8 months) I took Nikko in a few days ago because of him having extreme loose stools for some reason. I had a Vet before but she sold her practice and the new person who took over, I didn't quite like handling my babies. I went into the store to get food and just ask them about my baby having such loose stools and they suggested I bring him in. So the nice girls at the front set me up for an appointment that next day with Dr. Di Mayo and I am so very glad they did. He was so inviting and loving towards Nikko, I could tell he is a Vet because he truly loves animals. His Vet Tech was super friendly and helpful as well (didn't catch her name) They took great care of my baby boy and did the whole nine yards to find that he's in perfect condition and just having stomach issues. They sent me off with some probiotics and antibiotics to treat a possible bacterial thing and asked for me to come back for a follow up in 2 weeks. I joined Banfields monthly payment plan where you get unlimited office visits and yearly blood work and different testing which is great because paying for blood work alone is 188$!! All in all, I highly suggest coming here for your pet. They are flexible, and the staff is AMAZINGLY great. Even the girls at the front desk were very sweet and helpful. I don't know any other Drs that work there, but I suggest going for Dr Di Mayo because he is truly a great choice. I plan of bringing my other two cats to him as well. Danielle M Read Less

I brought my dog Lola to Banfield about 5 months ago. I liked the treatment and the courtesy of the staff. Although Dr Stafford obviously cares about animals her bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. I have been there about 5 times and every time she talks down to me. She intimidates me. She never smiles or has a real conversation. She is cold and every time I was there she berates me for not doing what she feels I need to do. Which I have done. She actually counts off on her fingers my failure to follow her instructions which is not true and says to me, "we have this same conversation every time you come in". I do not appreciate this treatment and will no longer put up with it. I am an grown up adult woman and I don't allow people to talk too me the way she does. She has insisted I buy medicines, $200.00 worth that are not and have not done one bit of good for my dogs dry eyes. The last $59.00 small tube she wrote a prescription for I did not purchase. I took methods into my own hands and treated her eyes the way I saw fit which cost me a few dollars. I will no longer take Lola to Banfield and would not recommend them to anyone. I have been loyal to Banfield for years, even staying with them from relocating half a dozen times over the past 6 years. We even had to put our beloved dog to sleep with Banfield, Santa Cruz, last year. And, after years of paying ($$$!) 2 wellness plans it is unfortunate to give this particular Banfield a poor review.This is my reason why:- Took my dog to this location for gastro issues. He was examined and prescribed antibiotics. Of course, it was "strongly recommended" that he have a million other tests to rule out a zillion other gastro related issues. I declined those and, guess what? He was fine. I gave him his prescribed antibiotics and there were absolutely no other issues.Ok- I get it, they are pushed to "upsale" and I learn to say no, so this is not the real problem. My issue with them is this: as I was waiting to check out, I was informed by a staff member that they offer a 6 month vaccination to protect against heartworm. I asked if my dog could get that since we were there and he needed it. I was told that I would need to come back after his gastro issue was resolved- totally understand! I asked if I came back next week if they could waive the office fee (our wellness plan was not current). If they had told me, no- okay, that's your policy. I was indeed told that , "shouldn't be a problem." The next week, I called back to confirm that waived fee and to make an appointment. I was told they would, "have to check and get back to me." NO return call. Called back again and was put on hold for 20 minutes?! Eventually, someone came to the phone and told me the vet said she absolutely would not waive the fee. Some feedback/comments to the Banfield executives if you are reading this: -Advise your staff to return calls -Be consistent on what you tell customers -Advise staff not to put customers on hold for 20 mins-Know that because of this location, you lost a loyal family Read Less

Vet care is acceptable. .... be warned though they will not call you if your payment dosn't clear. In stead they just bill you randomly till it dose tacking on an extra $10 each time.. also i was told my payments would not start till December when i tried to pay in November. .. turns out i did have a payment due in November witch i got charged extra for in December because it didn't clear twice and was labled late... ( no money in account because i was told no payment was needed) They never even tried to contact me..... I found out about it at my next vet visit when I was making my payment... lost half my grocery money that day.... no attempt to was made to fix thier mistake and no apology was offered. So be prepared for their crappy billing setup ... overall if not for the cost of thier screw up would have been much cheaper then my local vets. Am currently waiting for my newest payment to clear.. was supposed to hit on the 5th........... The banefield in southern California in Temecula was 100 times better... i am hugely disappointed with this one. So watch out! Read Less

I have been reading the reviews and am so glad my experiences have been better then those other people. Dr. Corsi must be new because I have never seen the doctor they are talking about. I have had my 2 chihuahuas on the wellness plan for about a year. I work for another vet in Sonoma county but just can't afford most care where I work, the wellness plan helps me so much because I can pay monthly rather than all at once. It even includes their dentals each year. I have been a veterinary technician for the better part of 26 years, and feel Banffield does care. They have fast exams I'll admit but they are thorough. I really think they are doing a good job there. Maybe it's just because I speak their language I don't know but I am happy there:) Read Less

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PET TO BANFIELD IN ROHNERT PARK. They let my dog die and are charging me a whole year of their ""wellness"" plan. They vet there is the absolute worst ""doctor"" i have ever met. He is demeaning and rude to his nurses. He is mean and rude my dog and me. NEVER GO TO BANFIELD ROHNERT PARK FOR ANYTHING. I had a great experience with other Banfield locations, but this guy, Dr. Kundra Kudlip, is a complete jerk and shouldn't be working with the public or animals. It's not uncommon to receive free vaccinations when you adopt a pet who has not yet received the full batch, so I happily accepted the offer to bring the cat I adopted at Petsmart back to their pet hospital for free followups. The cat was given his first batch of shots free of charge while I waited and I was told just to mention the name of the person I'd adopted him from to have the fee waived on the rest. I thought about asking for this in writing but felt that it would be rude. The following month when I called to make the appointment for the free shots the desk clerk confirmed "yes, we've been doing that". However when I arrived with the cat in tow I was told that I would be charged over $100 for the office visit unless I came back during the hours and days when they waive that. So today I took time off work yet again and packed my cat up and drove him across town. This time, the veterinarian personally refused me saying that they only do free memberships, not shots. As they are not my nearest local vet I would have no use for a membership. It was another completely wasted trip and my cat has still not had his followups. Read Less

I like this place. It's good care at a reasonable price. I have seen 2 of the vets there. Both were very good. The vets, techs, and office staff have all been pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. We even had to put our beloved dog to sleep with Banfield, Santa Cruz, last year. And, after years of paying ($$$!) 2 wellness plans it is unfortunate to give this particular Banfield a poor review.This is my reason why:- Took my dog to this location for gastro issues. I have been reading the reviews and am so glad my experiences have been better then those other people. Dr. Corsi must be new because I have never seen the doctor they are talking about. I have had my 2 chihuahuas on the wellness plan for about a year. I work for another vet in Sonoma county but just can't afford most care where I work, the wellness plan helps me so much because I can pay monthly rather than all at once. It even includes their dentals each year. I have been a veterinary technician for the better part of 26 years, and feel Banffield does care. They have fast exams I'll admit but they are thorough. I really think they are doing a good job there. Maybe it's just because I speak their language I don't know but I am happy there:) Read Less

PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PET TO BANFIELD IN ROHNERT PARK. They let my dog die and are charging me a whole year of their ""wellness"" plan. They vet there is the absolute worst ""doctor"" i have ever met. He is demeaning and rude to his nurses. He is mean and rude my dog and me. NEVER GO TO BANFIELD ROHNERT PARK FOR ANYTHING. I had a great experience with other Banfield locations, but this guy, Dr. Kundra Kudlip, is a complete jerk and shouldn't be working with the public or animals. So please, out of respect for my dead dog and the suffering she went through, don't go to rohnert park banfield. Thank you Read Less

It's not uncommon to receive free vaccinations when you adopt a pet who has not yet received the full batch, so I happily accepted the offer to bring the cat I adopted at Petsmart back to their pet hospital for free followups. The cat was given his first batch of shots free of charge while I waited and I was told just to mention the name of the person I'd adopted him from to have the fee waived on the rest. I thought about asking for this in writing but felt that it would be rude. The following month when I called to make the appointment for the free shots the desk clerk confirmed "yes, we've been doing that". However when I arrived with the cat in tow I was told that I would be charged over $100 for the office visit unless I came back during the hours and days when they waive that. So today I took time off work yet again and packed my cat up and drove him across town. This time, the veterinarian personally refused me saying that they only do free memberships, not shots. As they are not my nearest local vet I would have no use for a membership. It was another completely wasted trip and my cat has still not had his followups. Read Less
