I have been going to Arbor View for 9 years and after the past few months, I have to say that I will be looking for another vet. My border collie was diagnosed with chronic renal disease in August. They handled the blood work, ultrasound and communication with me fine, but I was not pleased with having to wait well over a week for an ultrasound to get more information on her condition. I was told she needed to be on a prescription diet, which I am fine with, but she didn't like the Hill's brand we were given first. My niece is a vet tech in another area and she told me that the food is 100% money back guarantee and to take it back, so I did. These were UNOPENED cans, shouldn't have been an issue. The receptionist told me she couldn't handle returns but her manager would. Then she said she'd "give" me 2 cans of Purina Pro to try. I asked for Royal Canin renal support and she said there was none there. So I asked for a written prescription to get it elsewhere and she said "oh wait, we might have some in back" and miraculously found 2 cans (which my dog loved). At the same visit, they told me a prescription was ready for my border collie. A prescription of prednisone. No way. They said it will make her eat. I am NOT giving my dog steroids to make her eat, so I refused the prescription but felt like I was being chastised for not taking it.Fast forward about a week and I had to bring in my chi/terrier mix for a skin issue. I found that I wasn't "given" anything and then I only had a $10 credit for returning 6 cans of food at over $3 a can. As I waited in the front, a woman came in to return a prescription she'd been given because, like me, she doesn't want to just medicate her dog. The receptionist literally threw up her hands and said "I can't do returns". So the woman went to the managers office where the manager got loud and told her "you come to us because we are the professionals and we know better than you" in a tone that was completely unacceptable. My third incident happened in June when I took a new rescue in for a check up. The rescue had been with us for about 5 days and was quite overweight. As soon as the vet walked in, she exclaimed "WHOA he's fat!" without even greeting me. When he was scratching himself she then said "he has fleas" and had NEVER EVER LOOKED AT HIM UP CLOSE. I was livid. I'm happy to report he's lost over 14 pounds in our care and does not have fleas. However, she prescribed Trifexis for him, which I thought was a good idea since he'd been living outside in a wooded area, but he vomits every month after taking it. Will they take at least the unused pills back? Of course not. So I'm out a ton of money and have a vomiting dog.I just don't feel like the service is the same here at all. I sure do miss Dr. MacDougal. I liked Dr. Early when I saw her once, but overall I'm not confident any longer that my pets are getting treated with love and compassion, and I don't feel like my business is valued. At one time I would have given this vet 5 stars, but now I can't. I'm only giving 2 because of past experience. Read Less
