We have two cats, but have been adopted by a couple of the neighborhood cats since moving into our home. One of these cats was obviously not feeling well last week. His eyes were goopey, he wasn't eating (which is saying a lot, since we have been calling him "Biggie Smalls" due to his ginormous stature-he's a good 20 pounds), and he just stayed in the house sleeping over the weekend. I finally decided to take him to the vet, so I picked one close to home. The doctor was working by himself... No girl at the front desk answering phones or doing trivial projects, just him. He took down my and the cat's information, with a pen and piece of scratch paper, went in back to clean the exam room, then saw us. VERY old school, with no computer or fancy equipment, but the doctor was very gentle with Biggie, and seemed to genuinely care about his health. He gave him a shot of antibiotics, cleaned out his eyes and put some salve in them, have is some antibiotics to take home and told me to call in a few days to tell him how he was doing. I paid the $100 (on a credit card which he actually called in to the company for authorization-(again, no computer)). As I left the office, he made sure to reiterate I be sure to let him know how everything works out. He is a very personable, very reasonably priced vet and I will definitely use his services again!
