I could not have a better group take care of my pets. I have been bringing my cats here for decades now (3 generations). I have nothing negative to say. The entire staff is knowledgeable, professional, compassionate, warm and friendly. They have helped me keep my cats healthy and happy. Everyone who works here from the front desk to the techs and doctor are super awesome, sweet, and truly compassionate people. I always sadly have a budget to crunch when I go in there and with my cat getting up in years I've gotten fairly familiar with all the folks at this clinic. They are always willing to work with what I have in whatever way is possible, while helping my critters feel better. it's an old building butttt the service is great!!! something was wrong with my dogs eye so i called--- they got me right in, prescribed medication, and scheduled a follow-up appointment in ten days... the follow-up appointed was no additional charge!!! and when they referred me to an eye specialist, the dr informed me that if i had any problem getting an appointment to call and they would get one for me!!! Took our family chihuahua in for dry eyes. The vet that saw her took her into the other room to test her tear ducts. Whatever he did caused her to develop a huge lump on her snout which is now going to require surgery with no guarantees. Not going back to them EVER. Read Less

We have been seeing Dr. Morgan at El Camino Vet Hospital for almost 20 years now. I love the way the staff treats my animals and me too! We have moved about 20 miles away from El Camino Vet but never complain about the drive because we know our pet will be cared for. Dr. Zack Morgan and his staff are the best! If they cannot handle the specific issue they refer the "family" to the best specialist known to man! We have a Shi Tsui and she even loves going to see the vet! She has a bad problem with alergies and when all their knowledge was exhausted they referred us to a fabulous Allergiest and Maggie is thriving! At almost 11 years old I am happy to say that I have a very happy loving dog and credit Dr. Morgan and his staff for that. Anyone that is looking for a vet, can feel comfortable with them. The folks here were very professional. I had just adoped Lucy- a lab mix- and took her for one of the free checkups. I had not been here before, and I also wanted Lucy's skin condition to be looked at. They were very friendly and professional! They examined her thoroughly, and gave me the medicines I needed to treat her skin. I like the fact that they have openings on evenings and weekends, as well. The staff is extra courteous and helpful. I noticed my dachshund had been lethargic and had an increase in water consumption so I took him in. The appointment was made pretty promptly and we were seen within 24 hours. The Vet was incredibly nice and was understanding of my financial hardships. Samie (my doxie) was diagnosed with diabetes and needed hydro replenishment. Because I could not afford to have Samie hospitalized so this could occur, they allowed me to come in and be taught how to administer fluids through an IV. Moving forward, I couldn't afford to have Samie's blood sugars regularly tested. They advised me that if I bought the tools needed to do at home monitoring they would show me how to administer the blood sugar test at home. The techs were super helpful. The Vet has been responsive and extra helpful via email and I am so grateful that I am able to help my doxie be in stable and healthy condition despite my financial hardships. Read Less

Loved finding a vet with evening hours and was amazed to get a same day appointment. From the person who I spoke with on the phone...to being checked in...to the vet assistant who took our dog's vital signs...to the doctor....everyone was very professional and very caring. They immediately were able to diagnose what was wrong with our pet, prescribed the proper medicine and put her on the road to health quickly. Our dog is once again happy and healthy. Have not taken our dog in yet but was thrilled to be able to get a same day evening appointment.  Very caring staff over the phone and I anticipate that we will be very pleased.And once we got in, I was just as pleased. I have been taking my cats here for decades (not all the same cats, of course). I have always gotten the best care with incredible compassion from the time I walk in the door to the time I leave. I am surprised at the negative reviews, but also notice they are all surrounded by excellent reviews. I believe we would have lost our 17 1/2 year old some time ago if not for the amazing Doctors here figuring out what ails her. The receptionists, techs, doctors and the owner are all top notch! I can't imagine taking my current 3 cats, or any future  pets anywhere else. Their house cat, Simba is a real sweetie! Read Less

I am so glad I found Dr. Morgan and his staff! I was able to get an appointment next day for my cat who was having and eye/ear issue. The receptionist was super sweet when we got in. The Technician was amazing and luckily my cat didn't try and run from her! And Dr. Morgan listened to my questions and answered everything as well as giving me more information about my cat.  He was very gentle and comforting and extremely professional. My dog was feeling sick for the past couple of days so I decided to bring him in to get looked at, staff was very friendly to me and my four legged son Rocky.  He didn't want to eat before we went to the vet but as soon as we got home he was racing for his dish... Had to take our dog of 15 years in today. We knew this day was coming, but dreaded to have her put down. Ricky at the front desk was great. Dr. Chen examined her and agreed that it was time to have her put down. Dr. Chen was very compassionate and sensitive to our needs. He explained the process from start to finish in great detail. We stayed with her until she fell asleep.The staff was GREAT. If we get another pet in the future, I will absolutely go back to El Camino Vet. The staff made a difficult time for us MUCH easier. Called last minute to make my pup an appointment and they were able to squeeze me in.  The gal on the phone was wonderful and helpful.  Before arriving I was already pleased with the service up to this point.When I arrived the staff was friendly and attentive.  The wait wasn't long.  When we got into the room to see the Vet he was also very friendly and was able to help my pup.  They do a free follow up within 2 weeks of your visit and when we left they gave us a "doggy" bag with flea prevention, toy, cup, bag, and some useful handouts.  I will be bringing my dog here regularly.  Wrigley and I left wagging our tails. I took my puppy there on 11/12/15 and they charged me 100 for the emergency visit and then they charged me another 73 to take the parvo test on him and they said it was negative at that point my baby was already extremely weak and then the girl in the front desk came to say they would refund me some money and only charge me for a normal app after that they took about half an hour if not more to figure out what they can do to help him when they came back they charge was so high that I knew it wasn't so I decided to leave and take him else where he was only getting wors.. I took him to a vet place a few blocks down and they said just by the symptoms and the way the puppy looked they knew it was parvo and that it was too late to try and safe him but they would do the best the plans they gave me were half of what they said here and it was a more extensive plan but unfortunately before I signed my puppy had already passed away....!!!!!!! This hospital has a very welcoming staff, they are always polite and helpful. I can always call them and ask a question whenever I have any concerns without actually coming in. Dr. Morgan is very experienced and he has on many occasions saved me money because I happen to be an overreacting person. He recommends the necessary treatment without pushing the extra expenses by telling me about the options I can do myself at home. I also happened to get Dr. Perry once, who listened to my rambling with no complaints, was very caring and professional. Dr. Perry also had helpful suggestion for dental care, which is never an issue until it's too late, so the advice was definitely a big plus. The vet techs are supportive, enjoy the company of your pet and love what they do, they always handle my cats with love and care. People tend to overlook the techs but trust me they do a lot of work and spend the most time with your pets! My cats have been here for over a year and so far so good! I've asked a ton of questions every time I came in about shots, type/brand of food, litter, deworming, spaying etc. I've also visited them when they used to do emergency visits, back in the day. I'm not going to lie, there are cheaper vet offices out there, but really not by that much. They also offer a free follow up appointment, which is definitely worth mentioning. You can schedule an appointment for free up to 10 days or so later as long as it is for the same issue, to re-examine and check the progress. Read Less

Wow is all I can say about this Dr. Perry! We took our pug to this vet as they are close and got good reviews. Our puppy had some case of kennel cough that he just couldn't shake. The vet had a terrific bedside manner during his evaluation, and instead of recommending x-rays, he suggested a simple treatment for a week to see if my puppy's condition improved. (Contrast this to my typical experience with my old vet where I was routinely guilt-tripped into spending hundreds of dollars on unnecessary exams/procedures.) Dr. Perry also included a follow up visit a week later at no charge. Wow!! A week later, and our little man has a clean bill of health. Last week, our Black Lab of almost 13 years old was in really bad shape. I tried to call her regular veterinarian, but he wouldn't be in in that afternoon. I searched the web and read some reviews and called El Camino Veterinary Hospital, made the appointment for 2 hours later. The front desk person was really nice and explained all the options and prices for us. The veterinarian made a examination and explain all our questions in a very sincere way. Since we didn't want our dog to suffer anymore, we made the option for euthanasia. : ( He also told us that we could say our goodbyes to our sweet Lucy and after the process was done we could stay a little longer in the room with her. The place is clean, the staff is really nice and very accommodating and yesterday we receive a "Thinking of You" card from the staff of El Camino Vet. Hospital. I thought that it was a good reason besides the well care that was given to Lucy to write a review. Thank you very much for your kindness.Read Less

Finding a good veterinary clinic for your pet is a lot like finding a good mechanic's shop for your car.  I began my search by asking friends, co-workers, the guy in line ahead of me at Safeway, who they go to.  I even asked a very nice stranger in scrubs from a VCA clinic while shopping at Target. After that, I took to the Nextdoor app to ask my neighbors whom they use for their animals. I went to Yelp for recent reviews of the businesses in my area and created a list of choices.  Then, I begin making phone calls to find out things like pricing, availability, do we have a language barrier, and how friendly and willing to answer my questions the person answering the phone is.  I had my search narrowed down to three vets within ten miles of my house when I made my first call, which was to El Camino Veterinary Hospital...and I didn't have to make the other calls.  Nioaka was so incredibly friendly, and not the sickeningly-sweet kind of phone-friendliness that makes you want to barf.  The kind of friendly that is genuine, interested and professional.  She gave me straight answers to all my questions, appointment time options, pricing, and hours of business since they were formally a 24 hour emergency clinic.I could not be more thrilled with my experiences with Dr. Chen, Dr. Morgan, and Dr. McQuarry. I've had the pleasure of meeting Liz, Leah, Sara, and Devon in addition to the doctors, and am highly impressed by their team.  Walking in the front door, it was clean, organized, and quieter than "other" places I've been, which have more resembled a horse barn or a petting zoo.Dr. Chen has gone above and beyond what I'd expect from any doctor, reaching out to not only his local medical peers but going online to research possibilities of what could be wrong with our German Shepard after multiple tests came back negative. Due to the entire staff at El Camino Veterinary Hospital my dog is gaining weight and euthanasia is not even a consideration anymore(it was that scary at one point).These people love what they do, and they love their furry patients. My visit was competely unexpected. I had accompanied a friend with her sick pup. He had eaten rat poison. I know this is second hand info but if I owned a pet i can assure you this is where i would bring it for any of my pets needs. They were friendly fast and informative. My friend came a hott mess and left happy and quite confident she would return the next day for her precious Howie just as he was before. And as you would know it she did!
