The best vets! Been going there since it was a tiny office on Auburn Blvd with just Dr Malek. Lots of care & concern. They always have time to squeeze me in. Twice when I've had to put a cat down. Took my dog here to get a second opinion since my dogs regular vet was booked and the other vet we went to could not figure out what was wrong with my dog. The Dr. here figured out what was wrong with my dog in 4minutes just by examining him. We had such a great experience here and now my dog is all better  . We were referred to this place which is like a 20-30 min drive for us. If my dog didn't already have a good veterinarian we would be coming here. Unfortunately our first experience with this veterinary hospital was to have our French Bulldog cremated. We were on our way out of town and after checking on him we realized he had passed away in his sleep. My husband was very upset for this was his best buddy for 13 years. I called Foothill Farms Veterinary Hospital and asked if they did cremation. I talked to a very nice and straightforward receptionist name Regina. When we got there the service was quick and again straightforward no questions asked. They took our pup into the back and quietly we paid our bill they gave their condolences and we were on our way to out-of-town. In the next week we received two sympathy cards. One had our precious Bulldogs footprints on them. That meant a lot to my husband and I that they did that. Thank you for your services Foothill Farms! I came here a few months ago to have my new puppy neutered as my current vet did not have any soon appointments available. They were quick, passionate and provided great customer service and took wonderful care of my puppy.Unfortunately, my elder chihuahua passed away a month ago so I immediately brought her to this office to be cremated. Within a few days, I was sent a beautiful card with her doggy paw prints inside from the staff. I picked up her ashes a week later and they made me a garden stone, imprinted with her paw prints and her name engraved! I was speechless! They go above and beyond and I am so thankful for them. My cat had diabetes and a failing liver. He was near death. They kept him two days in the hospital and he was his old self when he came back. Since then we've started him on insulin and he's doing very well. They saved his life! They have never steered me wrong and I highly recommend them. Read Less

My family and I have been coming to Foothill for many years. The new building is very nice and very clean.A few weeks ago, we unfortunately had to say goodbye to our 16 year old chihuahua. The staff was so nice and sweet during this difficult process. Yesterday we received a card in the mail from the Doctors and staff at Foothill. They even made us her little paw prints! I agree with a recent review. I have been going to this vet for about 10+ years now. Since they moved to their new clinic most of their nice staff has moved on, and their prices have gone up a lot. I miss when they were a humble vet clinic. Although, you will never have to worry about your pets care. They are excellent with animals, very loving and attentive. Our Great Pyrenees was constantly licking his paw, to the point where it was very hot and red. He was also creating hot spots on his rear leg. We went to our "regular" vet who tried to help but did not diagnosis anything, was ineffective and could not see us again for awhile. So we called Foothill Farms. Got in to see the Vet that day, who quickly diagnosed the problem and prescribed a course of treatment that treated the infection and underlying condition. the rpices for visit and tratment were reasonable. The vet answered all our questions during the course of treatment and the office followed up on the care, providing us with a free follow-up visit to make sure all was OK. We have had both dogs and cats and all have been treated well, I've never had a problem getting an appointment or being seen in a reasonable amount of time. Prices are reasonable. I have been going to Foothill Farms Veterinary Hospital for many years. My pets have seen all of the doctors and they are all wonderful. The staff is so welcoming and efficient. Recently my little Swayze had a back injury and his back legs were paralyzed. Dr Daryani was the doctor we saw and I cannon say enough good about her. She was thorough, kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and she took such good care of Swayze. He now has full use of his back legs. Our dogs love FFVH! We have a couple of "special needs"  pups who generally hate going anywhere. After being patients of Dr. Malek , Dr. Clifton and Dr. Noack,  they go bee- bopping in there like they own the place! Everyone stops to say "Hello" and always takes time to give them individual attention. The office manager, front counter staff, techs, boarding help, groomers- EVERYONE is friendly and knowledgeable. With 6 dogs, we have had many visits and have never received anything but professional, compassionate and reasonably priced care.I have recommended FFVH to many, many people. As we all know, Veterinary care is expensive and not many of us have extra money to throw around. One of the best selling points about FFVH is the responsible way they charge for care. On a number of occasions, I have seen Dr. Malek "triage" the waiting room by offering, simple home care options like over the counter meds as an alternative. Example: a dog with a swollen snout from a bee sting. The owner was advised to give Benedryl and was not charged for an office visit. I frequently compare them to "an old Country Vet", and can't count how many times I've heard, "If it was my dog, here's what I would do". You cant get better care than that!! Read Less

Dr Malek is amazing! We have had him throughout the years with 5 dogs. We have always trusted his opinion and he is the perfect mix of attentive care and cost saving measures. I love this place!I've recently moved from Sacramento and I prefer to use a vet that's closest to my home for my two dogs (one is a senior and ones a puppy.)I have used two local vets and I was unhappy with both of them. One of them, while competent, I felt I wasn't getting the best care or straight answers to my questions. The second vet I tried for my puppy seemed to have a flagrant disregard for the precautions I was taking to keep my puppy safe from Parvovirus before fully vaccinated, in addition to not allowing me in the exam room during administration of vaccines (even just to ask questions.)This vet came highly recommended by a close friend and I'm never looking back! Not only did all the techs answer all my questions when I called to ask about pricing, but they were extremely helpful and informative during my visit. It was most appreciated. I haven't had a puppy in several years and some of the things to think about and look for concerning my dog's health are good to be reminded of or discussed with the veterinarian. One thing I also really appreciated about this business is that I showed up 15 minutes prior to my appointment time and my dog was seen at her scheduled time. It's so nice to know that I will have my dog seen at his or her scheduled time, rather than whenever the staff gets around to it, despite my showing up early to fill out any needed paperwork.  At the previous places I brought my dogs I sometimes would not be seen for 10-45 minutes past my scheduled appointment even when showing up early or on time. Furthermore, I really feel that the pricing at this vet is very fair. I've compared it to my previous two vets and they are pretty average with pricing. The staff is super friendly, the facility is absolutely clean and tidy.  I can also tell that they have a lot of structure to their business practices just based on what I observed during my time there.
