I really love my new vet! Great office. Professional staff...and the vet, Dr. Weinberg, is down to earth, knowledgeable, loves animals, and knows her stuff. She goes above and beyond (when possible) to give complimentary bottom trimmings...eye hair trimmings...and nail trimmings!  She is conservative ad doesn't seem to want to order a bunch of unnecessary exams, X-rays, blood work...whatever to take you for your money. It's about the care of pets here...not money. I appreciate that!I'm a firm believer everything happens for a reason and when my last vet misdiagnosed my cat for months (how is it you miss a simple diagnosis and prescribe over $500 dollars in antibiotic medication for a viral condition?!)...I fired him and took my cat to UC Davis, pronto!  Actually, it was his untrained staff who "treated" my cat...I don't think he even likes them, honestly. Simple diagnosis but, because of months of misdiagnosing and mistreating the problem...it took months and lots of money to finally resolve my cat's issue. This followed the probable misdiagnosis (and ultimate euthanasia) of my beloved 10-year old Maltese. If you lose trust with your medical practitioner (pet or human), it's time to move on...I just wish I'd moved on so much sooner. Anyway, I've discovered NVH and Dr. Weinberg, closer to home than UC Davis (5 stars out of 5!) and look forward to building a trusting doctor/client relationship and having my new pup well taken care of and not having me taken for a ton of (unnecessary) money and treatments.Thank you, Dr. Weinberg! So my cats very sick...I on a Sunday, pretty much asking, if I can bring him in, and he's not currently a patient. I know that's a lot to expect, but I was emotional. I am so impressed with this group, and will be using them moving forward! I recently relocated to Sacramento, and adopted a senior dog last month after settling in. As she was a new addition I did not have a local vet established and she promptly managed to crack one of her toenails which ultimately had to be removed. The clinic was so nice and accommodating squeezing me in on a day that they were already busy as she was in too much pain to walk. Dr Kirsch is wonderful. She has cared for Nani from the time she was a baby and has been so gentle and patient with her since she is so skiddish. I have been going to this vet hospital for around 10 years, and have nothing but applause to offer. All of the vets, techs and other staff members have been unfailingly wonderful, warm and welcoming. Dr. Cheng is absolutely the best. My Zoey just loves her and rightfully so, Dr. Cheng saved her life. All the doctors there are just wonderful and they all helped save my Zoey. I drove from Roseville to go to Natomas Vet and if I still lived there I would drive that far. Freddy (my cat) and I just came back from his doctor visit at Natomas veterinary  Hospital and we had a great experience. The staff was very friendly. We had an appointment with Dr. Chang and she was very informative and answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. She was very sweet to Freddy. I can't remember the technician that assisted, sorry, but she was great too. She showed me how to apply the medical ointment on my cat and was very patient. Took our mini dachshund here to get his parvo shot and they gave us a free nail clipping. We left and about 10 minutes later, we noticed his face was broke out in hives. We rushed back and they took immediate care of him, IV and all. He's okay now, but we were very pleased with all the staff, especially DR. Andrea. We feel safe taking out baby there. Read Less

Dr. Chang is by far the BEST bet ever! I've been to a lot of different vets and I have to tell you I've never seen somebody that is so good at what they do and cares not only about your animal bit about your wallet enough to help you get your animal what they need without putting you in foreclosure! Even though I had to spend $4000 on a surgery to help my dog she referred me to another hospital to get it done because she knew it was above and beyond the abilities of the local vet and the results came out amazing and even though I was having a hard time paying for it I could tell that it was absolutely worthwhile and the best option for my dog. Now she's been out of surgery for six months she feels amazing and even though she's 11 years old I can tell I'm going to get a lot more years out of her because of the work of Dr. Chang! We had to come back in today for what looks like a memory tumor and bless her heart instead of rushing to another $3000 surgery she's giving me amazing advice and an alternative option it's going to be a fraction of the cost - making it feasible!!She's very good at what she does as well as her temperament with the animals is amazing as well I highly recommend this vet!!!Also I recommend getting heartgard even though in past years I've never bought into it this year is a particularly bad year for bugs and pests and I can tell that my heartgard $ this year is definitely well warranted. My dogs will never go to another vet office. The staff is hella personable and, of course, knowledgable. I've been with this team since they were at their original location and I'll follow them if (when, really) they move to a bigger space. I love these people so much I've asked their staff to come to my home and dogsit for me. My first visit was great. It was during the week where I had to take time off work. The vet gave my cat plenty of attention and care. A follow up visit was recommended so I scheduled that for a Saturday. I showed up on time but there was no one manning the front desk and 4 others were already waiting around. When the reception staff did finally come out, they immediately started to process the check out people who had been waiting. I waited patiently. When I finally got a turn, the staff checked me in 15 mins after I arrived then came out and told me since I was checked in late and there was only 10 mins left of my appt time, the vet has graciously agreed to quickly exam my cat in the back without allowing me to be there. The staff blamed me for the late check in when it was in fact their fault for overbooking appts for the day and being too busy. They wanted me to pay full price for a half fast check up. I did not agree. I thought I had finally found a great vet only to experience the same disappointment of other vets. They are rushing exams and visits by overbooking to line their pockets. Highly disappointed. If you truly care for your pet, go somewhere else where they don't have shady business practices.Read Less

They are professional yet incredibly affectionate and caring for the animals that they see. I have always appreciated the way they balance their treatment suggestions with consideration for the pet and owner needs. Let me begin by saying we have been a customer of Natomas Veterinary Hospital since 2007. Every time Dr. Kirsh has treated both us and our dog, Roxy, with respect, like family, professional, and always willing to explain in detail, when asked, root causes and practical solutions/treatments. Our dog had skin cancer, which she quickly diagnosed and remedied many years ago. Dr Kirsh and her staff have been exquisite and always "love" on our dog Roxy. Recently Roxy suddenly went into cardiac arrest. I called the vet en route to the hospital before their typical operating hours. Her entire staff was ready within minutes (like two minutes), table and medicine prepped, easy ingress before I arrived, and immediately worked on her upon arrival before business hours. Unfortunately Roxy could not be revived but I sincerely felt the team at Natomas Veterinary Hospital did everything possible to save her. Dr. Kirsh's compassion immediately afterwards and the services she provided to take care of her remains far, far surpassed my expectations, including a grief card signed with personal messages from Dr.Kirsh and the entire staff! I love the doctors at Natomas Veterinary Hospital. The doctors and the staff are amazing and truly care about your animals. We travel back and forth between Hawaii and California with our two dogs and that can be tricky. If you do not cross every "T" and dot every "I" the State of Hawaii wil quarantine your animal at your expense. Natomas Vet knows the drill and we have never had a problem. I'm not going to give out any information about myself but I was a client in the hospital during this guy's visit. The Doctor was very professional and offered ideas for treatment if the owner wanted to go down that route. The client began yelling and screaming at the doctor and soon followed with slamming doors. This guy was nuts and I almost called the police when he was being so violent and aggressive. From what I overheard, the cat had diarea for a few weeks and was otherwise healthy??? As a life long animal lover, vegetarian and animal resuer, I had been utilizing another Pet Hospital for over 20 years. One of my rescued cats, after 12 happy and healthy years, has finally got very sick and can longer take care of itself- grooming could not contain his coat and he developed heavy mats and continued to mess on himself as he's lost all control. His weight plummeted to 7 pounds. With tearful goodbyes from the kids, I took to the business noted above. Prior to going, the call to make the appointment seemed to be a bit odd, with the employee noting the doctor on duty chooses what I understood to be a more ethical way of euthanasia - and more expensive. Fine. The Vet Tech on duty met me in the consultation room and asked me questions on ethics of euthanasia, noting again, that the doctor would prefer that more tests are done prior to moving forward, and did I want to discuss this with the Vet. I said No. 5 minutes later, the Vet comes in and tells me he's not in the habit of killing cats. He's arrogant, condescending and smug. When I tell him I've been rescuing animals for years he tells me he didn't know that. Why should he!!!???? I'm a paying customer looking to put my pet out of it's misery. It's not an easy choice. This Vet was incredibly rude, had zero people skills and freaked out when the half door was hit by my knee when I reached over to get the card of the vet. He said he'd call the police if I do that again. Appalling service. Appalling atmosphere. I have never been so insuted in my life. DON'T USE THIS VET. DON'T USE THIS VET. Read Less
