Your horse can’t show you what’s hurting and what might be wrong with him…But through thermal imaging you will be able to help him to feel better and be that beautiful whole horse you fell in love with. Thermal imaging is Non– Invasive, Safe—No radiation; it is a physiologic imaging with a whole horse diagnosis. It will show soft tissue damage and back pain, hoof balance, laminitis, abscesses, Navicular issues. Thermal imaging detects tendon and ligament injuries before clinical signs are presented as well as muscle atrophy and circulatory disturbance. Integrated Equine Infrared is staffed with a full set of veterinarians, farrier and business manager as well as technicians across the country and through out the world. What this means to you is that one of our qualified technicians will come to you and do the imaging of your horses. (Depending on what particular scan is done, they will take between 12 and 30 images) The time involved to do this will be between 30 to 45 minutes. A few days before you would get a protocol sheet explaining what you need to do with your horse the day before and the day of the scan. You will also be given a horse history form to complete. It is important to follow the protocol sheet so that the very best scan can be accomplished. Once the scan is completed the technician will upload the report for the vet and farrier. The vet and farrier will do the interpretation on the scan, a report is prepared and sent back to you( your trainer and/or your veterinarian).
