Dr. Amin took care of two of my dogs, both with some special needs. He was unusually compassionate, and reasonably priced. In short, he's the best vet I've ever encountered and his support staff is wonderful too. I saw an earlier review that said Avenida Animal Hospital is a hidden jewel and I agree, a diamond for sure!
Thank you to the entire staff, and most importantly Dr. Amin for taking such good care of my babies!

Everyone always has a smile on their face it's just a wonderful comfortable place to go if you're worried about your puppies that are just going there for a bath or shots it's a wonderful place to bring them they feel safe you feel safe and you walk away from their happy the prices are good and wouldn't take my puppy anywhere else.
Honestly there's no way you could go where the entire office everybody there has got a smile on their face General with the puppies all of all ages and is makes you feel good that's all I have to say right now..but there is so much more to say..

My ONLY complaint is that although the vet was very friendly and polite to me, he didn't express much friendliness for my kitten. He handled her correctly and didn't do anything too rough, but he lacked a little compassion as far as giving her shots and her being very nervous.. it would have been nice for me to hear some reassurance from him or for him to show some sympathy for her. Then again, he sees animals all day and is probably very used to the whole nervous kitty thing. I will leave another review after she is spayed!

My ONLY complaint is that although the vet was very friendly and polite to me, he didn't express much friendliness for my kitten. He handled her correctly and didn't do anything too rough, but he lacked a little compassion as far as giving her shots and her being very nervous.. it would have been nice for me to hear some reassurance from him or for him to show some sympathy for her. We've all herd the saying dogs can't have chocolate, but how true is it? A year ago I finally had the opportunity to find out (not that I wanted to). One night before work I decided to make Ghirardelli's famous chocolate chip cookies and set them out on a plate covered with foil so I could grab them on my way out the next day. Morning came and I thought it would be a normal day until I found one plate sitting on the counter and the other broken on the floor with no cookies to be found. Realizing I used a whole batch of chocolate chips I contacted a friend who was a vet tech and she told me to see a vet asap because it was such a rich chocolate. So I rushed him to Dr. Amin as soon as his place opened. They saw me immediately and he was able to come up with a plan to get my dog back to health. I didn't have much money so I broke down into tears and he alreassured me that my dog would be ok. The plan Dr. came up with was extremely affordable and he provided me with an estimate before starting any treatment. They ran blood work and I learned my dog did have toxins in his blood they were able to flush it out and monitor him throughout the day where I got frequent updates. We retested his blood before we left and then went home. The next couple of days they called to see how he was doing. If I had gone elsewhere I would've paid thousands of dollars and probably gotten a lecture on what not to do. Dr is understanding and affordable. We've seen him numerous times since then for vaccines and illnesses. I've actually been able to call and talk to him about new problems since making him our regular vet. I will never take my dog elsewhere. Thanks for saving Thor's life!

I would never take my animals here again. They misdiagnosed our dog and he died. Dr. Amin treated my dog for a "urinary track infection" for 3 consecutive months. The last time we were there, I was told by the vet tech that our dog had not urinated on his own and I would need to wait for the dr to get there before I could take him home. After waiting about 20 minutes, the dr arrived and told me I could take him home. I asked if my dog had urinated and he said "yes." I didn't want to throw the nice vet tech under the bus so I took my dog and left. Knowing he couldn't urinate, we went straight to the hospital where they confirmed his bladder was full and had not been relieved and then proceeded to do tests and tell us he had Prostate Cancer. My family and I were so heartbroken and ended up loosing our beloved Max a month later.

I adopted a puppy with mange and various other related problems. Her mange relapsed after her third set of puppy shots and ALL of my dogs hair fell out. Dr. Amin got her on the road to recovery very quickly and only charged me for her medication (mange can be a very expensive condition to cure). He was just as happy as I was to see her progress and made sure to explain everything about her condition to me (including having me see what the mites look like under the microscope). I have since moved about 20 miles away but will still bring my puppy to Avenida Animal Hospital!

A small hidden jewel of vetenerian. Our dog has allergies and he patiently went through all scenarios, gave us options and pros and cons. Very reasonable b prices does not upcharge or suggest added not needed services. Great place!

Everyone always has a smile on their face it's just a wonderful comfortable place to go if you're worried about your puppies that are just going there for a bath or shots it's a wonderful place to bring them they feel safe you feel safe and you walk away from their happy the prices are good and wouldn't take my puppy anywhere else.
Honestly there's no way you could go where the entire office everybody there has got a smile on their face General with the puppies all of all ages and is makes you feel good that's all I have to say right now..but there is so much more to say..

My ONLY complaint is that although the vet was very friendly and polite to me, he didn't express much friendliness for my kitten. He handled her correctly and didn't do anything too rough, but he lacked a little compassion as far as giving her shots and her being very nervous.. it would have been nice for me to hear some reassurance from him or for him to show some sympathy for her. Then again, he sees animals all day and is probably very used to the whole nervous kitty thing. I will leave another review after she is spayed!

My ONLY complaint is that although the vet was very friendly and polite to me, he didn't express much friendliness for my kitten. We've all herd the saying dogs can't have chocolate, but how true is it? A year ago I finally had the opportunity to find out (not that I wanted to). One night before work I decided to make Ghirardelli's famous chocolate chip cookies and set them out on a plate covered with foil so I could grab them on my way out the next day. Morning came and I thought it would be a normal day until I found one plate sitting on the counter and the other broken on the floor with no cookies to be found. Realizing I used a whole batch of chocolate chips I contacted a friend who was a vet tech and she told me to see a vet asap because it was such a rich chocolate. So I rushed him to Dr. Amin as soon as his place opened. They saw me immediately and he was able to come up with a plan to get my dog back to health. I didn't have much money so I broke down into tears and he alreassured me that my dog would be ok. The plan Dr. came up with was extremely affordable and he provided me with an estimate before starting any treatment. They ran blood work and I learned my dog did have toxins in his blood they were able to flush it out and monitor him throughout the day where I got frequent updates. We retested his blood before we left and then went home. The next couple of days they called to see how he was doing. If I had gone elsewhere I would've paid thousands of dollars and probably gotten a lecture on what not to do. Dr is understanding and affordable. We've seen him numerous times since then for vaccines and illnesses. I've actually been able to call and talk to him about new problems since making him our regular vet. I will never take my dog elsewhere. Thanks for saving Thor's life!

I would never take my animals here again. They misdiagnosed our dog and he died. Dr. Amin treated my dog for a "urinary track infection" for 3 consecutive months. The last time we were there, I was told by the vet tech that our dog had not urinated on his own and I would need to wait for the dr to get there before I could take him home. After waiting about 20 minutes, the dr arrived and told me I could take him home. I asked if my dog had urinated and he said "yes." I didn't want to throw the nice vet tech under the bus so I took my dog and left. Knowing he couldn't urinate, we went straight to the hospital where they confirmed his bladder was full and had not been relieved and then proceeded to do tests and tell us he had Prostate Cancer. My family and I were so heartbroken and ended up loosing our beloved Max a month later.

I adopted a puppy with mange and various other related problems. Her mange relapsed after her third set of puppy shots and ALL of my dogs hair fell out. Dr. Amin got her on the road to recovery very quickly and only charged me for her medication (mange can be a very expensive condition to cure). He was just as happy as I was to see her progress and made sure to explain everything about her condition to me (including having me see what the mites look like under the microscope). I have since moved about 20 miles away but will still bring my puppy to Avenida Animal Hospital!
