Er4Pets

San Diego, California
General Info
ER4PETS (San Diego) views the entire physical location as part of its practice. The positioning of lights, the distribution of scents, and the floor texture combine forces to send a message. The design-first model sets the new standard for calm care services offered throughout California. Prior to testing, animals are afforded ample time while walking along the path to ascertain directional control as they sample scent cues. Architectural design of living spaces does not include geometrical symmetry patterns (to prevent pets from getting stuck in corners). Staff use angled body positioning to avoid a direct frontal approach, which would engage the senses. Temperature zones help progression because entry is cool but examination rooms are warm. ER4PETS provides multi-tiered services of mobility tracking long-term inflammation detection early neurological screening organ vitality testing surgical consultation and dental staging. The transitions between the technological system and veterinary service, as well as between rooms, are indirect on purpose. Initial regulation comes before the tool. The procedure is activated only when the respiratory pattern is consistent and blinking rates decrease. In order to reduce rebound stress, the at-home guides present the following: spatial decompression zones (preparation kits that involve more than one sense); and walking patterns with the least amount of friction. Medical attention goes beyond the clinic, into homes where those same clinic subtleties speak to every caring heart. ER4PETS offers a clinical setup for San Diego, California pet owners where treatment areas act as interconnected parts of patient care ensuring smooth and stress-free transitions while all elements work harmoniously to stabilize pets without rushing. The team provides specialized services, which include Boarding, In-House Pharmacy, Oncology, Orthopedic Surgery, and Pet Euthanasia. Clients consistently applaud the practice for its dedication and personalized approach to pets’ needs. The clinic guarantees high-quality care for everything from routine procedures to intricate surgeries, ensuring that your pet is comfortable and well looked after.

Never coming here again. I do not trust this facility. I myself work at a vet clinic and brought my dog here after I got home from work as she was in extreme pain and lethargic. They diagnosed her correctly with arthritis. I weighed my dog at my clinic in February because she got a dental and a lipoma removed, she weighed 17lbs. at that time. When I took her here they weighed her at 23lbs!! I was in such disbelief that I took her back to the clinic that I work at the next day for a 2nd opinion. She weighs 16lbs!!! This clinic gave me some NSAIDs and because they weighed her wrong they gave her too high of a dosage. If I didn’t know, they could’ve done some serious damage to my dog!! If they can’t even perform a simple task as to weighing a dog correctly, they shouldn’t even be in business. Read Less

If my pet needs surgery, or has an emergency off hours, I'm thankful for this place and doctor. I brought my 14 year old lethargic cat in after hours as an emergency. It was very emotional for me. I had to experience some things that were not fun during this process, including hints that she had kidney failure, something I'm well family with, it was a terrible emotional trigger for me. They don't let you stay with your pet or visit it in the hospital. (My vet hospital in northern California always let loved ones stay with and visit their pets, even in their icu, so this was hard). Leaving her there was horrible. Plus it was expensive. And while the doctor seems very detached, almost callous, that's a trait I want from any surgeon (detached). And the bottom line is, they fixed up my baby who was feeling much better 24 hours later after a 7 hour stay in intensive care. I can only be grateful for the care, and that things broke our way this time. Read Less

I can always get in to have my dogs seen no matter what!  I have never seen this before.  She is very accommodating and available for her patients.  She provides a personal touch to vet care in a world where continuity with our animals healthcare is rarely seen.  Additionally, vet care at ER4Pets is very competitive.  You will not have to give up your first born or mortgage out your home, in order to get the care your pets need. I highly recommend, 1 1/2 years ago unfortunately are puppy English bulldog fell and fractured his elbow we took him to a different vet and they said they couldn't do surgery until 4 days later, which is terrible when your puppy is crying and in pain. I have been to this establishment twice. The first time was mediocre care at a fairly high price. Granted some other places will charge more, but their services are so much better that there is no comparison dollar for dollar. You walk into their reception area and you see boxes for pet ashes. And from the treatment my pet received, I can understand why they have a large supply. I have filed a complaint with the state board, and I don't plan to stop there. Dr. Jones and her staff are completely uneducated and modern veterinary medicine. Don't waste your time or money. Our fur babies are way too precious to receive this type of care.Second attempt to update after vet comments:My pet is on a complete anti-seizure regimen of prescription and natural remedies. Vet released my pet while still blind from seizures. A negligent decision either based on incompetence or lack of actually evaluating my pet prior to discharge. I told tech at that time she would seize again. She responded with a shrug of her shoulders and said "she's being released".  My pet seized only moments later.  At that time my bill was paid in full. I readmitted her with the agreement she would be given a  specific anti-seizure IV protocol. That protocol was not followed. I went to pick her up after calling to find vet was merely giving her the pills I had dropped off not agreed upon IV meds. At THAT time, I refused to pay for additional services since vet had not done the agreed treatment. She ignored me for over an hour. Keep in mind by ignoring me for over an hour my pet was not getting the treatment she desperately needed. At that time I did call the police on speaker phone to try to get their attention as everybody was in the back acting like I wasn't out front waiting for my pet. She would not release her without me paying the additional $300 on top of what I had already paid. She discounted that portion by 50%. So I paid $150 for her to sit with my dog for two hours and give her the medication that I had dropped off and not the agreed upon protocol. Read Less

I don't even know where to start when reviewing this unprofessional, money hungry "business". All animals deserve quality and compassionate care, and your pet will not receive that here. I brought my dog in recently because he was showing signs of gastro upset. He was restless, having some diarrhea, but luckily no vomiting. We arrived and were asked to step into a room. The vet looked at his eyes and ears and then began a service quote. She seemed uncaring and was already preparing to gouge me. I am a long time pet owner and I totally get that ER Vets are understandably more expensive. Anyway, she runs a quote of $250-500 for the visit, X-rays, and possible blood work. They then take my frightened dog and would not bring him back to me for over an hour. They told me to sit on an old dirty couch while I waited for him. I could hear him crying for over 40 minutes, which was extremely stressful as an owner. We finally looked at the X-rays and she tells me she doesn't see any signs of bloat, but that he needs over 12 hours of IV fluids. I DON'T THINK SO! I definitely already had my mind made up that my dog was not spending another second in their "care". She then gives me a quote for over $1000 and as soon as I declined she was even more uncaring and nasty. I said no thank you, I would like my dog back, because they still would not bring him back to me. I indicated that I planned on seeing our regular vet in the morning (which was only 6 hours away from opening). She then told me I should stay up with him all night or he was going to die, and was just trying to scare me into paying for fluids and other things, I knew better. I finally got my dog back, but while in the back he fell in his poop so they had to clean him off. UNACCEPTABLE! He should have been in the back for no more than 15 to 20 minutes tops for the TWO X-rays. The next morning I took him into my regular vet and he is already on the mend and doing very well. He needed some meds, subcutaneous fluids, and a bland diet to get his stomach back on track. NEVER AGAIN will I go back, and I will let everyone know to stay away from this awful place. Read Less

She looked over my baby, found an issue and kept my cat over night. She explained what they were going to do and said she'd call when she got the test results back. Not two hours later she called and explained my cat has liver disease and what she was doing to treat it. She was so understanding of my constant calling to get updates. When I picked my baby cat up, I explained my concerns about her feeding schedule and Dr. Jones said they would board her during the day to keep her on track with her treatments. Dr. Jones and the entire staff at ER for pets is fa ntastic! The only emergency vet I will trust in the San Diego area. We brought our young Siberian Husky in for a sudden severe onset of lethargy and vomiting. Not only did they figure out what was wrong with our puppy, they diagnosed a chronic condition that several vets before them had missed even though we kept bringing it to other vets attention that something was always off with his weight/energy/immune system. They are incredibly supportive and you feel that the genuinely care about your pets well-being. I'm an extremely paranoid pup parent after some bad experiences, and I felt totally comfortable leaving him in their care overnight in intensive care. Despite Prizmo's separation anxiety they did everything they could to make him comfortable and he was in as little distress as possible when we picked him up. Thank you Dr. Jones and staff!Read Less

Really friendly front office staff. I had an accident and required a service dog. I found the perfect one and with the help of local programs trained her ect... last thing get her fixed. I used a local service that states they offer the service at a discount. This place doesn't. Their discount service is more expensive than most regular prices vet centers. In addition the cost for post comfort care meds x 3 more expensive. You have to shell out or watch your loved one suffer. Also the vet is so busy it appears forgot to take updated training's, she preformed the service using 1960 style methods, placed a ton of metal in my service dog limiting her ability to preform tasks she was trained for.adding to my dogs suffering she the vet placed metal twist ties as closures (after my report she was a calm mellow dog) within days of the foul surgery the metal ties got caught on a rug. When I, called the vet to report the issue and how much pain she appeared to be in. The vet started laughing. Wow.A few other things to share. I was denied access to my dog post surgery? Later saw the surgical area was filthy. I was told there were complications refused to tell me what. Per another vet, my dog appeared to be receive poor post op care that's all he was willing to say at the moment the xrays told the a really sad story. If you are really excited about great front office service this is your place if your into paying more than the average vet this is your place if your not concerned about quality if care this is your place. I took my cat here about a year ago when she stopped eating for 2 days and was seen by Dr. Jones. I had been here before with a male vet who was wonderful. Dr. Jones NOT WONDERFUL! I was frantic that my cat might have eaten rat poison or a toxic plant. I wanted blood work done. She pulled up a list of tests up on the computer screen and there were a ton of tests on the screen that were not relevant. I asked if she could just put up just what was going to be done, like last time (the tech, Jackie, did this last time - love her). Dr. Jones said "we will just zero out the other stuff". It was just too much to sift through and make sense of in my frantic state of concern. I asked her again and she was unwilling to limit the list. She took my cat back to get the blood. She came back and said she was being difficult and they wanted permission to sedate her. I looked up another place in my phone and called them (AEC at Poway & Carriage) took my cat back from ER4Pets and went over to AEC. While I waited for AEC to take my cat to the back I realized ER4Pets had shaved my cats neck. AEC said they never have to shave or sedate cats to get blood. They simply wet the area with alcohol which gets the fur to separate out of the way. AEC got the blood sample in literally 45 seconds. I was discussing my experience at ER4Pets with AEC and I was told that Dr. Diana Jones used to work there and was asked to leave. I just ran into a woman today (Nov '14) at the grocery store looking at cat food. She said that Dr. Jones told her that feeding your cat wet food was bad because it causes diarrhea. That you should only feed your cat dry food. Cat food does not cause diarrhea unless there is an underlying intestinal issue or you change foods too quickly. Further, cats are obligate carnivores. They do not need nor can utilize the carbs in dry food. Also cats heritage traces back to Egypt where there is little water. Cats still today do not have a huge thirst instinct, so to feed your pet just dry food slowly dehydrates them. Considering most cats die of Kidney disease, dry food only just makes that condition worse. So for a veterinarian to advocate for just dry food for a cat that has had no issues or complications is ridiculous. Please think long and hard about receiving treatment from Dr. Jones. AEC is so close, go there and be assured of complete accurate care for your beloved pet. There are several on Poway road also to choose from. BTW - I am in no way associated with AEC. I am just a customer whom has received exceptional service at every visit!Read Less

Read Less
