We love this pet clinic! We have two large dogs. One who is well behaved at the vet, one who is not... AT ALL! They are all so patient with our German Sheppard who has a big fear of the vet. They are always able to brainstorm and figure out a way to get her the shots she needs to put her allergies at bay. Dr. Lee actually explains everything going on so that you fully understand (hand drawn pictures sometimes included). He has taught us a lot! The staff is also so nice! Brought my 4yr old cat in today because he seemed a little off to me, Dr Lee did an exam, explained everything to me thoroughly, gave me different options to treat the problems that he was having.Nothing was pushed on me, that was really nice. I brought my dog in for a general check up and they suggested an in clinic treatment so I agreed and immediately my dog lost use of her legs and had a severe seizure after 3 hours of holding my dog looking for any improvement. I asked Doctor Lee what he thought caused the terrible reaction, he and I assume his wife just said I don't know take her to the emergency hospital it's not our problem.Read Less

I love Dr. Lee and his staff. We have been going there for about 8 years and always know we are in good hands. Trust me, I have worked in several veterinary offices in San Diego where their motto is to sell sell, and Dr. lee genuinely cares for animals and will work with your income to get them the best possible care. I have never felt anything was forced on me or guilted into treatment for my pets. Even the compassion we felt when I had to put down my dog which was the hardest decision to make, Dr.Lee, Courtney and Darmella were right there to comfort my Bruno as he took his last breath. Always available, options presented and good detailed explanations. Great personnel! I have been taking my animals to Dr. Lee for many years and I have always had complete satisfaction. He has helped with euthanasias and helped with my new animals I have brought home. He does call backs after the work day to see how my animals are doing since the exam a few days prior. I have been using Dr. Lee for 5 years. I am not sure what the 1 star reviews are all about. Dr. Lee always gives us treatment options. Usually three diffrent ways to get to the result. Because as he will say, some people are on a budget. Some people treat there pets like family, and some people don't. He has done laser eye surgery for cherry eyes on both of my English Bulldogs, and there eyes have been perfect ever sence. In the 5 years I have been going, I have never felt ripped off or mistreated. Me and my wife jokingly refer to Dr. Lee as the Mad scientist, but he really is an amazing vet. Read Less

Dr. Lee took the time to thoroughly examine my dog, drew pictures to help with explanation & understanding, and gave me options for treatment, with out judging. While I thought her tumor was most important, Dr. Lee explained that a few of her teeth were possibly infected, more important than her tumor, which was most likely benign & not a serious problem except for her chewing on it. Her ear infection was also a big problem, and he showed me with a scope that I could see, so I knew it was real, and not being exaggerated. The facility was very clean and the people were nice. I brought in my Rat terrier mix to have his double cherry eye lasered. It's really the only option that seemed like a good idea. He explained it to me that they make a pocket in the protruding gland, clamp the interior excess tissue, then remove that interior part - keeping most of the tear producing tissue intact. When I picked him up in the afternoon he was perfectly fine, with normal looking eyes! They sent him home with antibiotics and eye ointment. All of this for a little over 500 dollars. I have to admit, the other reviews here can raise some concern, but I can only review based on my own experience. My little girl Penelope came down with cherry eye, a condition in which the some gland, I believe the tear producing gland, becomes swollen and protrudes from the eye socket. When we went home to research the subject, we found that there was one other alternative, a laser procedure which removes part of the gland, therefore returning it to normal size and then sewin' it up so it stays put. Better yet, this procedure was much more affordable then the ones that don't work. Sound to good to be true? Well, it's not. Besides being affordable and effective, Dr Lee was pretty awesome. He understood that we were concerned, explained the entire procedure, it's risks, and it's costs up front. We dropped her off early in the morning and picked her up that afternoon. She stayed there longer than she had to because we were at work, and we weren't charged for the stay. The rest of the staff were friendly and ready to answer any questions we had. I did my research and brought my 8 yr old Lhasa to get his laser surgery done for the cherry eye. Dr. Lee was awesome! He got his teeth cleaned, a teeth pulled, ear flush, annual shots, body check and the surgery with medication for under $1K. My lhasa recovered within a few days and the cherry eye problem is gone! I have to say that the clinic itself is not fancy like some vets I've been to that charges $80 just for a visit, but it is well kept and pretty clean for the reasonable amount that Dr. Lee's clinic offer. Overall, one of the best vet I've found and am glad I took my lhasa there for his surgery! Read Less

This vet is right down the street from my house...Weve been taking my little man (Lover, a miniature pinscher) here for at least 4 years now...Ive brought him here for everything from a tick (it was disgusting) to an ear infection to a normal check up. The receptionists are generally helpful and Ive never questioned the Dr.'s recommendations but Ive also never felt like they are 100% concerned interested in me as a person and my dog. I really just feel like a plain and simple customer. But so far, everything my dog has been in there for has been taken care of so I really cant complain. That little man means the world to me so as long as he is still wagging his stub of a tail and jumping around, Im happy. Side note: If you decide to check this place out, consider yourself warned about the entrance to the parking lot of the little strip mall its in. If you are driving west from santee, it will be easy to just pull into the driveway but if you are coming from any other direction you need to park in an adjacent parking lot (they are right next to eachother, but you cant drive through these two parking lots) and walk over or do what I normally do and forget about it everytime, remember at the last min and have to drive all the way down the road and make a u-turn. I think Dr. Lee is an amazing Dr. I have been to about 5 different vets in San Diego and he is the only one that I have been to that cares about the animals and does not try to push things on you in an attempt to make a quick buck. I read that someone said he only cares about money.. FALSE!!! whenever your dog or cat needs something, he gives you different options. He has NEVER tried to push anything on me. Someone commented that Dr. Lee drove up in an expensive sports car? This chick must be on something. I have been going to MGAH for years that statement is false, not that what he drives should even matter. On that note, everything this chick said is outrageous. There may be a wait from time to time, but it is important to understand that it is a single vet hospital and a person can only do so much. finally, someone commented on the hospitals appearance... really?? what a snob! why dont you go to some over priced vet where all they want is your money and you will be able to sit in a fancy waiting room. On a final note, Dr. Lee is a very caring vet and if you want to go to a vet where you feel comfortable and not overcharged, you should go to Mission Gorge Animal Hospital. Read Less
