If I could give Market Street Vet ZERO stars, I would. I've taken both of my dogs to Market Street for the past 3 years... I have spent thousands in vet visits, appointments, medication... only to be treated like dirt. I brought my 1 year old puppy in because she had a lump on her leg. First they told me they would do a biopsy. The service actually provided was a FNA (Fine Need Aspiration) - despite telling us they were doing a biopsy. I paid $190 for a FNA, which is really high compared to other vet clinics, but I trusted Market Street, so I just paid it. We waited 4 days for our results, and had to call in numerous times to even get an update. Every time I called in I was told a different story.. the results weren't in yet, or they were but the vet was busy. No one seemed like they knew what was going on. Finally the vet called back and the only thing she could tell us was the test was inconclusive due to an inadequate sample. We paid $190 for a test that can't even provide a "yes" or a "no". We were told we would have to pay to have it done again, or pay to have it removed (which would be significantly more in cost). So basically, we paid $190 for a service - got NO results due to an inadequate sample, and were told we would have to pay it again if we wanted any answers. (And that wasn't even a guarantee). I have never been treated so poor ever. From day one, I knew Market Street was a more expensive vet, but I didn't mind because I love my dogs, and I trusted that Market Street was a knowledgeable facility. But to spend $190 for "we don't know" and be told the only option is to just pay them more?!?! It's ridiculous. So now we are looking up new vets and will have to pay to start the process all over somewhere else. Read Less

I took my tortie Little Cuties to her first vet visit with me! I was a little flustered because I'd ridden nearly a half hour on the bus with a friend who accompanied us and was hoping Little Cuties wouldn't completely freak out. This is my first time owning a pet and I had a lot of questions right off the bat once we finally reached the clinic. Everywhere from the receptionists to the nurse to the vet who all helped me, I was just really impressed with their friendliness and professionalism. They were very gentle with my cat. Their prices are fair although I have nothing to compare them to. I would recommend this place to anyone. Fo' sho! :) Read Less

Market Street Vet has been our go-to vet clinic for the past 4 years. We've taken our 3 dogs here for everything from routine physicals, vaccines, illnesses, and first exam for our new kitten. Market Street front desk, doctor's and staff are always kind, prompt and treat our pets with great care. The front desk is always helpful and even preps our insurance forms and sends for us when requested- such a big help! When we brought our sweet 15 year old Chow Chow here on his final day the doctors were kind and let us spend as much time with him as we liked. We were thankful he was in such good hands and went peacefully. When a new vet clinic opened up a couple of blocks from our house that we thought would be more convenient we started going there but went right back to Market Street once we realized that their service and care couldn't be beat. We appreciate the high quality care our babies get here and we've never felt they've tried to over charge or force additional treatment or meds. Highly recommend! Read Less

Good Marketing goes along way. I'd like to think that doing the right thing, putting your patients first is more cost effective then good marketing. Does anyone ever like to feel cheated? That is how I feel, cheated! VCA Market Street Animal Hospital has decided to treat me and my pup the wrong way. I have taken my dog there twice to check on bumps that I feel have something to do with her behavior when she is in pain. Both visits were mediocre exams and not thorough. My dog is still dealing with similar symptoms. If you really care about my pet, be concise, because guess what? I sure do. No dog is alike and you can't treat us like a number. My dog doesn't allow me to touch some of these bumps. I have yet to know what is wrong. For those dogs that do get to go see a Vet, it is a privilege. Not a privilege taking lightly. There needs to be regulation with this Veterinary Clinic. Patients shouldn't be charged extra in order to exam the same thing over and over again. There needs to be more compassion and proper response with patients. If this were my child I would immediately contact consumer board, I would file a complaint and I would seek a legal help if there were no solution. Guess what, this is my furry child and I will see to it that I never feel cheated again!!!Read Less

I'm a worrier and my Jack is a biter (when he's nervous), yet they've always been super patient, thorough, and professional. I also feel very secure in the doc's diagnosis and instructions. I recently had to go through all of the stressful steps of getting Jack imported to Hawaii and the staff at VCA Market St. was awesome. In the process, I noticed a typo on some paperwork I had to overnight....it had to be overnighted right then, so I called them (crying) and they drove a corrected form to me at the postal annex.
