I have been taking my pets to this Vetco facility for approximately 3 years now. The reason I changed from my previous Veterinarian was the feeling that I and my pets were only a number and a paycheck. I never got a warm feeling that anyone really cared about the animals anxiety, they must be feeling in a strange place, with strangers and strange noises. Visiting Vetco on Clairemont Dr. and Dr. John Kottenstette is a whole different experience, his staff is friendly, personal and professional. I have been to a lot of veterinary's in my past and Dr. John Kottenstette seems to be the most interested in the well being of my pets. Not to take anything away from the entire staff at this veterinary, everyone there seems to be very professional and dedicated towards making the experience comfortable for the pets. Up front Wendy always remembers my name, when I come through the door. Jordan remembers my name and my pets names, who incidentally, love to go see Jordan. Sam is new too the staff and seems to be fitting in with the same friendly attitude, my experience with Alex has been professional and friendly. When I take the cat carrier out of the closet, my cats climb right in because they know where they are going. That may be stretching it, but they do not have anxiety when I put them in, because they are not nervous about going to this veterinary clinic. Thank you Dr. John and all your staff.Read Less

I found their website online of course, which advertises to save up to 70% off. Don't believe it. The advertised $40 per healthy indoor cat vaccinations, became $65 as soon as I got there. They claimed that the special price is only for Vetco clinics, not Vetco hospital. REALLY? **the web progression and deception starts when you search them and click on Vetco hospitals, the link takes you to several locations, I clicked on Clairmont, scrolled down and found the specials.....Only in clinics my #$#. They lie and know it. Their ad is a lie, and they know it. The also try to sell other services which are badly overpriced. Avoid this place at all costs. I wish I had. I will be sending screen shots of the misleading web information to my credit card company, along with a copy to the state attorney generals office for deceptive trade practices. Can you tell I am mad? The people that work there are nice. They are stuck in my opinion between a rock and a hard place. Read Less
