The people here are heartless. They cancelled on me because I was 10 minutes late upon arrival, then rescheduled and cancelled on me again because I voiced my feelings of disappointment and frustration with my experience. Zero communication that there was a policy for a 10 min or F U policy. It was my first appointment and NEVER told in any communication about their policy. Also, accidents happen with a brand new puppy, and I was trying to get a fresh sample for them bc he had to poo! That is the only reason I was tardy. It's impossible to book anywhere right now bc of the pandemic and they acknowledged this and still cancelled on me twice. Such a total lack of empathy! DO NOT GO HERE! Also the lady from Jersey, what a complete toxic woman. I'll spare the details, but it was incredibly unpleasant. No people skills. Must be why these folks landed in the industry.

Irving Pet is the best! Our dog becomes very anxious as we park in front of any veterinary or pet groomers. Dr. Fong, Dr. Lau, and staff have an excellent handle and gentle approach to set Bubba and his pet parents at ease.
We commute from Hayward, so it is not easy to go for emergencies. We've emailed Dr. Fong in the past and he is very quick to respond! He has helped us out in the pinch and referred us to a local vet hospital for emergencies. He's definitely worth the trip.
Definitely recommend Irving Pet Hospital.

I never feel pressured to do any sort of treatment or anything like I've experienced at other vets. I would highly recommend them if you're looking for a new vet.

I took my aging cat here, after I moved to town. Dr. Fong showed great care and explained everything we could do for him. I am very happy to continue to use this vet for my two aging cats. The services are reasonably priced. Labs are expensive, but that is true across the country. I didn't find this vet to be more expensive that my vet back in North Carolina, although everything in San Francisco is usually pricier.

I originally go to SPCA but seem they charge me over price for the surgery so I decided to call one more place and I made such good decision. Irving Pet Hospital's bill was 1/3 of SPCA's estimate.

Irving Pet Hospital has been our dog Coco's veterinary care provider since we brought her home from Animal Care and Control in October 2014. Dr. Sepp, Dr. deVincenzi, and all of the vet techs have been great, from everything to routine checks to bloodwork to standard dog dilemmas to regular dental care. IPH also referred us to Aggie Animal Dental Center for some specialist dental work. All turned out to be fine, and we were especially grateful they took Coco's well-being so seriously. IPH has always offered us calm, reasonable, and caring advice. I enthusiastically recommend IPH to any pet owner in San Francisco.

In the lead up to our appointment, they patiently answered any questions I had over the phone. On the day of the actual visit, they were thorough and informative. Very high quality, and it's obvious how much they truly care.

Well, it was worth a try. I have been on a massive quest to find the right veterinary facility that won't push medications and unnecessary charges and this place does both. For my pup's first appointment the staff seemed nice and welcome. They were excited to see him and were honest enough about the shots (although they pushed the bordetella vaccine quite a bit, which we opted out of since we don't plan on boarding anytime soon). We visited with Dr. Fong and he seemed nice and happy to see our pup too. Today turned into the usual bad vet experience. They charged $40 just for the checkup even though the pup is perfectly healthy, but I accept because it's the vet. I asked for a fresh sample of Nexguard (a flea pill) because I told them I gave the one sample to my parents to try on their dog since he has fleas (and let them know about this place thinking they're good), they said no problem and gave me the second sample. They get the pup back to us, tell us his shot didn't go great, take a while with the bill, and that's because I find out they're spending that time trying to figure out how to charge me for the free sample?! I got back to the office to check the email receipt with the charge. So I call and ask thinking it can be cleared up easily and after waiting a long time on the phone they tell me because I gave the sample to my parents' dog that I don't get anymore and get charged instead, which was never mentioned in the office. So they tell me it's a free sample, they never mention a charge for the free sample, and they go ahead and add the charge on after my approval in the vet office. I ask if I can then return it because I wasn't interested in committing to a flea medication that I don't even know if it works. They said since it's medication no refunds. So I was charged $24 dollars for one free sample pill of some flea medication on top of my vet bill. Not appreciated. If anyone knows of a good veterinarian that doesn't push pills and bills please let me know. I am continuing my quest to find the right place.

IPH is absolutely wonderful. The vets and technicians worked with me and my husband last year when we had to put down our two 13 year old cats, showing us the support we desperately needed. They continue to work with us on our two new adopted cats. Extra shout out to Dr. Sepp and Wong for always being cheerful in a facility that I'm sure is hard to work in. The technicians and front desk staff are always both kind and professional. I can't imagine running a pet hospital is always fun, but these ppl make what generally feels like a bad thing into a tolerable one.

I can't say enough about they care that Dr. Fong and the staff at IPH has taken with our animals. We have 1 cat and 2 dogs. They love Dr. Fong. It is clear that everyone at this hospital is an animal lover. They take great care to make sure that you are not being over charged by walking you through the charges and giving their personal opinions on how to handle cost and care. One of the best things about going into the office is seeing ALL of the patients up on the wall with their own framed portraits. (We just submitted 3 of ours) They care. I will use and recommend them from here on out.

Everyone at Irving Pet Hospital is friendly, professional, and helpful. My pup gets really nervous at the vet, and they always help her relax and are super gentle with her in the back. I never feel pressured to do any sort of treatment or anything like I've experienced at other vets. I would highly recommend them if you're looking for a new vet.

I took my aging cat here, after I moved to town. Dr. Fong showed great care and explained everything we could do for him. I am very happy to continue to use this vet for my two aging cats. The services are reasonably priced. Labs are expensive, but that is true across the country. I didn't find this vet to be more expensive that my vet back in North Carolina, although everything in San Francisco is usually pricier.

I originally go to SPCA but seem they charge me over price for the surgery so I decided to call one more place and I made such good decision. Irving Pet Hospital's bill was 1/3 of SPCA's estimate.

Irving Pet Hospital has been our dog Coco's veterinary care provider since we brought her home from Animal Care and Control in October 2014. Dr. Sepp, Dr. deVincenzi, and all of the vet techs have been great, from everything to routine checks to bloodwork to standard dog dilemmas to regular dental care. IPH also referred us to Aggie Animal Dental Center for some specialist dental work. All turned out to be fine, and we were especially grateful they took Coco's well-being so seriously. IPH has always offered us calm, reasonable, and caring advice. I enthusiastically recommend IPH to any pet owner in San Francisco.

In the lead up to our appointment, they patiently answered any questions I had over the phone. On the day of the actual visit, they were thorough and informative. Very high quality, and it's obvious how much they truly care.

Well, it was worth a try. I have been on a massive quest to find the right veterinary facility that won't push medications and unnecessary charges and this place does both. For my pup's first appointment the staff seemed nice and welcome. They were excited to see him and were honest enough about the shots (although they pushed the bordetella vaccine quite a bit, which we opted out of since we don't plan on boarding anytime soon). We visited with Dr. Fong and he seemed nice and happy to see our pup too. Today turned into the usual bad vet experience. They charged $40 just for the checkup even though the pup is perfectly healthy, but I accept because it's the vet. I asked for a fresh sample of Nexguard (a flea pill) because I told them I gave the one sample to my parents to try on their dog since he has fleas (and let them know about this place thinking they're good), they said no problem and gave me the second sample. They get the pup back to us, tell us his shot didn't go great, take a while with the bill, and that's because I find out they're spending that time trying to figure out how to charge me for the free sample?! I got back to the office to check the email receipt with the charge. So I call and ask thinking it can be cleared up easily and after waiting a long time on the phone they tell me because I gave the sample to my parents' dog that I don't get anymore and get charged instead, which was never mentioned in the office. So they tell me it's a free sample, they never mention a charge for the free sample, and they go ahead and add the charge on after my approval in the vet office. I ask if I can then return it because I wasn't interested in committing to a flea medication that I don't even know if it works. They said since it's medication no refunds. So I was charged $24 dollars for one free sample pill of some flea medication on top of my vet bill. Not appreciated. If anyone knows of a good veterinarian that doesn't push pills and bills please let me know. I am continuing my quest to find the right place.

IPH is absolutely wonderful. The vets and technicians worked with me and my husband last year when we had to put down our two 13 year old cats, showing us the support we desperately needed. They continue to work with us on our two new adopted cats. Extra shout out to Dr. Sepp and Wong for always being cheerful in a facility that I'm sure is hard to work in. The technicians and front desk staff are always both kind and professional. I can't imagine running a pet hospital is always fun, but these ppl make what generally feels like a bad thing into a tolerable one.

I can't say enough about they care that Dr. Fong and the staff at IPH has taken with our animals. We have 1 cat and 2 dogs. They love Dr. Fong. It is clear that everyone at this hospital is an animal lover. They take great care to make sure that you are not being over charged by walking you through the charges and giving their personal opinions on how to handle cost and care. One of the best things about going into the office is seeing ALL of the patients up on the wall with their own framed portraits. (We just submitted 3 of ours) They care. I will use and recommend them from here on out.
