We brought my dog in for an allergic reaction to a bee sting. Being our first time experiencing this, our emotions were high. We were not registered patients there but they still took us as soon as we got there. The receptionist was just wonderful getting our information and checking us in. Dr. Shah, was just perfect. So nice and knew exactly what needed to be done. Everyone was so gentle with my dog and ensured me she was going to be okay. I will forever thank everyone at this pet hospital for helping us! There are separate reception areas for dogs and cats.  Great idea!Scheduling was easy and professional.  I was seen on time.Dr. Watson gave my pet rabbit a very thorough exam and discovered he had an upper respiratory infection (dirty paws were the clue).  She was very gentle with him.Because it was my first visit, and I'm a new rabbit owner, she spent awhile explaining about the proper cage and diet, and showed me a couple of excellent web sites for rabbit care.She prescribed an oral antibiotic for his cold.  The fee was very reasonable. Minus 5 stars on this one. This experience showed gross inattention and brought unnecessary prolonged agony to my little rescue pup . The lack of attention was to some of the most basic parts of animal examination , and it caused her continued pain and stress for 6 months when it could have been resolved quickly and without medicines.I worked animal rescue for 14 years, so I'm pretty good at observation, yet my observations fell on dead ears at Pinnacle. I saw all three doctors over time, which makes it all the more upsetting. I paid $1558.00 ( does include flea medicine) for visits that they will not refund me, and they simply gave her more medicines and didn't address my observations. When Sadie came to me she had hot spots on her back and acted likes was having pain in her hindquarters that would shoot or spasm and she'd go into pain, panic and fear. She acted very frightened and avoided touch when this happened. Dr. Forgy and Watson both took her in the back room to examine her, and prescribed shots, ointments and and pills (many expensive ones over 6 months),On the vets notes, they kept writing that she was scratching, and I told them each visit that she wasn't scratching yet they just duplicated what they read from the last visit. I'd repeat that she had 4 small bumps on her back that she couldn't get to, and those seemed to be adding further irritation to her hind quarters...Solution more meds without having any idea what it was. Well....I finally went to ask about a culture and saw Dr. Watson. She commented that she could just give Sadie an array of meds...when I shook my head, she proceeded to sarcastically say she'd take a culture and the took a dirty pocket knife  and start scratching Sadie deeply that she screamed out. This was with a knife that wasn't cleaned or clean and she didn't wash her hands. I told her to stop, called her on the lack of sterility,  and walked out. The attending nurse seemed shaken, stunned and apologized as I left. Over and over I'd told Dr. Watson and then Dr. Park that something was wrong with her right front paw. I thought something was in the center of her pads, Dr. Watson looked quickly in the room with no flashlight, magnifier etc., squeezed her paw so she cried and said no. I knew that there was a problem, Sadie limped and cried when she went any distance, and washed it constantly. Each time at the vet I was told it needed ointment, maybe another shot, and that it was probably an allergy.There's more but I want to tell you what happened.on these issues....I WENT TO ANOTHER VET and told her the symptoms...1. Pain in paw at center area of pads. SHE TOOK SADIE IN UNDER LIGHTS AND USED MAGNIFIER....SHE HANDED ME A LARGE THORN THAT HAD BEEN IMBEDDED IN THE CENTER OF THE PAW FOR"A LONG TIME"  FROM THE WAY IT WAS SEALED UP. THIS TOOK LESS THAN 5 MINUTES.2 SHE LOOKED AT THE SORE AREA ON HER BACK WHERE THE OTHER VET HAD SCRAPED HARD  WITH THE KNIFE, AND NOTED THAT IT WAS INFECTED AND BADLY SCARRED AND THAT WAS KEEPING IT IRRITATED. SHE TOLD ME TO USE AN ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT AND I OPTED FOR PILLS TO BE SURE IT WOULD CLEAR UP. 3. MY PUP WAS IN THE PAIN, ANXIETY AND EXTREME CONFUSION....DISCOMFORT , ALWAYS LOOKING AT HER REAR AND WHIMPERING, BECAUSE HER ANAL GLANDS WERE TOTALLY BLOCKED. THE VET SAID IF THEY'D EVER BEEN CLEANED  IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO. THIS IS A BASIC PROCEDURE!!! SHE WAS IN A LOT OF PAIN WHEN THEY CLEARED THE GLANDS, BUT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHE WAS KISSING THE VET AND WAS WAGGING HER TAIL.  NO MORE HIGH ANXIETY, THAT NIGHT SHE DIDN'T HIDE UNDER A STOOL, SHE JUMPED INTO BED WITH ME (A FIRST), SHE'S LOVING AND QUITE BRAVE AND INQUISITIVE WHERE SHE WAS NERVOUS BEFORE. A NEW SADIE EMERGED ALMOST IMMEDIATELY, AND SHE WAS RUNNING IN CIRCLES, BARKING AND LICKING IN GREAT RELIEF.I'M SO ANGRY THAT PINNACLE VETS COULDN'T FIND A THORN, KNOW NOT TO CUT WITHOUT PROPER INSTRUMENTS OR CLEANING AND FOR PETE'S SAKE...CHECK THE ANAL GLANDS!  I guess I'm going to HAVE TO proceed to small claims and 5 On Your Side since they think they should keep my money. That money should go to making Sadie better and for some good toy's for her pain!!!I'm also going to send my letters to the AAVSB because, not only did they do all the inappropriate actions, but they won't even apologize for mistreatment or refund monies for the same....VERY WRONG. With 2 cats and 2 dogs, we have spent our fair share of time and money at Pinnacle. Each and every experience has been great for both the hoomans and the pets. Recently had a tumor removal from my 3 YO and the service, FU, and explanation was amazing from the front end staff to Dr. Walker. From information I have gathered from other owners/breeders, their pricing structure is pretty reasonable (pets are expensive folks). Read Less

Great experience here today. They were able to get my pup in within 2 hours for a leg injury that needed sutures. Dr. Edwards and her team were compassionate, quick (this was helpful because I had my 4 and 6 year olds with), and great at explaining everything. I highly recommend their office. Unfortunately I had to put our dog down after 15 years recently. Hands down, Pinnacle made a bad situation as easy as it could be. From the care of the staff to even send a card afterwards with a personal note from everyone that day. To the private room that is designed to look like a living room for you to spend the last minutes with your pet. It was top notch. Great experience at this place. They used to be our cat's vet but we changed to another vet due to the proximity to our house. The staff is nice and experienced. Their "cat room" has shelves for your cat to climb and play. Another nice detail is the separate entrance for dogs and cats. Read Less

I've taken my cats here and my roommate has taken her dog and we are both very impressed by their gentle handling techniques and their vast knowledge of animals. It's obvious that they go the extra mile to make your animals feel comfortable and they explain everything they're doing as they do it. Pinnacle staff and doctors go above and beyond for their furry patients. My dog Isis has been seeing Dr. Moore for 3 years now and we would not know what to do without Dr. Moore. She is very thorough and explains step by step what needs to be done when it comes to care for your pet. She is aware of all different kinds of breeds and what aliments can come with these breeds, and takes the time to explain it all to you. Dr. Moore and her staff are very compassionate; they understand that our animals are our family members and even our furry children. Isis was born with a bad knee we have been watching it for three years now, and it came to the time where she needed surgery, she was losing muscle mass in her leg and limping quite often. Dr. Moore referred me to an excellent surgeon; she has a wonderful network of specialty doctors to send her patients to. Isis received surgery at Pinnacle, the surgeon came to the Pinnacle location and they did a wonderful job. It was very fast and we got good news that she will be fixed for the rest of her life and will be able to run, jump, play frisbee and swim as only Sheppards do. Dr. Moore contacted me the night that she got home to make sure everything was going well and the next day Dr. Moore and the Pinnacle staff called me to see how Isis was doing, and took the time to answer any and all questions that I had. Being a concerned parent I did ask some questions twice to make sure I understood how to take care of her at home and they were patient with me and answered everything. Decided to try this vet based on yelp reviews and general web research as the VCA office we normally go to is further away, and since it changed mgrs a few years ago, the practice has become more commercialized in how it interacts with us. So we took our older cat in for a 2nd opinion on a tooth issue and a more serious new problem. We liked that they have their own lab and digital x-ray. It is a relatively new facility and practice but the vets are experienced. Dr. St. Germaine and staff did not disappoint. Extremely attentive to our cat, the best we have seen in years, very friendly and thorough, performed exam and blood draws in the room with us (a first on the blood draws). Discussed results details with us in a way I expect of my own physician and course of treatment approach was better presented, and done by the doctor, not the tech. Will be taking her back for ultrasound followup next week. Impressed and recommended.Read Less
