I never write reviews, but this place was just awesome! We had to sadly put my cat down of a 11 years due to cancer last Friday (may 11th 2018) It breaks our hearts, but the staff themselves cried with us and tried every thing they could, sadly the cancer spread fast once we found out he had it but they put everything on the table they could do, meds, steroids, surgery, chemo, however we didn't wanna do the chemo route sounded miserable, and surgery would have a slim chance he would get out of it alive. My little guy Chowder made it maybe a month longer then expected and till we had to put him down :(. I really appreciate the staff who were very helpful and supportive through our time there and made sure they exhausted every option before putting down Chowder was our only respectful choice to put him out of suffering, they didn't push us to do it but suggested due to him not eating a real meal for 2 weeks and by the end of his life the cancer has gotten into his brain. And they really leveled with us and understood what we were going through and related to us with their stories of pets. Staff were very friendly. The Dr. explained everything that was going to be done and why it was necessary beforehand which i appreciated. Entrusting my best friend to go under anesthesia for a tooth cleaning turned out to be a rather extensive oral surgery in which many teeth were removed. It breaks my heart to think that my baby may have been in pain for a long time with underlying issues that weren't apparent to me. The Dr. sent me to another Dr. with the equipment to do an echocardiogram prior to anesthetizing her to ensure the risk would be minimal. The Dr. herself called for a post-surgical follow-up two weeks later. All in all, I could not have been more pleased with the care and actual CARING both ME AND MY DOG RECEIVED here. I highly recommend this clinic, especially Dr. Catarina Steele. DO DOGGIE DENTAL CARE!!! It is crucial to your best friends' long, healthy, happy life!!! VCA is #1 in my book. Read Less

When an abscess burst on one of my minions and their primary wasn't able to see him, my housemate called up her vet and they were able to see them right away. The vet that he saw was courteous and kind enough to walk us through what happened, how it happened, and what steps were necessary. We've been taking our dogs here for a few years now! Not only is it convenient since we live in the neighborhood, but they staff is excellent! They are so compassionate and you can tell they really care about their jobs and the pets. I brought one of our dogs in today just for some blood work and his harness happened to snap while I was in there. He's absolutely terrified of going to the vet and always has been, so its usually a little stressful to bring him. Not only do they make me feel at ease even when he's panicked, but one of the wonderful women who work there found an extra harness so I wouldn't have to walk him home on his collar. I took my cat in to get checked out and they charged me over $500 for antibiotics, blood tests and x-rays then when I took him back for a check up they wanted to do another blood test and x-ray and so were going to charge me over $200 more. This place is too expensive and I agree with the other reviewer they have a lot of hidden fees and try to sell you their hospital products from the minute you step into the place. I felt like they got mad when I declined to pay larger amounts of money for treatments they say that my cat needed when he really didn't since he is fine now as I have been giving him antibiotics and watching over him. Don't get me wrong some of the staff are very nice and it is a clean facility but I just felt it was too expensive for me. Read Less
